I think you can understand that with these sorts of gaffes it makes harder to believe that's seriously being investigated rather than just rhetoric to keep the news cycle going.

All I see from that clip is someone who is inexperienced with being interviewed on TV and says nothing about her intelligence. YouTube clips are nice but prove nothing regarding this topic as I could post many showing all the gaffs of Obama and he is supposed to be the smartest president ever.
Her accomplishments as governor that I posted prove she is more than capable of being President.

oh please it was a verbal slip. of all the things to make a headline about. she corrected herself 2 seconds later. this is comparable to obama's 57 state thing or anytime anybody accidentally says iran instead of iraq, it automatically becomes a conspiracy about war with iran. this korea thing is very serious, we need to focus coverage on what our current government plans on doing about it and not some minor slip up by a reality tv star.

well said. this fixation on the other side always having to be either; 1. dumber than rocks, or 2. evil. is tearing this country apart. the lady is an accomplished leader. you may hate her stance on stuff, but to grab at every verbal gaffe as proof that she's incapable of getting things done or being elected to higher office is a gross "misunderestimation." Id' advise the palin haters to go back to the drawing board and start attacking her record, rather than wasting time pretending it doesn't exist and insulting her intelligence instead. Otherwise, she might just surprise us all in 2012.

America deserves exgov Palin as President! American culture and politics in particular has slid into the realm of
surrealism; it's only logical that trailer trash and charlatans assume the positions of leadership.

It's a cryin shame that Angle, Odonnell lost! Along with Sarah they could have ushered in a Theological, matriarchal version of the Taliban that America could have been proud of!!

Sarah Palin and ALL her Progeny, as well as lovers, have got to be the stupidest people on the planet, absolutely abysmally foolish and beyond her 2 digit IQ..seriously I will renounce my citizenship if the likes of this dumb B..tch EVER holds national office what a mental midget...I didn't know I could hate till I met her family and her supporters

This is certainly a vitriolic response. On what do you base your opinion? When and where did you meet her and her family and what was the story to it that could possibly lead you to make such acerbic statements?

Using your flawed logic, saying that Palin is trailer trash is like saying Obama is ghetto trash.
It is totally baseless and only shows your bias.

The list of cited accomplishments is definitely interesting, but as I go through it I see there are some caveats ( www.factcheck.org... ).

All I see from that clip is someone who is inexperienced with being interviewed on TV and says nothing about her intelligence. YouTube clips are nice but prove nothing regarding this topic ...

Couric gave Palin a full opportunity to respond to the claims of how being the governor of Alaska, with its adjacency to Russia, contributed to her platform in terms of foreign policy experience. Her response is (1) Putin and Russian diplomats occasionally fly in to Alaskan airspace (2) We're near Canada too. Couric even gave her the opportunity to discuss trade deals to try to further legitimize the claim, but Palin glossed over this in favor of the other two bullet-points.

So to compound an embarrassing interview like this with an additional gaffe over North / South Korea, again in the international category, should cause any citizen to be a little worried.

Sarah Palin is an idiot...this however was just a slip of the tongue that didn't mean anything.

Happens to all of us...this was just documented and used as political fodder.

She'll have some devoted followers....but she'll never be President. If I were a woman, I'd want the first female President to look and act intelligent.

She does neither. Wish she'd just go away...but that will never happen when News Corp and Beck are slobbering all over every day and touting her as a smart women who has shown absolutely no proof of any kind that she has any type of problem solving ability.

She's been nothing but a talking campaign slogan since day one.

Has Obama visited all 57 States yet?

Just wondering?

According to your link its all pretty much true so I don't see your point. Plus, who says the website you linked to is not bias in some ways and is always accurate. Even IF it was only half true, it is still more experience than our current president, so again I don't see your point.

Again, I chalk it up to nerves/inexperience with doing live TV interviews. No big deal.

Why? Would you applaud the same plans for Obama?
You must be the poster child for Palin derangement syndrome.

Was she speaking about all "57 states", or just our socialist states - New York and California. Maybe she did not have her teleprompter? Did she accidently say she's a Muslim? I don't know...

I was listening to the show when she said it and she was in the middle of talking and mis-spoke, but then quickly corrected herself and said South Korean, but the article conveniently left that part out. Figures. Anyway, who cares, At last she has never claimed to have visited all 57 states like our moron of a president did, or told a guy in a wheelchair (Sen. Robert Byrd) to "stand up and be recognized" like our even bigger of a moron VP did.

Politicians are notoriously prone to verbal gaffs. Sarah Palin included. For the sake of my continued sanity, can we please let this non issue go? Verbal gaffs, which we all, everyone of us, have upon occasion are hardly indicative of intelligence or lack of same.

In otherwords? Non issue.

I agree. As much as I dislike Sarah Palin she is just human at the end of the day. She can make mistakes, just like any other politician. I'm sure that she's not as dumb as to literally think North Korea is an ally of the United states.

None issue.

I dont know about her political capabilities but she could talk under wet concrete with a mouth full of rice bubbles-quite a motor mouth.
