His arrogant hatred for all that Americans value about their country!!!

Really? HATRED for American values? You do realize that he was elected, right? And elected with an overwhelming majority of votes? Please explain, in facts, how he has demonstrated his hatred for all that Americans value?

By killing innocent people outside the law extra judiciously, not repealing the patriot act, not prosecuting torturers/war criminals, and prolonging death & suffering based on lies.. would be a start.

When did being a lying hypocritical sell-out who acts outside the law, while ignoring it, to kill people convicted of nothing mirror American virtues?.. I thought justice was blind and we are a nation of laws not men.. and all that BS the DNC & GOP deposit feces upon?

Dude sounded like an egomaniacal water walker during the campaign about how he was 'Neo", "the one" we have been waiting for to go to DC and 'change' things.. he then quickly folded like the cheap suit he is.. falling in lock-step with his political elitist megalomaniac cronies killing/rights eroding agendas..

The post looks like one of those "paid" WH truth ministers grunting out "official" talking point turds of wisdom.. or Onion material.

Regarding the economy, you should blame globalization and not Obama. The US economy is tanking due to outsourcing. The president has no power to prevent bussinesses move.

The reason corps do outsourcing is because of the tax benefits. The tax benefits come from the congress and the administration. Therefore, Obama is directly responsible for loss of American jobs to overseas.

We ( the USA) recently experienced severe flooding and loss of life in Tennessee. Where was Obama? On vacation? I don't think he is even aware that the people in that state were suffering...

That's an example of why he is so hated.

Check out these pictures:

That's a rant if ever there was one! What did Obama do? Check this out..

The President declared a major disaster exists in the State of Tennessee and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, flooding, straight-line winds, and tornadoes beginning on April 30, 2010, and continuing.

The President's action makes Federal funding available to affected individuals in the counties of Cheatham, Davidson, Hickman and Williamson.

Assistance includes grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

Federal funding also is available to State and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis in the counties of Cheatham, Davidson, Hickman and Williamson for debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct Federal assistance.

Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.

What else did you want him to do? Paddle across in a canoe distributing bread baskets? Geeez!

Never mind. Bash on, regardless. It's your democratic right to do so!

ATS is full of anti-obama threads for the same reason that ATS was full of anti-bush threads. People tend to disagree and/or find fault with any elected leader when half of the voting population went with someone else. Additionally, all presidents are paid professional liars. You'll have political criticism no matter who is in office.

OrionHunterX

I take it one of these is true about yourself:

1. You were paid to make this post.

2. You work for government yourself.

3. You have a vested interest in the promotion of corporate bailouts, government contracts, or other government largess.

Of course, you will most likely deny this. However, I think it is interesting to note that the Canadian government has recently been caught running pro-government propaganda campaigns against internet message boards and political forums.

I do not doubt in the slightest that our own criminal government is engaged in the same kind of treasonous criminal behavior.

If you were paid to make this post, you should admit it and feel shame for undermining the country you live in.

I'm not even going to read ahead, I'm just going to respond to your question asked.
My answer is, because that's who's currently in charge and holds the office of president, and his actions are speaking louder than his words ever did.
It doesnt matter the name of the office holder, or the color, or the sex or whatever lame excuse people try to throw into the gears, it's the actions, of ANY of them.
The corporate mouthpieces bought and sold for who they are, reveal themselves and their loyalties and make no mistake it's NOT to the populations.
Obama is a C list actor, Bush got a B, Clinton was a B+.
That and maybe because soap foam has more real substance.

Yeah! ATS is chock-a-block with hate Obama threads. He’s black…He’s half Muslim...He’s an African American born in Hawaii…His middle name is Hussein…His father is a Kenyan….So what? Americans seem to be desperately in need of a punching bag to vent their feelings and it’s poor old Obama! If there’s an oil spill in Alaska, blame it on Obama. If there’s a hurricane in Florida blame Obama. If someone’s got constipation in New Orleans, blame Obama. What the heck’s going on? There are a gazillion Obama bashing threads not only across the web but on ATS as well. And it’s getting tiring! Is it a neo-con conspiracy?

