then it's a deterrent til you can move on. its a first wave preparation if you have a warning, assuming i'm put into that situation i'll already have a nice motorcycle and lee-enfield with a scope to ride away. if we're talking zombies are just showing up instantly around you then the best method would be gas/ignition traps, or an aerosol can in the microwave while you get out. the noise would be a necessity if it means survival.

well the sword and knives would do, but not for long haha, the crossbow would be good, it depends on the situation though does'nt it?

I think there would still be a bit blood spatter even if it was congieled from the the swing of the blade, some brain might still go in your eye?

imagine IF anything like this did happen in the uk we'd be up sh!t creek! how could we defend ourselves against anything! and my .22 king ratcatcher is'nt going to do much damage I do have some fireworks left though from bonfire night, one of them in the mouth of a zombie and BOOM no head left,

You haven't watched the 'Jeremy Kyle' show over here on the UK, he has zombies appearing on it all the time, their in their larval stage though, they are called chavs.
Too much dumbed down TV, poisoned foods in MaccyD's and poor schooling has made them all braindead hence ZOMBIES.
Seriously you gotta watch JK, even if it's for a few minutes before you get too sick watching the 'future generation' ( we're so screwed ), better yet watch Youtube you'll see what I mean.
