Republocrats and Dempublicans are two feet walking the same body.

They have very little to do with why the world is messed up at the moment, the problem is the central banks and the neoliberalism global capitalist system that an apathetic public let become ingrained, that is creating the problems.

Atleast a fair chunk of the groups involved in The One Nation Rally understand that much.

Well said. I'm in total agreement with you. However, I do think their is hope. Their system is crumbling and when it does the people will rise up. We can only hope that at that moment we have leaders in place who want to do the right thing. If we do, we'll have an opportunity to rebuild a system which doesn't allow this to happen again.

I can appreciate what the "conservatives" in this thread are concerned about here, but come on, you really don't believe that a: you live in a "capitalist" society, b: that capitalism is somehow better than socialism, c: that the gov't gives a sh*t what the people in this country think, and finally d: that this rally or movement is going to make any difference in your life whatsoever...do you?

I know that many of you just blew steam out of your ears and immediately started to type something along the lines of "What, capitalism not better than socialism? Nazis, Europe, War, lower standard of living, no incentive, American dream, and I can't get rich being a socialist you commie bastard!!! I used to think the same way, then I realized that it just isn't realistic.

For instance, I love Ron Paul and have read all of his books and believe very much that he is an honest and genuine man with a fantastic understanding of economics, constititional law, and common sense. He makes completely convincing arguments for free market capitalism and history seems to show that there is no more prosperous economic or social system. Unfortunately, the system is fatally flawed and the current turmoil is proof positive of this. The flaw is that it relies on people to be honest and the law to be absolute for everyone. But that is unrealistic because the rich, as you all know, don't live by the same rules we do. Hell, corporations have more rights than real people. Why is that? Because they have enough money to buy their freedom, other peoples thoughts, air time, to change laws etc....and what my friends allowed them to amass such stagering wealth? Capitalism. If money is more valuable than justice; more valuable than the survival of our habitat; then it upsets any and all economic or political systems and puts us on a self-destructive path to extinction. Argue with me.

The amount of anti-socialist brain-washing you guys have been put through it just absolutely unbelievable! Have you guys ever been to Sweden? Finland? France? Denmark? Beautiful, calm countries, that don't have problems with violence or start wars; have active environmental movements and even unions that work to keep the working man safe from the bullying of the rich. And most of the cops here in Europe don't even wear guns!

True story, we just got back to Florida from a trip in Europe (where we have now moved - France) and the lady who had picked up our mail, and whose family is having serious money problems is now a big Glenn Beck fan. She can't stop talking about him! She just goes on and on about the socialist threat and how dangerous socialism is, etc. etc... just like you poor guys.

Then, she drops a bomb shell! She wants her daughter to move to Finland! Why? Because she can get a cheap education, have good health care and it's safe for women there to walk around any time day or night. Can't say that about the good old USA? And the cost of living in a socialist state like Finland? Higher taxes - but not as high as a NY city resident! I almost just started laughing in her face. But what we did was say, yeah, that's a great idea. Finland is a freakin' great place to live - just like pretty much any country in Europe! It's just the truth folks, come here for yourself and see. Don't take some pro-corporate propagandist's word for it. Spend a few bucks, drink some great wine and see what life is like in Europe. You'll be shocked.

You guys are really so full of Faux News propaganda you can't even think for yourself any more.

The progressive movements of old were not socialist. The progressive movement of today IS socialist.

I think the point that most of you miss is that the left-right paradigm is false, and by arguing about it you perpetuate it.

The same business interests fund both sides of the argument in any major dispute (Prescott Bush during WW2 is an interesting example - [SOURCE]), right the way through to present day donors to major political parties all over the world.

The mentality is simple - buying influence is easy, so why not buy both sides? You can then frame the argument on your terms and effectively pick the one you want to win.

It's like playing chess against yourself, except the pieces are too busy shouting at each other to realise that the same hand is moving both sides. Most of them don't even notice they're on a board.

It's about equality and it's actually something quite pleasant. But of course, the Tea Partiers (Glenn Beck especially) feel the need to tear it down. Why? Because they don't fit the TP bigot ideologies.
