If you use the BBC, CNN or what have you, it is a western news source and thefore full of propoganda.

If you use another source, such as AJ, PressTv or a Chinese network, then they are also involved in the lies and "psyops", although the reasoning behind this isn't clear..

However, if you use a random blog or a You tube post it is the pinnacle of evidential evolution and cannot be disputed. The best form of evidence though is to simply state soemthing as fact without any kind of corroboration.

Face it, you can't win.

There used to be a day when sensible discourse was possible on ATS, but no longer. People with entrenched and, soemtimes, very bizarre views on the world who would not be dissuaded from their beliefs if the evidence to the contrary smacked them in the face and went "BOO"

There is an old saying, you can't win an argument with an idiot. You will be brought down to their level and beaten with experience.

The tornadoes were nowhere close to where the US massacred native americans. That was up North around Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and the Dakotas. Cowboys ran Cattle from San Antonio, TX up to Kansas.

The tornado outbreak was in the Southeast. The worst hitting Alabama.

I can remember a time when ATS wasn't so full of political rhetoric and anti-western garbage, when it focused on intelligent discussion of UFOs and other anomalous phenomena.

Since 2008, things have never been the same on here.

Yea I'm sorry I got carried away, some people are talking about tornadoes and rebels that don't exist.

It's O.K, I also got overwhelmed last night. Do you think the Rebels are Insurgents? I’m starting to think so. My first compassion for them started seeing them as wanting freedom, with no weapons. Now I’m not so sure, that trying to over-throw the government was such a good idea. Then we deal with the power behind the scenes and motives that are not beneficial to the Confederacy. It's crazy!

So 17,000 as the upper boundary? 1000 of which are trained?

What we cannot tell is how many are imported, those numbers are recent.

Its respectable, but hardly a majority in a country of 6 million ish.

We will see. Time will tell.

I do have a question for you. Did you believe the hoopla about Iraq leading up to the invasion?

You may have some very good points, but tornadoes are not the topic here. Perhaps you should start a thread about your theory and attract people who might be more amenable to discussing it?

Yes, September 15th 2008 when Lehman fell and the stock market dropped 777 points. People rushed here to find alternate answers I think. Political issues are still a conspiracy. The world changed in 2008. Those days after the War where we all had the opportunity to prosper are gone. No manufacturing, high unemployment, every other word since 2008 is "not seen since the Great Depression" Things will be the same in the Fall of 2011. I'm not a mind reader but do follow the stock market closely. This is the eye of the storm and the global, double dip recession will be upon us. I think I'd prefer to discuss war than to think of hyperinflation, deflation, stagflation, etc.

Do a lot of arguments break out on the UFO forum? I have an alternate view on that subject.

The UFO forums are still hot arent they? Is this in "Political maddness"? I think it's under breaking news.

It's just different competing groups the same as always, there is no "insurgent" or "terrorist" to any of it. One bunch of trigger happy apes against another. Nobody is innocent here.

Both the rebels and the Government forces are about the same strength. Most of the Libyan Army has defected or deserted, alot of which are now training volunteers in the East. Training only really began about a month ago, with the first "trained" units now ready. Training in this regard though has to be taken in context. They have been trained on how not to shoot themselves in the face or throw a grenade backwards, not to a high standard.

Those numbers are apparently from the end of March. I think the question should be, how many of Gaddafi's fighters are Libyan, rather than how many rebels are. Folowing your logic, if he had as much support as you say, Gaddafi should be able to raise an army of a million volunteers, but can only manage about 3 Brigades of mostly foreign soldiers. Does this not raise a few questions?

Same could be said of Gaddafi. He has vast amounts of cash and gold and yet, cannot field more than a few Brigades of mercenaries and regime loyalists. Why is this if he is so popular, as you claim?

The WMD nonsense? Not a bit, which is why I am historically against the Iraq war (check my posting history if you like).

Had they said "We want Saddam out as he is an bastard and a dictator, I would have gone along with it. I have no problem with regime change, just being lied to. I personally think we should invade other countries too and overthorw more of these nutjobs. The more democracies around the world the better as no true democracy has ever gone to war with another.

Manufacturing moved to asia---hint: CHEAP labor

Something positive for "great depression" NO MORE STOCK MARKET...hopefully as people start to realise how cruel and barbaric capitalism is!

No war necessary. Public Central Banking with market socialism....

I have been on the forums since 2004, I notice you have been here since 2009.

It was a very different site before 2008. Many of the people, especially the intellectuals, from then are long gone.

2008 is when Proto and Slayer signed up and ATS has never been the same since.

Well I apologize for being rude but I can write any way I want to. This isn't a paper I'm having marked, I'm just writing what comes to me at the moment. I don't know how long my response is going to be and could care less about going through the entire thing to make sure it's good paragraph structure or good grammer, I have more important things to do. With that said I will post this comment in paragraphs just so it's easy on your eyes.(each paragraph is a response to each of your comments, so I don't have to quote our entire conversation because frankly I'm not a computer kind of person and I don't know how to quote and respond the way you did so nicely)

I have elaborated why I believe the Libyan uprising is different than the one in Egypt and Tunisia in this thread. Basically we have not seen the same numbers as the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia or even Yemen. Protestors in those countries were camping out and protesting in squares peacefully. Those protestors always maintained change through peace.

So you say you would cut someone's head off if in their shoes. I would kill in defense of myself but I would not cut someone's head off and wave it around like a trophy. To me that is barbaric and pointless.

See my comments earlier in this thread regarding foreign fighters coming from Eastern Libyan. Per capita Libya sends more than any other country. Saudi Arabia sends more but population wise Libya sends more per capita. There are 5 or so links in my earlier comment.

Based on what Ghaddafi has done with his country and all the benefits he has brought, mixed with what we have seen of the rebels so far(waging genocide on black african workers), yes I believe he is a much better leader for his country.

Your saying free education is the norm for most developed countries?
Well I can tell you that it is very expensive and tuition fees are high. I'm pretty sure you English have had protests over high tuition fees for students. So your talking out your arse. Oh so your saying if you get injured oversea's and require surgery, that your government will pay for it. I know you guys have tuition fees and your government will not pay for their citizens to study abroad. You DO pay taxes on your food and government does not give you profit for their exports. So no you do not enjoy the same freedoms as Libyans.

Give me links of innocent Libyans who were executed. Until then your point holds no water.www.youtube.com... < Theres your link for the weapons that the Libyan army does not have. They are brand new and were not stolen from the libyan weapon caches. There are pictures, videos and a guy explaining the whole thing. No music you can say that is annoying. I am looking forward to your comment on this

This is rather sad, but I guess as long as it is someone over there, its no big deal.

Your support the US Gov in this latest attrocity?
It's not like there is anything in it for you are me, and you can dam sure bet there is a hidden agenda to benefit the ones at the top.

But, drink the rah rah rah USA koolaid and it does not matter.

Then, when they attack the homeland, I can already see the OUTRAGE