Of course he has his shortcomings. Who doesn’t? But how about his major achievements? Why doesn’t anybody talk of these?

He has helped pass major measures designed to combat the international trafficking of nuclear weapons, promote the use of alternative fuels, and open up the budget process to greater public scrutiny. Throughout these efforts, he's brought Democrats and Republicans together.

And don’t forget….

- Health: Comprehensive Health care reform passed.

- Arms Reduction: Nuclear treaties, including START treaty with Russia.

- Funding: For deep space travel by NASA.

- Financial Aid: For students attending college. A $2,500 tax credit to help offset the cost of tuition (among other expenses) for those seeking a college education. Nearly five million families are expected to save $9 billion, according to Treasury officials.

- Communications: A presidential campaign built on innovative messaging and advanced technology.

- Transportation: Since the passage of the economic stimulus package in mid-February, the Department of Transportation has approved 2,500 highway projects.

- Industrial Recovery: The automobile industry at the White House and Congress's behest has undergone seismic structural changes, and managerial reorganization. He has put in place the framework for an industry recovery. Perhaps the most significant of steps was to allocate $2 billion in stimulus cash for advanced batteries systems, called "the next big frontier" in the automotive world, adding that if the U.S. could dominate this market it would reclaim its perch as the world's premier car manufacturer.

- Infrastructure: More than any prior president, Obama has put a spotlight on America's struggling cities, even creating an office of Urban Policy in the White House.

- Building Bridges: Obama's engagement with the Muslim world has been remarkable but under-appreciated.

- Environmental Conservation: Since taking office, the White House has put under federal protection more than two million acres of wilderness, thousands of miles of river and a host of national trails and parks. The conservation effort - the largest in the last 15 years - came with the stroke of a pen when Obama signed the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009.

There’s more but this will suffice for now. I don’t hold a brief for Obama, but give the devil his due! He’s still got a long way to go in office. He doesn’t possess a magic wand to solve all of America’s problems in one fell swoop. So shouldn’t you guys cool it some and give him time instead of bashing him day and night?

If you were the president, would you have done better? Or would you have done different things or done them differently? Give the man a break. Even if his middle name is Hussein! Or even if he’s black! Or even if he’s from Kenya. So what?

I'll answer these for you but first let me say that it has nothing to do with his race. It has everything to do with the policies he would like to implement into our country. I will also state that I did not like Bush and I refuse to put my chips in with the two Corporate Parties, the Democrats and the Republicans. I'd like to dis-spell the "achievements" that you listed as well.

1. - Stimulus Package: Passed in the first year of presidency to help with economic recovery.

With all due respect, this has not helped the general American worker alleviate the economic issues that we face due to the nefarious and criminal acts of the banksters. Yet, the tax payer will be the ones who bear the brunt of the financial responsibility while the rest of the people on Wall Street reel in record profits. May I remind you that Obama received almost a million dollars in campaign (buy off) money from Goldman Sachs and most of what he has implemented has gone to benefit those that are involved in Goldman Sachs. It has to do with the inegalitarian distribution of wealth upward, to the bankers and transnational corporations. This is precisely what Obama’s borrow and spend bill is all about — extending the reach of the national debt owed to the bankers into the distant future. It has nothing to do with welfare or socialism as far too many Republicans claim. It might take us 4 generations to pay this off and it will definitely make more wage slaves out of us than anything else. Let's not forget here that the Private Sector is shrinking at a rate that has not been seen since the Great Depression and that means that less tax dollars are coming in to cover this borrow and spend scheme. Frankly, if he had passed a Balanced Budget Amendment, then we'd be talking but frankly, he's pouring kerosene on a fire and then feeding fanning oxygen over it. Unemployment is rising and frankly, again, all the Administration is doing is punishing the tax payer and not the various nefarious entities at Wall Street who started this in the first place.

