In revelations it is clearly stated that the AntiChrist will be a man.

yes according to islamic literature you can rule out Mahdi of being the anti-christ, totally different characters, Dajjal is the anti-christ, actually, the term "anti-christ" translates literally to Dajjal in Arabic.

A total solar eclipse passed over the Atlantic Ocean off Africa, Sudan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and ending in Siberia. Its interesting that it passed over the Middle East and Siberia. Note that an August 1999 solar eclipse in Europe occured when Putin rose to power to be second in command in Russia.

July 14, 1952.
Related to this date is a prophecy of American psychic Jean Dixon, described in the book "A Gift of Prophecy, The Phenomenal Jean Dixon" by Ruth Montgomery, published in 1965 by Bantam Books. Jean Dixon is said to have had a vision on July 14, 1952: a vision of a large snake, that was a very wise snake; its eyes were looking toward the East, with great wisdom. She felt that this snake knew all things. The snake told her that she too must look to the East for wisdom. And she felt that this snake was a bringer of peace on Earth and good will and great knowledge. I would connect this snake with Putin, where on July 14, 1952 he would be about 6 months-6 days from conception (similar to 666, the Number of the Beast). On the pages on Russia and Hebrew I connect Putin with the serpent or snake and Ra the Egyptian sun deity; in Hebrew "peten" means "Cobra". I think the snake Jean Dixon saw was Putin the Antichrist, soon to be born.

Vladimir V. Putin was born in St. Petersburg Russia, near the time of the first U.S. Hydrogen Bomb test on Nov. 1, 1952. Note that Leningrad is on the ocean, and the Antichrist rises out of the sea in Revelation 13. And Julian Year 6666 is 1953; Julian time is used in astronomy and science and counts days from Jan. 1, 4713 B. C.; and note that 666 is the number of the Antichrist in the Book of Revelation. And note the grouping of planets in the sign Libra in his chart.

The words in Psalm 52 certainly would apply to an Antichrist: "O mighty man", "Thou lovest evil more than good".

Putin moves into the house he had built, in the suburbs of St. Petersburg. After building it for 6 years, he just lived in it for 6 weeks before it burnt down, because the sauna was not installed correctly. He rescued his two daughters from the fire, and he barely got out alive himself. Note the number 6 as in 666: he built the house for 6 years, and he lived in it 6 weeks before it burnt down. An interesting event, considering that he is the Antichrist.
1998. Putin is appointed by Yeltsin to be head of the Federal Security Bureau (FSB), the Russian successor to the KGB.
Aug. 9, 1999. Putin becomes Russian Prime Minister at the time of the Aug. 11 solar eclipse over Europe (including part of Germany), and the Aug. 18 Grand Cross Astrology pattern, that I have connected with the rise of the Antichrist.

the day of this largest solar blast ever measured, the Antichrist Russian President Putin arrived in Rome, for a 2 day visit that included talks with Italy's President, the Pope, and a summit with the European Union leaders. Could this giant solar flare be a case of Putin bringing fire down from heaven? Also note that the Oct. 28 solar flare was magnitude X17.2, and Revelation 17:2 is about the woman who rides the Antichrist beast, this woman is Europa/Europe. Also, on November 3 Putin met in Moscow with Israel Prime Minister Sharon. In the last week of October, Russia promoted a peace plan for the Israel-Palestinian conflict, that is backed by Russia, the U.S., the European Union, and the U.N..

Note that it is exactly 3 1/2 years (42 months)after the May 5, 2000 alignment of planets, 2 days before the May 7 2000 Putin inauguration as Russian President following his election. Revelation 13:5:
"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."

During the End Times period expect to see the world hit by all kinds of disasters and the four horsemen of the apocalypse: war, plagues, economic chaos, volcanoes, earthquakes, weather change, Muslim terrorism, meteors or comets hitting earth. This period is in Bible prophecy considered a period of time described in the old testament Book of Daniel. Note also that Daniel 12:11,12 refers to time periods of 1290 days from this midpoint to "the abomination that maketh desolate" (May 17, 2007) and 1335 days to "Blessed is he that waiteth" (July 1, 2007).

Also note that on the pages on Russia and on Hebrew I discuss Putin's connection to the Egyptian sun god Ra (Rasputin - Ra + Putin) symbolized by a cobra around the sun, "peten" meaning Cobra in Hebrew. So this is another connection of Putin to these solar flares, Putin's connection to Ra. And also note that Oct. 28 2003, the first large solar flare, and the day before Devil's Night (the day before Halloween), was exactly 18648=28x666=21x888 days after the Putin birth date of Oct. 7, 1952; 666 is the number of the Antichrist in Revelation 13 and 888 is the number for Jesus in Greek, see the Greek page for explanation on this. Because of all this, I think somehow Putin gained Satanic power during his visit to Rome of Nov. 4-6 2003, and he actually visited the Vatican on November 6, beginning the End Times events. And a few days later during a Nov. 8 lunar eclipse there was a rare grand sextile diamond shaped astrology pattern called the Harmonic Concordance. Relate it to the diamond shape of geographic coordinates discussed on the Russia page. Note this Astrology pattern has 6 sides (666 again). This Astrology pattern may be a gateway for Putin's rise as Antichrist.

Vladimir Putin was in power before and he will be again in 2012, from 2012 on the president of Russia will stay in power for 6 years instead of
4 years. Dmitry Medvedev is the Putins puppet, so Medvedev could be "Mabus" also, some interpretations say that Mabus is the "helper" of the real Antichrist !

