This guy seems to know what he is saying and if hes in the military he WOULD know about the private contractors because they do live on base......He sees how they do not do much, and i know that first hand to be a fact!...Hes legit imo and lets say hes not, from what little bit of the video i saw all that he said IS really true.

Are you kidding? All the contractors our company has had or are that are in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Pakistan work their butts off. Your proof of this is what? I have the actual data created - reports to AFCEE, tons of AutoCAD survey work, multiple projects all requiring a ton of planning and actual work. I don't know who you think you know over there that is lazing about, but most companies have very productive people, because you HAVE to, if you want further work, and to get paid. They are operating under very tight schedules to do an awful lot of work.

And there is no way you can tell if this guy is a soldier - you are all guessing. He seems legit? um.. ok.

If this POS shirker hates the US military policy so much, ummmm, why did he join up and serve, as I did as well, years before 9-11. He looks about 25 which would put him at about 15 when 9-11 happened, we've been a volunteer force since Vietnam, what exactly did he not understand about that, maybe he's an illegal immigrant and was trying to get his citizenship...... As Patton said, the only time you worry about a grunt is when he isn't bitchin'. All I see is a jackass in a boonie hat which hasn't ever been issued spreading propaganda for war haters, which granted is all of us I hope, but has no peg leg to stand on. He joins, then get's upset about the fact that it wasn't a wonderful experience? C'mon ATS, give me a freaking break. He's sounds like an upset pussy.

What makes him a US soldier? His camoflauge floppy hat & bracelet?

I noticed that too. And coming from a family with a lot of military experience, he just doesn't strike me as a "soldier-type" for whatever reason.

No, that's what Kissenger thought about Al Haig who was a former general and chief of staff under Nixon. Strange that anyone that is a proponet of freedom woud quote one Nixon appointees opinion about another.

Not so.

This is the quote, "Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy". He was making a statement of his opinion of military men in general. Makes no difference if it is Democrat or Republican. None of them give a damn about soldiers as long as they do exactly what they are ordered and are unable to reason right from wrong.

Do you really think these elites care for you as an enlisted man with a rifle and a mission? Enlisted men are just there to produce profit for the corporations who make profits on the many wars they promote. The elites only cry over the dead soldier when the cameras are running. They laugh at the thought of you risking life and limb for a cheap medal. They feel nothing for the grunt soldier. TPTB love obedient drones who don't question anything they are told to do.

People should put this on their facebook etc so that the unawakened can see why the rest of us are against these wars.
It doesn`t make us un-patriotic to want out.
Isn`t patriotism to look after our own and not send them out to be killed.......through lies?
We can`t let any more people die in the name of greedy corporations and politicians.

Great thread.

Ummmmmm, they volunteer to go out and kill others. If you don't think I know what I speak about I was an infantry soldier in 2001...... If they don't know what they are getting "into" they are POS like this monkey, who accomplishes nothing more than babbling on like an idiot after the fact.

Obama IS the antichrist, just on aside note.

Why is everyone talking about the first soldier in the video. There were several soldiers in the video, including press conferences. Clearly some of them were soldiers.

Besides, who cares if the guy is or isn't a real soldier. He was right! And they all pretty much said the same thing. We got duped into going, and then when we got there, there was clearly a different agenda than what was being told by the media.

Let's see...what were we told again?

Bin Laden is hiding in caves in Afghanistan and we gotta "smoke him out" and Iraq has WMDs and Al-Qaeda, planing another BIGGER attack on the U.S.

I was on board, most people I know were on board and the soldiers were ready to protect the homeland!

Which was all based on BS!

So they're just innocent "Baby Killers" is what you're saying......And because they are of the intelligence level that they don't understand that joining a standing Army in war time means killing folks, we should listen to them because they are more intelligent than you.....................

Military Men Are Dumb, Stupid Animals
author: doubleplusgood
many people have asked about the origin of a quote from Henry Kissinger regarding military men, which came from Woodward and Bernstein's "The Final Days" (1976). Here is the complete paragraph--and for context, the one following--excerpted from pages 194-195 of the second Touchstone paperback edition (1994).
Alexander Haig, newly appointed White House chief of staff, greets newsmen in H. R. Haldeman's former office on May 4, 1973. (UPI / Bettmann)
====================

In their December 1975 Foreword to "The Final Days", Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein state that the book is based on interviews and re-interviews with 394 people, concentrating on the last 100 days of Nixon's administration. None of the quotes or information in the book is individually footnoted or referenced--they do mention that "we did not accord equal weight to all sources," and that "nothing in this book has been reconstructed without accounts from at least two people."