- Health: Comprehensive Health care reform passed.

This passed but it is hardly what I would call comprehensive. Here are all of the things that I can find wrong with the bill.

1. A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process.
2. Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans. Not yours, not the option of your own money away, but your taxes will go to those like the SEIU and AFL-CIO with you losing out. Lame. That is hardly what I would call equality.
3. Any NON-RESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes (Americans will pay for them).
4. Bill will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors and the poor most affected

to be continued

Obama makes a good scapegoat for people who can't find one. They will blame him for a flat tire. When I voted for him I knew he would not be the first president to go against his own campaign promises.

Healthcare continued,

5. Government has authority to disqualify Medicare Advantage Plans, HMOs, etc.
6. Government will restrict enrollment of SPECIAL NEEDS individuals

These are big ones because the rhetoric from the Administration was saying that the new Health Care bill would not deny you coverage for anything and that's simply not true. This will also allow for your premiums to go up, not to mention that the CBO is already stating that the cost will be much more expensive than previously thought. This legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated.

If you decide not to have healthcare insurance or if you have private insurance that is not deemed “acceptable” to the “Health Choices Administrator” appointed by Obama there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a “tax” instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the “due process of law.

I thought Obama was a "constitutional scholar"?! Yikes and double Yikes.

- Communications: A presidential campaign built on innovative messaging and advanced technology.

Regarding Financial Aid:This is a ruse that is used by the CBO and GAO time and time again. It will save some families 9 Billion but the tax payer still picks up the tab at the end of the day so it saves some families some money while causing other families to pay out the nose. Also, many Universities are funded by the states and state property taxes so I hardly understand why you think the Federal Government is actually saving the American public money here. Do you think this cash just falls from a money tree that grows out in Illinois or something?

As far as communications go, you have got to be kidding me, right? We're talking about a guy who had little idea of what an iPad was and now we're giving him credit for advanced technologies that have already been implemented in Europe some 6 years ago? Are you speaking of fiber optic plans for wired communities or what? AT&T and Google have had more to do with that than the last two Presidencies. Innovative messaging? You mean the fact that there still isn't a search function on the White House page because it's quite obvious no one in the Administration wants to be called out on the constantly changing messages and their ridiculous notion of "transparency"? Are you kidding me? Not to mention that Obama would like to embrace more of the draconian measures against the Internet that England and the EU are trying to currently pass. You know what's great about the Internet? It proved that de-regulation and free, unfettered markets actually work when you don't have government interests involved. Sheesh, that's just funny that you think the Obama administration is actually progressive in this area.

- Transportation: Since the passage of the economic stimulus package in mid-February, the Department of Transportation has approved 2,500 highway projects.

Most State Transportation Budgets have only hit 50% of the funds allotted and since taxable revenues are disappearing, they are holding on to the rest of the funds for a "rainy day" which means that money will not be used to save State construction jobs, which most are privately contracted out anyway. When revenue disappears, it doesn't matter, the bottom is going to fall out eventually.

Did you know that these batteries contain some of the most toxic elements known to man and that they can't be sure what happens with the batteries when you are in a car wreck? This is the new big rip off and the utter ecological destruction of America because no one knows what the long term effects of these batteries are. It also remains to be seen as to whether the Automotive move will be successful. Ford has been kicking GM's ass since they've refused Bail Out funds so, I'm not seeing this one either.

Also, on the Industrial front, if Obama were to actually give a # about the workers and fight NAFTA and GATT, like he said on the campaign trail, I'd be happy to give him that one. As of yet, we still use slave labor and we still have most of our manufacturing overseas, which has lead to a great outsourcing. Even the Department of Defense has contracted our military gear manufacturing out to China, which I don't think is the smartest of ideas. I know that happened long before Obama, but he do quite well to turn this one around, yet he won't. He seems to be business as usual in regards to manufacturing.