When you read the prophecies that will be fulfilled by the anti-christ you can see that Putin is a number 1 candidate to be the anti-christ.

For nine years the thin man will keep a peaceful rule, then he will fall into so bloody a thirst that a great nation will die for him without faith or law; killed by a much better natured man ~ Nostradamus, II.9

Vladimir Putin came into power in 1999. Could this quatrain refer to his 9 year peaceful rule, which will end in 2008, in 2008 when he did lead Russia into a bloody invasion of Georgia, according some prophecies he will join the Arabs for an invasion of the West.

What do we know of the Anti-Christ? It is written in Revelations 13:7

1. Daniel 7:24-25
The antichrist will be a man.
Putin is also a man.

2. Daniel 9:27
He will confirm a covenant for 7 years.

Now also, this does not mean that he creates this covenant. The word here for "confirm" is 1396 gabar (gaw-bar'); a primitive root;to be strong; by implication, to prevail, act insolently: KJV-- exceed, confirm, be great, be mighty, prevail, put to more [strength], strengthen,be
stronger, be valiant. The antichrist will strengthen a covenant for a 7 year time span. Now this could be an existing covenant (like the Jerusalem Covenant) or a new covenant drawn up at that time.

3. Daniel 7:8
He will rise among 10 kings

4. Daniel 2:44
This 10 nation union will be a revived Holy Roman Empire.

5. Daniel 7:8
He will uproot 3 kings from the original 10 kings to gain political power.

6. Revelations 13:1-2
His 10 nation union will merge into a world government which he will dominate.

7. Daniel 8:25
He will ascend to power on a platform of peace. By peace, he will destroy many.

8. Revelations 13:11-12
He will be promoted and exalted by a miracle working religious partner (False Prophet))

9. Revelations 17:8
He was, and is not, and yet is.

More than likely this is referring to political power. The antichrist will have ruled, but then be taken out of power. Only to rise back up again to power as the head of the One World Government.
Putin was in power before from 1999 till 2008 and will be back in 2012

10. Revelations 17:14
The world government over which he rules will be a red (communistic or socialistic) government.

It is also possible that the red 10-horned beast of the Book of Revelation could consist of Russia as the red beast, and the 10 horns could be 10 other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Also note that if Belarus combines with Russia (which has been discussed, the two countries may unify) then the shape of the countries looks a bit like a "beast" with the legs in the Caucasus and near Vladivostok, and Belarus serving as the head, on this page on New Age Geography I discuss how the shapes of countries relate to their role in history. St. Petersburg, where Putin is from, could then be the base of one of the "horns" of the beast, where the prophecies of the Book of Daniel 7:8 describe the Antichrist as a "little horn".

And finally this about his name and birth

Note that, concerning Russian President Vladimir Putin:
--"Peten", a similar sounding word in Hebrew (the language of the Bible's Old Testament") means "cobra" -- the deadly snake. And "Vlad" in Hebrew means "infant". So, "child of the serpent" See my page on the 2004 election chaos and Dioxin poisoning of one candidate in the Ukraine, that Putin may have ordered; this cobra has a poison bite.

-"Put" in Biblical reference was one of the sons of Ham, and also a country usually identified with Libya.

--The Englsh name "Putt" means "dweller near a pit or pond". In Revelation 9:1 (King James version) Satan is represented as "a star fall from heaven unto earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace". The key could be the key to the nuclear weapons that Putin now possesses.

--Some similar sounding words: in Spanish "puta" means "harlot", and in French "putain" means "harlot", making one think of the woman "Babylon" (that I think is Europe) that rides the red beast in Revelation 17: "and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns...And upon her forehead was a name written, "Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth"

--In Hindu mythology, the female demon Putana was a daughter of Bali, the Monkey King. Putana tried to murder the infant Krisna (a Hindu avatar, a Hindu type of Christ-like Messiah figure), by giving him her poisonous milk. Krisna later destroyed Putana. Analogous to the Christ and Antichrist in the Book of Revelation.

--Putin's grandfather was a cook to Lenin and Stalin, and therefore he worked in "Hell's Kitchen". Note that the "food" for Stalin was analagous to the millions of Russians he murdered.

--Putin's mother was named Mariya, similar to Mary, Mother of Christ.

--Putin's father served in the Russian Navy and submarine service, and note that the Antichrist in Revelation 13 rises out of the sea. Putin's father was born in Leningrad, a seaport.

--Putin was born on Oct. 7 1952 in Leningrad, near the time of the first U.S. Hydrogen Bomb test on Nov. 1, 1952. Note that Heinrich Himmler was born on this same day of the year, Oct. 7, 1900. Himmler was in charge of the Gestapo, Hitler's secret police, and Hitler's second-in-command. Note that Putin was in the KGB, the Soviet secret police and intelligence agency. Could the KGB be a "cage" that Satan is released from, as in Revelation 20:7 where Satan is released from prison. And also note that Leningrad where Putin was born is .666 of the distance from the Equator to the North Pole.

-- In Matthew 16:18, Christ says to Peter (King James version): "thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". Putin is from St. Petersburg, then named Leningrad. During World War II, the German "gates of Hell" could not prevail against Leningrad/St. Petersburg, which held out against a German siege and was never occupied by the Germans. Also, Peter the Disciple of Christ was a fisherman, and it was Czar Peter the Great of Russia who built the Russian Navy. So a kind of Christ / Antichrist Putin parallel on the subject of Peter.
