What Is Wrong With You America?

Americans, on behalf of the entire world, I really have to ask: What the hell is wrong with you?

Think about it. Have you really never realized how the rest of the world, which you probably consider "backwards", is so utterly against you on almost every single possible thing? You mock and deride the metric system constantly, yet continue to use your useless system of weights and measures even as the rest of the world which long since moved on laughs at you.



And that's really the problem, isn't it? I wouldn't care if it only meant you wallowing in your own excreta, but it doesn't: Have you ever noticed that, in pretty much every other country on Earth, even the most conservative right wing major political parties tend to be to the LEFT of your so-called "Liberal Democrats"? And even then, you struggle against them and stupidly cling to your far-right Republican warmongers.

Have you noticed you've been the only country starting wars of aggression for the past several decades? If not for America's racism and lust for oil, world peace might actually be attainable!



You destroy the planet with your wasteful industry, always feeding your consumerist gluttony; you accelerate global warming and threaten the whole planet even as your idiot leaders and religious puppet masters tell you that the problem doesn't exist. The rest of the world grew out of childish ideas about invisible magicians in the sky a long time ago, yet you're fighting now to legally mandate Creationism!

Have you noticed that, while the rest of the world has moved into secular enlightenment and humanism, America continues to foster religious fanaticism and hatred? We laugh at you for your stupidity, but you're hurting the world as a whole; if not for you, all kinds of vile ideas like homophobia, xenophobia, creationism, and racism could be all but wiped out by now. Instead, you continue to incubate them, and perpetuate them on the world through your cultural (and military) hegemony.

Your prosperity is built of stolen gold and stolen CULTURE from how many peoples you've massacred?? Let's start with the Native Americans. How many of them did you butcher before you even got around to the blacks, and now the Mexicans and gays?

You are a vile skiff, sewn together from the flesh and bone of millions upon MILLIONS that have been slaughtered for the benefit of rich WASP hegemony, floating in a sea of the blood of orphans, of WAR ORPHANS, of Iraqi and Afghani, of Vietnamese, the ones that you gunned down in their beds and the ones that had the courage to fight alike - YOU ARE THE FORCE OF IGNORANCE, OF ANTI-INTELLECTUALISM, OF RACISM AND HATRED AND GREED ITSELF IN THIS WORLD.

Out of everything you said, I think you only achieved in getting one point across to me...

You are right - we don't care about other peoples thoughts.

Especially when it is filled with so much propaganda.

Yet for some odd reason...America is still considered one of the best places in the world to live.

Just imagine if we fixed all of them problems! We would be a Utopia!

Wow. All I can say is that the author of this email clearly didn't take into account that in every single country there are people who do love, have compassion for others, and care about the environment and the world we live in. In every country, there are people who are beautiful and people who take care of themselves and eat healthy. There are people of peace, and faith, as well as scientific intellect in every country. Including America and any other country you want to name.

It's a totally inaccurate generalization to claim otherwise.

There are also people who are fanatically religious; this isn't limited to an American problem, and it isn't limited to one religion.

It does seem that no matter how we vote and try to do otherwise, we end up with people in charge who wage wars. I wish that the author of this email had some useful, insightful suggestions about how to avoid this.

According to this Huffington Post article released this year, NOT ONE US City is even in the top 20 places to live in the World.

Normally I wouldn't give in to what is most likely an amateur trolling attempt, but I feel it needs to be done for sanity's sake.

1.) If you have ever worked on a american car you would find that there are often metric and standard systems all in the same vehicle. In any scientific field you often will find that metric is in use, we just don't use it for every single little thing.

2.) Perpetuating the scrawny is beautiful nonsense has done so much for the world hasn't it? I wonder how many of those females in the left hand picture have an eating or mental disorder thanks to what it takes to maintain those figures that society tells them they should have?

2.) I won't bother going into the fact that Palestine is just as guilty as Isreal of doing screwed up stuff, there are plenty of other threads out there which will point this out.

3.) If you ignore all the amazing food in the US thats your own fault, however it should be noted that Vegetarianism is actually unhealthy when it excludes all forms of meat and meat-derived products.

4.) We have OSHA and a few other government organizations to watch out for wokers, Unions are no longer necessary and just cause more problems than they solve.

5.) All I have to say is racism is still alive and well in some places such as Asia. Caste systems still are used in some nations like India and famous folks like Ghandi were in fact racists.

6.) Greece, Iran and China are shining examples of peace aren't they? Every country has been involved in some war along the lines of history, lets not make like its only the US that goes to war.

7.) Time would like to disagree about pollution and rape of the planet

8.) Never mind that the US has some outstanding medical care and facilities here, or that we have entire hospitals dedicated to children suffering with cancer.

9.) The hilarity here is priceless, most sweatshops in fact are run in places like Mexico or south-east Asia and the rest of the world is just as guilty of using products created with slave labor.

10.) Mcdonalds is a internationally operated brand now, even the utopia of Europe has them!. BMW is not an American Comapny and I'm pretty sure Heineken(sp) is not either. Plenty of consumer goods come from places other than the US.

1.) The arguable heart of the Christian faith is in Vatican City, which last I checked wasn't part of the US.

2.) Obviously the creator of this image has never been to places like Florida or California where there are thriving and open gay scenes. Look no further than some strict Muslim nations (hint: not in the US) to see some serious hate for alternative lifestyle choices.