I'm not giving a BP stooge an Environmental Award either. Any Environmentalist worth their salt will tell you that Cap and Trade is a scam and it will destroy poor people. It would seem to me that the ideas thrown about VAT and Cape and Trade means that Obama could give a # less about poor people, especially since he's yucking it up with Beyonce it seems like every weekend and serving 100$ a piece Kobe steaks and 17,000 dollar orders of caviar. Give me a break. That dude doesn't give a # about anyone but his "legacy" which is just retarded. He's George W. Bush with a tan and he's also proving with his use of Drones that war crimes aren't just for white presidents anymore.

Let's not forget that the dude is still determined to keep us in Afghanistan, doesn't give two #s about legalizing marijuana, wants to readdress (if not just throw out) Miranda, is okay with assassinations of American citizens as long as they are engaged in terror, which hello!, due process anyone? Blackwater has doubled in size and use since he's come to office and I could go on and on.

The reason why people talk smack on him around here is because as a President, he's behaving like a douche. To the American public and the rest of the world.

It isn't full of hate Obama threads, it's full of critical pinions.

People are allowed to have a critical opinion of any government when they see that government behaving badly or being outright poor leaders.

The fact is, Obama has failed to deliver in almost every respect. This has caused a massive slide away from government and a deep distrust in the entire democratic process.

Note to any potential leaders: If you ride on a wave of hope and change, don't then back-track on everything until your public no longer trusts a word any politician says. It'll mean protests, the potential rise of a third party, the destruction of the rigged process and a reversal of the damage that successive leaders have done over the last forty years.

Enjoy the ride!

I don't think that people hate him, rather his policies and failure to be a leader. It is a sad state of affairs, when all those who support him, attack and villify those tho do not like his policies, to include throwing the racist card out, or screaming that a peaceful demonstration is violent, when the majority of those present are elderly, mothers and just people who are down on their luck, wanting change for the better. People have awoken and seeing where the outright blatent lies by the Obama Adminstration. Unlike most of the federal government, we really do go read, have opinions and are tired of being told to sit down, shut up, we know what is good for you. When the President, his staff and those who support him, do not take the time to read the laws they are either passing or choosing to speak ill of, is that good government? The stimulus package is a complete bust, as there are no jobs. The accounting and numbers are cooked, and if you were to use the same accounting practices they use to state such, you would be in jail. The Healthcare bill, as nobel as it sounds, is a complete waste of time, a majority of the law makers did not read the bill, and those that did, went over it with a fine tooth comb, and voted against it. When political party favortism outweighs the good of the country, it is a bad adminstration. And when the President of the United States of America, goes around the world, to apologize to the world, ignoring and insulting our allies and just giving those countries who do not like this country ammunition to use against the US, well lets just say there is something wrong. All we are stating is that we are on the decline. Oh yeah he promised to do funding for deep space exploration, but ignores the steps to get there, and the means to survive once we are there. Could I have done better than the current president, in a word: YES. My policies may have been unpopular, and many would have gasped at what I did, but in the end the job would have been done, we would have been out of the world stage and the country on the road to recovery with real change that affects the population.

Why is he hated so much?

Put simply..because the GOP and conservative media want people to hate him and as long as there are a sufficient number of idiots in this world, that will be the case. They will gobble any BS they are fed and care not for facts, because complicated issues make their head hurt.

Is President Obama a GREAT President? Not really IMO, but a whole lot better than our last President and he's got some time left to step-up.

I am just amazed that conservatives haven't ceased their frothing at the mouth ideological siezure since he was elected a year and half-ago.

Any intelligent political discussion quickly de-evolves into "he's a secret Muslim, NWO puppet, American hatin', black agendist, Marxist, communist, socialist yada yada...and any other "big words" or dumb quips they heard Rush or Glen say....It's like conservatives were "struck dumb" by his election and have yet to recover.

Strange and a little frightening...

I genuinely look forward to the day when folks can have an intelligent and informed political discussion...and I am starting to believe it's never going to happen again on ATS.
