The idea that "everyone that tries to move forward in the UFO subject ask for money" is getting old.

Slippery Jim I think you should leave this thread and let this guy ideas come to fruition. I have read it all and he did not ask for money and I personally think he has cool ideas.

Having the grass root people united with a common goal is great don't you think? Unless you are a disinfo agent that tries to prevent people to unite their minds so they cannot realize how powerful they are when united?

I have had this thread for a few days now and the interest in it is very low, it has been an effort to keep the thread on the first page. I am officially stepping down until certain criteria are met. Mainly, I am stepping down until this thread falls off of the first page. Once the thread is no longer on the first page of the UFO and Aliens forum I may begin to post again.

Please note that Slippery Jim has put forth the announcement to push me from this thread and stated that he can do a better job with this idea. Since my objective with this thread is to see the base be built. I feel obligated to hand over the reigns to someone who can do a better job.

Thank you Slippery Jim for offering to relieve me of this burden. Please explain to anyone who posts why you are asking them to send you money and try to explain the purpose of this thread.

Until the thread is off the first page, I wish you luck.

And CHIC as for the base. I have been crunching numbers on and off for SETI / BOINC for years. We can't hear the ETI's in our own skies let alone 50 light years away. I think there should be firm and conclusive evidence that they are really here before such a vast amount of energy and resources are spent asking them to land at my "pad".

Offer popcorn and Miller Lite, but they probably already have those.

I am not suggesting that we attempt to contact aliens on another world. SETI and others have already tried that. I am proposing that since so many people believe that these aliens are already here, that they attempt to communicate with them. This entire idea is based on the assumption that the aliens are already here.

Already being done in numerous places, as mentioned. There was also a Mayor or something in a US city that built, or proposed to build, a landing pad but I can't remember where or find it...

But, maybe you could hook up with these guys. Looks very similar to your idea...

Thanks for that link. I will need to find more information on that proposed base and see how the construction is going. If this proves to be legit and not some publicity stunt then they will find support from me.

Other bases that attempt to communicate with aliens are either ESP nutjob cults or tourist attractions. I hope that this one is for real.

You did read my u2u's. The "Slippery" dude was just being slippery and extremely rude and extremely sarcastic! That's why the ATS "gods" made the IGNORE button.

Yes I know that too! All I said was that there should be more than an "ass-umption" to base all of the trouble and expense and massive resources that would be needed for an undertaking of this magnitude.

I am not sure that this would be such a massive undertaking. This "base" could start out with a few tents and web cams. I only made suggestions of housing to show what could eventually be accomplished.

I do have one question about your U2U's. They suggest that you are from Australia. If this is the case you should be able to provide more info on the Nullabor Plains area than I can seem to find.

There is a town that is officially closed in the Nullabor Plains called Cook. Cook is in Southern Australia. Cook would be an excellent location for the base as it already has housing and a medical facility that could probably rented. The town has only four residents so there are plenty of empty buildings. The problem with Cook is that it is close to a missile testing range, I found the info but no longer remember the link.

At the first suggestion that you are asking for this money to be sent to you, you go on a hissy fit and state that you are prepared to be "pushed aside."

If you weren't planning on being the major player in this venture why would you offer to be "pushed aside" from a position you then claim never to be in?

I'm offering to run this project with an absolute promise that no monies will head in your direction at all.

Well its far too late for my family. Been there done that. Look, are you suggesting that the negatives do not just conduct their harvesting as they see fit already, and no group anyone could possibly make will stop this. I hope that disclosure but even more the right kind of disclosure and changes, freeing this planet and upgrading humanity, this may stop that kind of thing. I cant imagine they get away with this on a benevolent's planet Federation level or anything.

But, the kind of initiative with positive is completely different, and there are many who are friends and literally family to those on earth, both genetically humans, and also us, our souls. Now, the meditaitons groups and psi skills (steven greer uses meditaitons that incorporate some of the vedas, and also remote viewing techniques), I would include raising consciousness and awareness, these guys are benevolents. The others already just taking what they want.

Furthermore if they're family and depending on the agreements made before incarnating here, you're already having conduct and experiences with them, with or without knowing, at least contact in dreamtime.

This is way past a human communication platform, with limited understanding and terms. They teach us, and nudge us to remember who we are, and raise our frequency and awareness for this planet and to remember that the people here, often those we're having difficulties with are our families who some of us came to nudge and help. Its way beyond simple ideas and they are way over our heads already. Its an honor and a joy to connect and ask how to help, to wake up.

Unfortunately, you lack a historical knowledge of efforts to that end. They tend to fall into three catagories: civilain sponsored data bases of info collected from the general public, science-based orgs, and big-hearted civilians with a bit of money that strive to start something such are you are suggesting. Of course, there are other efforts, too, such as SETI, Bigalow and secret government work that probably has already been there done that.

All in all, all have failed in their way to bring about the conclusion (to us) that we all want. I firmly believe showing that we, the world citizen's want contact is an important aspect. But the most important one is the agenda of the ETs. Nothing much is going to happen until they are ready to decide that we are ready. (And one of their key indicators will be governments that reveal their UFO info for all to see without telling us such things are natural phenomenas, etc., but leaving the question open that they might be ETs.)

UPDATE: A UFO Examiner reader inside the Republic of Kazakhstan explains that Express K is a national newspaper, but only recently added a satire page - which is where this story comes from - kind of like The Onion over here. But I am told their flying saucer crash reports run on the real news side of the paper.


This is so disappointing. I had hoped that this was for real. I can not understand what is so odd about attempting to communicate with aliens if people believe that those aliens are visiting us.

I still believe my idea is valid, scientific and worth the effort to build.

Acording to he threads page the last comment was made by slippery jim. I have him on the ignore list so I do not see his posts. Does the ignore list remove his posts only for me? Do others still see his comments?

I logged out of the forums and checked this thread. I see that the ignore only removes his comments for me and that he is still spouting the same nonsense. I didn't bother to read any other than to scan his last post.I also discovered that his comments are removed from every post in the forums. There is nothing that he can post that I can read. This is an interesting feature here on ATS that I have seen no where else and it is very handy for dealing with trolls. I would prefer having a feature that would block trolls from posting on a thread that you have opened or one that would remove all of the offenders post from your own thread.

I just noticed that the thread has fallen to the third page, since I am actually trying to gain interest in building a base, I am again taking control of this thread. The readers can decide if a certain person is actually interested in building this base or starting an argument.

No one has made much of an effort to adapt my idea to a working proposal. People seem more interested in proving to me that this would not work. There have been posts showing that a base has already been built but the only one to prove true, is the one built as a tourist attraction. There are no welcoming centers for aliens and there are none being built.

What is it that is so difficult for people to understand about my proposal? All I am saying is that someone should attempt to communicate with aliens who are visiting our planet.

If you believe that aliens are visiting our planet it would seem that you would want to speak with them

If you don't believe aliens are visiting then it would seem that you would want to prove the UFO believers wrong.

So what about the idea of an attempt to communicate with an alien species is so offensive to everyone?