Authors Woodward and Bernstein also note that "The Final Days" is "the work of four people. Scott Armstrong, a former Senate Watergate Committee investigator, and Al Kamen, a free-lance writer/researcher, assisted us full time in the reporting, research and some of the writing."

Kissinger's quote regarding miltary men comes from Chapter 14, which extensively discusses Al Haig, Kissinger and other Nixon staff advisors' negotiations and differences over national security issues during the 1969-1974 period.

The exact, direct quote marks begin with the word 'dumb' and terminate after the word 'used'.

Here is the FULL KISSINGER QUOTE verbatim from the bottom two lines of page 194 to line 14 of page 195:

====================
[paragraph]
In Haig's presence, Kissinger referred pointedly to military men as "dumb, stupid animals to be used" as pawns for foreign policy. Kissinger often took up a post outside the doorway to Haig's office and dressed him down in front of the secretaries for alleged acts of incompetence with which Haig was not even remotely involved. Once when the Air Force was authorized to resume bombing of North Vietnam, the planes did not fly on certain days because of bad weather. Kissinger assailed Haig. He complained bitterly that the generals had been screamin for the limits to be taken off but that now their pilots were afraid to go up in a little fog. The country needed generals who could win battles, Kissinger said, not good briefers like Haig.

[paragraph]
On another occasion, when Haig was leaving for a trip to Cambodia to meet with Premier Lon Nol, Kissinger escorted him to a staff car, where reporters and a retinue of aides waited. As Haig bent to get into the automobile, Kissinger stopped him and began polishing the single star on his shoulder. "Al, if you're a good boy, I'll get you another one," he said.

You know this because you were a grunt right?

My first company commander was General Stanley J. McChrystal when he was a Captain. I also worked for General Abizaid when he was a Lt. Colonel. Went to infantry school in 1985, my first conflict was the Persian Gulf War and I don't really care what the elite thinks as long as I get paid.

Can't speak for everyone, but I've never met an Infantry soldier that cared about "who we were really killing for". The two highest priorities are getting back to our families and getting paid.

Who cares if he was a real soldier? Everyone in this thread should care if he's a real soldier. If he's not then he needs to be eliminated from consideration. He can't talk from experience if he hasn't been there which make's his point moot. I could only get through 45 seconds of this video before I couldn't take it anymore and turned the Eminem wanna be off.

He doesn't look old enough to be in pre-911, so when he signed up he knew he was going to war, specially "if" he's a marine/army guy. When you enter the military you choose whether you are going to serve honorably or not. In my 20 years I spent in, I ran into many of individuals such as this one. They are the ones that I would only fall on my sword once for. They want everything given to them and not work for it. They demand respect without giving it. IF things were really as bad as he says, there would be a revolt in the military. Guess what there is not a revolt in the military. That in itself speaks volumes.

And yes I served in Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Things didn't run perfectly, no war does, it's call the fog of war.

Every armed conflict involves politics, it is a harsh thing to deal with, but it's a truism. No such thing as a perfect war for perfect reasons. The only way to have that is to not have war to begin with. By the time somone is 18 and graduates high school they should know what war is and the costs. At the very least by the end of Basic Training, you know you are going to most likely kill people and some of your buddies won't be coming home with you.

THAT is the whole point. But according to damage control, which is the clear and present danger in this thread, they are obligated to serve these bastards even when what they signed up for was to defend this country against invasion. NOT to participate in the plundering of countries. And this soldier (and I believe he is a soldier) is upset and rightly so because he is about to die for a lie. Just like Vietnam, and just like Iraq. It's not what he signed up for. He put his trust in the wrong people by signing up, because they have proven OVER and OVER again, that they JUST DON'T CARE. They'll kill you. No problem. NONE.

Damage control wants you to serve their will. AGAINST the bigger will of the American people. He signed up to defend the people, not this total BS.
