I agree with the poster above, I am sick of hearing all the propaganda about how humans are evil and need to be wiped out a little, you know this earth has enough land food and other resources that not one person not one of us however many billions of people need to go hungry or homeless, not one! The images that the OP showed are confronting and disturbing yes and yes we do need to account for allowing TPTB, and it is TPTB that are the biggest threat to our world however well they play the "we are eco concious humanitarians" line, to dehuminise us and lead us to lives of senseless excess and greed, but the worst thing we are doing is buying into this lie that humans are a mistake and there are too many of us and we should all just die Im sorry but Im not going to be a willing matyre so that TPTB can institute their new world order of COMPLETLY soulless drones and FAKE utopia.....

The OP mentioned recycling, I dont know what country this person is in but my country of birth is New Zealand and do you know where most of New Zealands recycling ends up? THE THIRD WORLD!! Yep it gets dumped not in our own garbage heaps but the third worlds so I really dont understand how recycling is "eco freindly"

I find it very interesting that the very people who have been riiping this earth apart and who initiated the social systems that we all follow and that the OP has said is the reason earth is all out of whack, the very people who have caused all the death and decay we see around us, seem to think they are humanities saviours! "..... A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature"

They dehuminised us, initiated a world order based on death, they (knowing the human psychy and being proficcient in the art of manipulation) conditioned us to believe we need the way of life that causes such in-balance and now they are going to fix it all by killing off most of us then instituting another system of their own devising.... Hello utopia- another golden age begun with the shedding of blood!

Anyway I just think that instead of getting angry at ourselves (and eachother) and becoming willing participants in our own executions, we need to be angry at our governments and ask ourselves who do they really serve? Us or the powers who have been working tirelessly to re-create earth and extiguish their biggest threat (which is us in case you didnt know WE are THEIR biggest threat and the sooner we realise it the better!)

i'm convinced it isn't US (as in we, not as in USA), that is the problem in the first place. granted some people litter, but littering is alot less now that people were made aware of how bad littering is for the envirionment and health of the population of humans/animals/etc. we also know that solar and wind power alternatives are better, and many are using either or both, right now. we've also instituted various forms of garbage recycling. to suggest we aren't aware and/or using green ideas to begin with, is ridiculous. in the west, we were encouraged (in more ways than one) not to have huge families, due to population overgrowth, and we took it seriously and stopped having huge families.

woodstock, the hippie health love peace and original eco friendly people, left tons of junk at woodstock. most people pick up after themselves, except when they are inebriated and/or drugged up. even hippies, even mainstream people who are being mischaracterized as polluters. i'm gettin' real tired of this particular line of "if you ain't a commie, you don't care about the planet."

Did any of you guys looks at pictures of the National mall after the various rallies there? The oh so nasty tea party people left it spotless ...the nice socialist/communist types left piles of trash everywhere ...

Do as I say, not as I do - I guess.

Who is trying to care for the planet? hmmmmm

Overpopulation is NOT a problem of space, it's a problem of resources, resource distribution, and last but not least environmental impact.

I am sick and tired to hear "we have so much empty space" and, my favourite, "we have enough resources to support everyone".

Yes, physically we have plenty of space. Did you consider how much of that empty space is already used for food production for the current population, how much is simply uninhabitable and unusable for agriculture, and how much is taken up by important ecosystems that we shouldn't disturb any further because they perform important functions that we just barely begin to understand?

As for "we have enough food to feed everyone", yeah, it's true, we have. And still we don't manage to do it. If we can't do it with 6 billion people, we definitely won't be able to do it with 10 billion people or more.

We are overpopulated, and people who say we are not are simply using a different definition of the word "overpopulation" than me.

I do not understand why people are emotional when they see images of suffering or destruction ... I do not denigrate this post, it is helpful and after ?...
only reading this post i start the pollution process
what we do? just saying great post, and star flag ... after we shut down our computer and we return polluted and rotting the life of another person on the other side of the planet ...
I know what I am ... a liar, I was lying to myself, I know my responsibility, but every day I was lying to myself, I feel good, I sort my garbage, I buy light bulbs, I pay attention when i buy my food but the truth all this is a bull#
i'm a stupid liar, being with the light on, with my clothes and my computer I pollute, only when i stop this lie, stop using my car, stop buying, using my computer, my television, to buy my food, stop to being what i'm, only at this moment things will change.

I answered a post a few days ago about the famine and our responsibility
I put the link here

link

and the list and lies goes on whether that made some think that race is superior to others, that some religions are superior to others, distrust, denial, fear, selfishness, obedient ...

So ask yourself this question... are you a liar
if you don't want face it you already know the answer.

So great post ... but that is useless ... it shows just how human are helpless against the monster he created.

we don't manage to do it because the people who need to be willing to be part of the solution are not willing. for example, we've sent trillions of charitable dollars to places overseas, to help starving children. but war lords take it, rival political factions take it, governments cease it and use huge portions of it up for everything except feeding starving people. what good's an education if you don't have enough brain power to learn, due to years of near starvation level diets? it's certainly not the fault of donors, that the people who the money is meant for, never fully realize the benefits. people who are here fussing about the donors, should be putting their focus where the real problems are.

