My dad attended a gaming convention in 1995 and he was givne the whole first run set of the cards.

Just this card on its own could be coincidental but when you flip through the whole set you realize this guy must have been in the know.

Since when is oil multicolored? I mean, those cards are pretty freaky, but don't you think that seeing those splatters as oil is a bit far fetched?

I'm sorry, but I look at this just the same way I look at nostradamus.

People wait until a disaster happens, finds something that looks similar to it, and pinpoints it.

Like the whole nostradamus thing, people say he predicted 9/11 but it was so vague and no one said anything until after the fact.

It could be a coincidence, hell maybe it isn't. But as of now I'm not going to panic.

the card is backlash from the oil spill. The man is being hit with food/trash. the image is of the fallguy/scapegoat.

Personally I think he knew he was a fallguy when he got the job. Maybe he really didn't know the answers to all the questions today. Maybe he purposefully turned away when presented with info about the well.

For some reason I can imagine people like him saying get the job done and never looking back.

You would have to see how prophetic the other cards in the same deck are to really appreciate this.

I have a theory on games like this and some others that strike pretty close to home.

Its like they are attempts at using game theory to wargame future outcomes. The game Fortress America would also belong in this camp.
Or like this thread about Ghost Recon...

But what's weird is that the games are created years in advance of something panning out like the Ghost Recon game. I would assume that if the outcome of the game was irrelevant, then it would we put into the public domain for consumption, which would be a great way to pay for the research that went into the game.

So where are they getting the ideas to pack into these games?
