Carl Paladino has won the NY primary. I am simply stunned that a man that puts out emails of people and horses having sex together is where we are going in New York. Just a brief rundown of the types of emails generated from this man follows.

-Ahead of Obama's swearing-in ceremony, Paladino sent around a video entitled "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal." The video shows an African tribesman dancing, and is apparently popular among white supremacists.

- An email with the subject line "Proof the Irish discovered Africa" containing a video of monkeys that appear to be doing a Riverdance-style jig.

-A video of a naked woman sent from a government email account.

- A bestiality video involving a horse and a woman.

As well as a fake motivational poster that is nothing but racist and a picture of the president and first lady mocked up as a pimp and a prostitute.HuffingtonPost

I did not want to include those pictures in this thread. I know the source here is HuffingtonPost.com but I posted this because I live in NY and am seeing this all go down right now. I cannot link to everything and anything so I went with the first source that came up. I could care less if he were a democrat, republican, or any other party but to be sending out emails so boastfully enjoying the use of the N-word as well as beastiailty? Odd, no?

Yes, I've sen this guy's work and hopefully more people will get to know who this guy is and what sort of mind he has. It's difficult to understand why people would accept this coming from any candidate but maybe voters are just voting on key words and slogans that are emotion based. Are there any big names that endorsed him?

I am still looking into this as I just heard it on the local news but I have not come across any big names yet. I just see Tea Party Support everywhere I look for his name and then I see a horse having sex with a woman and emails with the N word in them. I do not understand why any Tea Party folks would back such a person but I am hoping this thread will enlighten me.

Are you sure about that? I have been told time and time again that the Tea Party has no racist elements in it. Each time I have come on ATS and tried to discuss racism amongst the Tea Party folks I come across, I am told I am lying or wrong. I have been told more than enough times that the Tea Party is not racist at all. That is why I am surprised.

Seems alot of them think sex with animals is o.k., and they do tend to hate anyone not muslim......so yup it fits. However, since this guy obvioulsy isn't allowed to have a sense of humor, sick or not, it seems that must be who you are talking about. As far as the tea party being racist.....painting with a rather broad brush aren't we.....the dems have the backing of plenty of racists, as well as racist organizations....hell, there is a racist in the WH, where is the complaint about them?

Here's the difference between real tea party candidates and all other candidates:

-They could be the most racist/sexist/evil people in the world, but it doesn't matter.

Since tea party candidates want to repeal laws, cut regulation, stop spending, stop the welfare/warfare, their policy prescriptions necessarily can't be racist.

For example, lets say I want to implement policy that helps young black mothers by giving them a handout. Such a policy is necessarily racist because it neglects all other races except blacks.

But if I'm trying to repeal the same policy, I would actually be eliminating racist laws.

Evil only matters if a politician is a positivist that thinks he can use other people's money to do good.

This reminds me of a southpark episode where the teacher (a massive racist) was leading the locals to try and get the rich folks out of town

as a coincidence, the rich people moving in to town were also black..(opera, bill cosby, will smith, etc)...now the townsfolk were having legitiment claims of how prices were skyrocketing and they wanted something done.

They went about dressing in KKK costumes (the teacher called them ghost costumes, because rich people hated ghosts), burning crosses on the lawns (the teacher said they were a lowercase T for "time to get out"), etc

point being, the movement may not have been racist...but the actions and the leaders are...the people are just stupid enough to let it fly because they think they are sorting another problem out.

oh, and the final pearl of wisdom on that episode was that the townsfolk sort of came to their senses after the fact...and the teacher responded by saying "well at least we got rid of those damn ni-" episode ended without the completion of the word. amusing episode.

I never said the Tea Party was racist. Please take your lack or reading comprehension and your anti-Muslim agenda to one of the 8 billion anti-Muslim threads already there for your pleasure.

However, there is a legal issue here.
A victim of a crime is allowed compensation by the criminal.
in this case, up until recently, the criminal was the USA and the victim was blacks. First from slavery, then from civil rights issues, segregation, etc.

This is akin to someone beating and raping someone for years, then suddenly coming to their senses and saying, ok..no harm, no foul, stop acting like a victim and go have fun...sorry, things dont work like that..there is no magic wand.

Now, time has past and I would argue that todays black youth have almost the same opportunity as whites -because- of measures specifically designed to give black people a step up from their former status in the US...is it perfect? nope...look at the percent of prisoners, or the low income areas and see what color sticks out in incredibly disproportunate sizes...yep, the black people are still majorly struggling to adapt to society, and its only really been 2 generations since they were allow equality. These things take time and help

I am going to be generous with the Tea Party here.

They have backed several candidates that have serious issues.

I don't think they have done this intentionally, but rather are a victim of their handlers strategy of demonizing informational sources....education (communist)....News Media (Liberal propaganda)...informed discussion (elitist-progressive speak)....emotional buzz words strung together in a rhetorical fashion (GOOD!!!)

The far right and the TPM has been told at every turn not to research or vet candidates, just accept them. Even if a TP member was interested in researching a candidate, the act alone of engaging critical thinking before giving a stamp of approval to a given candidate would smell of heresy...something the "progressive elite" do.

Ignorance is encouraged, do as you are told.

Just my opinion. Doesn't apply to all Tea Party members and I am hopeful this movement will evolve into something else soon, but so far I am not seeing it.

Isn't Chuck Rangel also from New York? Shows the sense of New York voters, doesn't it?

I’m confused. I thought liberals were the avid supporters of people’s freedoms to send porn all around the internet.

Ohhhh wait….that’s only when it’s them that are doing it. If it is one of their philosophical opponents then it becomes something that is sick, discussing, and depraved.

I’m not taking sides, just pointing out another example of hypocrisy from those who would blow a gasket if anyone stood in the way of the sending a “picture of a naked girl” around on the internet. Oh no! Not that! Restrict his free speech immediately!

Edited to add:

By the way, I have seen the Irish dancing monkeys and it's hilarious! I highly recommend looking it up!

I am so sick of "YOU" people claiming that anybody in the tea party is racist.I am a tea party member and i am not a racist.I actually voted bor barry boy but he just sucks. The fact that he is black is the "only" thing i like about him. When will you people,yes..you people wake up to the fact that he is a terriable one term carter like president. The sooner we get rid of this joke and the rest of them in wash. the sooner we can move forward. And i am talking about dems and repubs they are two sides of the same coin.Vote for an independent who will put in term limits for congress and the senate.I think four years is PLENTY..

Rangel is not the topic of the OP.

Interesting that you try the same tactic that Palidono tried in the vid above.

asked about the emails he says...uh..uh.. the Democrats.

the interviewer cuts him off and says, I am not asking about the Democrats, I am asking about the emails YOU sent.

Is there some right wing guide to derailing a duiscussion?
Not answering questions or addressing the issue at hand?