I don't think this thread is so benign as many ATS members may think. This thread is basically promoting the reduction of human species on earth in one way or another. The filth on the earth is all our human's fault. So a large portion of the humans should be killed off. Isn't that it? Why only the close up of all the filth on earth?

No one here thinks people SHOULD be killed off. Most of us are worried about it actually.

As it happens, in nature, when a population has grown out of control, either the individuals begin starving to death until a sustainable number is reached, or they begin dying because of some disease. Or they impact their ecosystem to the point where it cannot sustain them any more. Either case, we should be worried.

The focus is on the filth, pollution and destruction because those are our problems. We could talk about pretty flowers on a field too i guess, but maybe in a different thread?

So we don't manage to distribute resources in a way that would feed everyone partially because of human nature (greed, hunger for power). Well, human nature most likely won't improve with growing population numbers. On the contrary, I would say.

Also, call me an idealist, but a society should be able to feed itself, and not wait for charity. If they can't feed everyone, they're overcrowded. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against charity, in the current situation I think it's our duty to help the less fortunate ones, but in an ideal world, everyone should be able to feed themselves on their own.

watch the video above.

you kinda miss my point. you almost get it. this is the logic chain of what this thread is saying as a whole:

1. people suck
2. the environment's in trouble because people suck
3. people are starving because people suck
4. so to fix the problem, dead people = good, because people suck
5. but starving people is wrong or not helping starving people is wrong (even if you are helping starving people, we have to ignore that because the money isn't used wisely)
6. however, suggesting they all die in a cataclysm is good.
7. and this is totally logical thinking because we have to save the planet to keep people from starving. and what better way, than killing them so they don't starve. (you might ask them if they agree)

We have lost our humanity...
We have been blinded by the illusion that happiness is money.
We have been blinded by the illusion that happiness is sex.
We have been blinded by the illusion that happiness can be found in material things.
But we have been fooled... the wicked elite have been laughing at our disposal... planting these material seeds into our heads.
In the real world, the world where happiness no longer exists... there is only true sadness and shame.
We have "unknowingly" traded our most precious resources for worthless materialistic junk...
We have "unknowingly" entrusted our lives to the wicked, the wicked that take our precious lives and wonderful minds to be killed and kill others for their own material benefits... true sadness
Instead of seeing distraught starving children in Africa we see happy glowing kids eating burgers and dancing with clowns...shame.
We must rise against and stop this madness before we reach the point of no return.

Again, I don't think that anyone in their right minds believes that people dying (by starvation, in a cataclysm, whatever) is a good thing. At least I don't.

We have a problem. Actually we have many.

We don't really have any solutions for these problems.

People might die because of those problems. In fact, they are already.

People dying is not the solution, it's actually the consequence of these problems.

Edit: believe it or not, even though I am a "greenie" or whatever the term is, I am as much worried about the fate of the human race as I am about the fate of the rest of life on earth. It's not like I care more about polar bears and baby seals than about humans.

but people have died from disease and the results of living in close quarters, for thousands of years. have you seen the city plans of any of the sumerian cities? those people were packed together like sardines and they didn't have health care if they broke a bone or were bit by a snake. i'm going to suggest something revolutionary for you to consider (and by revolutionary, i'm not saying something to revolt over, but rather a change in viewpoint, ever so slightly (cause i agree about saving the environment but believe it should be handled responsibly with the end goal of not lessening the quality of life of people who are already struggling but rather improving it. a person with clean air is not going to understand how that's gonna help them if they can't eat enough food to maintain quality of life due to the cost of maintaining clean air). here's a thought:

how about we start looking into REAL environmentally friendly solutions that can be done without all the added costs to the consumers? why not insist that we develop space for our populations instead of insisting we keep everyone here on this planet, with no other solution than killing us off............ there ARE people friendly solutions. we just are not allowed to have them because they are reserved by the same people who are teaching us that we should volunteer to be mass executed for the sake of the planet. the universe is a big place and they don't own it all, presumably. why not share it with the rest of us?

you must keep in mind tho bretheren humanity has been fed this stuff and minipulated into using these items to kill ourselves. There is another FACTOR OF THE UNSEEN IT SEEMS.
for caring about EA.

NOT only fed with "stuff", but also washed in dangerous chemicals, radiated with mobile phones, wi-fi, radio/tv signals, nuclear explosions (hundreds if not thousands).

We are also genetically manipulated directly (creation story in bible, Marry getting artificially pregnant) and indirectly - by killing smartest people in wars (ww1, ww2 and others).

We are all indoctrinated to think what is safe and what is not, instead of thinking what is good (useful) or bad.

surely there must be a genius out there with easy to use, naturally available, clean form of energy, that doesn't require mechanical parts, doesn't require alot of resources, and can be implemented by impoverished people the world over.

The laws that truly rule the planet (which are not those we've created but just slightly described) will operate against us when we finally take all this to a "Earth-or-We" situation.

I'd root for Earth for she has Universe backing her

But she should be warned... If she let us go with 100 survivors (mostly females).... WE WILL BE BACK !!!