3.) I could point to several sources showing gun crime as a minor issue, but surely you can look it up on your own.

5.) outdated crap is outdated. we now have a new commander in chief who is continuing many Bush-era policies and practices.


In short this is a bunch of hokey one-off crap, if anybody seriously buys into the idea that the US somehow has a monopoly on problems I dare say there is no hope for them to dislodge their head from their hind quarters. All those issues decried as US-only negatives are global issues that every nation has to deal with.

Man, the generalizations made in this OP! Frankly... I tend to sit on the left side of things presented, and (GASP!) I am an American. Well, only insofar as I was born in this country, an arbitrary delimitation.

All this kind of drek does is perpetuate a "divide and conquer" effort. "Us" and "Them." Yeah, baby.

The world has to come together as a whole, without baseless hatred and disdain, to overcome the lies and divisions saddled on us at this time, and I recommend taking a look at the solution proposed in my book, which I offer on ATS Media for free. Maybe the solution lies there.

To the OP... Why would you want to share that except in a "Look at how uninformed the creator of this propaganda piece is!"?

Generalizations are offensive for most people. It's not a good way to start a conversation. I do think some of those points are correct though. I live in the deep south. I can tell you these points apply to a lot of people down here.

Of course, now a days people call me a liberal commie pinko moonbat freak. I used to get called a moderate a lot. That was during the Bush era though. Now that it seems everyone has swung superhard to the right, things just don't make much sense anymore.

Edit here so I can break down the points:
1. The Metric system: Sorry, the metric system is much easier. My husband is a mechanic as is my father. They both agree with the world on that.
2. Fat vs Healthy: Since I live in the Deep South, I can attest there are a lot fat folks down here. Now, I don't have issues with em really. Don't really care, but one has to admit "fat" vs "healthy" is somewhat skewed in the media these days. As for the women featured in the left side, they look good. They are not scrawny. They look ok. However, obesity has because a problem throughout the developed world. It's not just an American issue.
3. Palestinian rights: Well, that's hard to argue with. The Religious right runs our foreign policy it seems.
4. Healthy Food vs. American Food: I don't disagree. The average American diet is scary. But this is also becoming a problem in other developed countries.
5. Unions/Workers rights: This is a crapshot, there are problems all over the world with this. It's not just an American issue. I do admit anti-union sentiments abound in this country, but the rest of the world is not much better (with the exception of Europe in truth).
6. Tolerance? Lol, no they are just as bad as people here.
7.Peace and Nonviolence? There is plenty of violence all over the world. It's not just an American issue.
8. Environmentalism: Another crapshot, see, while i will admit there are other countries out there who are bad polluters, they at least have some kind of excuse. Poverty, ignorance, etc. There's no excuse here. The U.S. can and should be a world leader with regards to going green.
9. Health Care: I don't disagree, I don't understand why people think the pay-for-healthcare system is somehow more moral than anyone else's system.
10. Fair Trade: This is not true. China loves dumping and aggressive trade practices.
11. Producer-ism vs. Consumerism: I don't think is just an American issue. This is an issue of the developed world. People are wasteful when they have all their needs.
12. Science vs Religion: The middle east is also rather backward in this respect as well.
13. Homophobia: There are many countries which still refuse to allow gay unions/marriages. Not simply an American issue.
14. Gun Control: I support gun rights, but I do think we in America are a wee bit crazy with our guns.
15. Last point: Considering a democrat who is pretty much like a republican is in office right now, I don't think it's accurate.

Being English (or at least european), how about a thank you for saving your asses in World Wars 1 and 2?

You cannot blindly accuse all Americans of creating the military/police state we are currently under.
Many of us have made untold sacrifices TRYING to institute positive change. When Americans protest they get beaten down by thugs in riot gear, what happens to Europeans when they protest? Do YOU get pepper-sprayed, blasted by sound cannon or arrested simply for being in the general area of a protest?
You saw what happened in Canada at the G20 Yes! Canadian police acting like Americans swooping in and rounding up entire groups of peaceful protesters. They even knocked down an old man with an artificial leg and dragged him away.

My friend, the forces that have come to dominate America are very soon going to start bringing down the hammer on you.
This isn't an AMERICAN thing, it's a GLOBALIST thing.
Instead of ridiculing each others nations we need to start collective actions as human beings.

Yes, America is in a HORRIBLE state. Many of the things you say are real but know that what happens here in the US is a warning to people in every nation. The globalists intend to do the very same things to you.
So, keep making fun of us if you like, it's all well-deserved. But prepare yourself for what's coming to your nation, you will see it's not so easy to change things once they have gotten out of hand.

This is so obviously a joke. So there's no fat people outside of America? Do people really believe this stuff? Do you really feel that inadequate and envious of America that you have to resort to making crap up? America's not perfect, of course, but it's a beautiful country. Yeah, we got our share of whackos but so does everyone else. I don't hate the entire population of Germany because of Hitler. I love the culture and the people there. Same goes for everywhere else. Everyone's different but contrary to idiotic popular belief, Americans are quite aware of the rest of the world. I like how the rest of the world loves tolerances and multi-culturalism and then it goes on to mock and deride Christianity and Judaism. I would also like to bring up that the US is the melting pot of the world and racism here is nothing like abroad. See we didn't exterminate everyone that wasn't exactly like us - which is why in Europe you get to live in a country which is almost entirely homogeneous.
