Manual on How to Molest Children Is Legal, Cops Say

While as disgusting as it is, and the conundrum of freedom of speech vs. moral obligations, I see the potential of something more useful here utilizing the two.

The downloadable manual can be used as a "honey pot" trap. Instead of making it go away, (cause it won't) just sit and nab all the pervs as they flock to it like bugs in the light. Seems like the best answer to that while not stepping on free speech.

If there's one thing in this World which sickens me it's child molestation, child porn and Peadophilia... did i say 1 thing? ok, that's 3 things....

I can't believe someone has actually written a manual on 'how to do it'.... damn... sometimes i really have to read things more than once to actually believe what i am reading and this post is one of them....

Disgusting, but it does come under free speech.

I agree with the poster a few posts up who suggested using this as some sort of 'trap', provided it can be made workable.

I know a pedo who read an article in his daughter's Young Miss magazine. It was advising young pre-teens and teens about pedo behavior. It contained an example.

The pedo was so upset about the article, he had it burned.

Later that night, the pedo copied the behavior EXACTLY of the sampled pedo in the magazine.

He was found guilty and sentenced.

My point is; pedos can get their ideas from sources you might consider legitimate as well.

Yes, I agree, instructions on this horrible crime should be illegal; but, it's not at the moment.

The book will remain legal of course, but I dont really see any bookstore holding it.

As far as laws...laws against predators are pretty severe as it is, people typically ready to molest kids are already not considering consequences anyhow.

I wonder what the true intention of this book is. Things like this are never as they seem.

and ya, soo many liberties for the mass will gladly be thrown away "for the children", so use the gray matter...allow the government to swat a fly today and tomorrow they will broaden the defination of a fly to include you.

If this is legal and protected under the First Amendment, then perhaps someone else should write another manual detailing how to hunt down and kill the animals that would hurt kids.

Oh hell, thats been done over and over again...

but again, I think this may be the intention...to get people up in arms to either kill liberties, or kill some sex offenders..which of course would backfire and reduce the monitering on offenders considering its public access to find your locals.

there is a agenda here, the question is, what part of the tool to the agenda do you wish to play...

This book is 170 pages of information on how to commit a crime; how is another book detailing how to commit another crime any less worthy of 1st Amendment protection?

This is a big catch 22 mess. If you ban this book which does need banning then it will open the flood gates and in a few years the local library will be ran out of some one car truck with only a few government cleared books.
Ban one book could end up banning all books. Maybe that is what some one wants.

I'm sure that piece of # organization the ACLU will come out in support of the manual as well.....

Disgusting! Is this a bad example of freedom of speech? I would say yes! The only justification for it's existence, imo, would be as a trap to pursue those that download or purchase the book. But still, claiming it as legal seems to be an insult to our system of law. I hope the issue draws enough attention to squash it!
Even with freedom of speech, a line has to be drawn at some point and I can think of no better point than this! Banning books is a questionable action and should only occur if there is a majority attitude against a particular work, especially one that serves no purpose other than to harm children, and I think this book qualifies.

You are looking at this wrong, a book like this is a great idea. In fact the book should be delivered free to every adult with proof of age. In fact there should probably be a continuing series of books made available to everyone who wants them and are willing to provide evidence of their age, their address, it could even offer perversions of choice. Think about it, find out who these people are before they molest children. Help the police solve crimes with a list what perverts live in their area and their preferred perversions. If you follow drug users they will lead you to drug dealers, same thing would work here.

Support the rights of the manuals content...You don't have to like something in order to defend its basic tenants...which is of course the right of it being written in the first place.

ACLU defends the rights of things that many find untouchable...its sort of their job...to ensure the preservation of liberties, even when its not popular to do so for any one person, group, mindset, or in this case, book.

Do you want the ACLU to state anything found disagreeable should be banned? I find political attacks disagreeable...should all counter arguments towards government actions banned?

Where have I heard this before.

You ask in your second post, what to do when banning a book is wrong, but allowing it to be circulated is worse.
My answer is, you let the book exist, and you make sure everyone who ever reads it with the intention of utilising the tips in it, winds up very dead.
Alot of people think that killing is wrong, and Im inclined to agree because lets face it these rules are written for the majority. The majority of people dont have fetishes which extend to the depths of depravity and sin. The majority of people do not see the need to molest young people, ruin childhoods, destroy psyches. In fact the majority of people are law abiding , caring, emotionaly developed and aside from any societal issues they may have, they are good.
But every so often, someone is born and grows up to be the living breathing epitome of scum. A little walking peice of hell , messing with lives, and making a world which has its share of problems, even more dangerous. Some go and get treatment, and for those in the know this wont be new information, they carry on regardless of that treatment, thier behaviour evolving from bad to worse, from worse to unimaginable. No consideration for anything but thier own satisfaction.
These people, these pus sacks do NOT deserve the same consideration that you would give your run of the mill person. They arent driven by the same pushes and pull factors that you or I run on. They are ruled by that which they covet, to quote a fictional freak.
There are no fool proof methods of preventing people this broken from doing what they want to do , save for eliminating them. Normaly speaking, I would be the last to suggest governments kill thier citizens more often, but where this sort of thing is concerned I would sign petitions , and tender an application for the contract to do the damned job myself.

The book is there and can not be stopped so lets find a way to use it for good. Police should get a copy and read it. They could learn better ways of catching the pedo. Maybe kids should even read the book (a cleaner kid version) and know better when to run. Lets turn this book into a weapon against the pedos of the world. This book could lead to there downfall.

That is just sick. Some bastard touches my kids, they won't need a body bag. They'll need a microscope to find his parts.

I was so glad I found someone thinking along the same Lines I was. I think it would be very important for all parents to read this.

Most prevention involves understanding the dangers. As a parent it is a good idea to know what the enemy is thinking.

I surprised the cops are not handing it out to each other as well. An easy to use manual to catch em.

As for most of the suggestions ive read. Well I will not trade any liberties for security. It is not the governments job to protect everyone from everything that can go wrong. It is your responsibility as a citizen to take responsibility for your surroundings and insure your families safety. It is not mine to give up rights so you can feel safe and secure.

Example, even when our car broke down I would not allow my son to walk to school by himself. The same for walking home. I know you cant prevent everything but you can lower the odds in your favor.

Are people reacting to the book's title or its content? Would you all be protesting this book so vehemently if it was titled "A Manual on How to Identify Child Molesters and Pedophiles by Learning How They Think and Operate"? Seems to me that it or something similar, with a better title of course, should be mandatory reading for all parents, teachers, and others in a position where they could protect children from this kind of harm.

What better way is there to identify actual and wannabe child molesters and pedophiles, and thereby protect children, than to become aware of their mentality and methods of operation? With that knowledge you could identify the process in its early stages, intervene, and save a child before damage is done!
