Impact the earth? Sure, there's always a risk that some NEO out there will literally impact the earth in a collision. Affect the earth's gravity? No, that's something reserved for bad sci-fi movies.

Gravity is an interesting force in that it is weak. The only reason it appears to be so strong is that it is additive. Put a lot of matter in one place and the effects add up. The electromagnetic force is stronger, but plus and minus charges balance out and overall we see little force. Gravity adds up and doesn't cancel out. Just as the earth attracts you, you also attract the earth. When an asteroid hits the Earth it does affect gravity by making the Earth more massive and slightly increases the gravitation pull of the Earth.

An interesting fact is that if you curl up into a ball, you'll exert more gravitational force on your PC than does the planet Jupiter. You may be much smaller than Jupiter, but you are much closer.

We see the international space station people floating around weightless. Did you know that they actually feel about 90% of the gravity we feel at the Earth's surface. What is happening is that they are "falling" with the ISS and so experience what we call weightlessness. If you are in one of the diving planes where you become weightless, the plane and you fall at the same speed. Gravity is still at work. That's why you fall.

I think a funny gravity hoax that was pulled off about a decade ago had to do with the planetary alignment in 2000. A TV station in the UK told its audience that the planetary alignment would cancel out gravity for a short period of time. People believed them. Some called in to the station after the hoax event was supposed to have happened and reported that they had indeed gone weightless and been injured by flying furniture.

Big apologies I got the hoax story at the end a bit wrong.

True, technically even meteors that burn up cause the earth to gain mass, but the amount is so tiny that it's immeasurable by any means we have at our disposal. Even a large asteroid impact would have negligble effect on our gravity. My thought was that she was suggesting that asteroids might be affecting our gravity in a noticeable fashion, perhaps without even impacting us as if those were two separate possibilities.

I definitely understood your post. I was trying to cover bases so that your post would not be misinterpreted. I appreciate your knowledgeable input on these threads. Like you say it adds to the gravity of the Earth but it can't be detected.

What does a volcano have to do with Nibiru? Volcanoes erupt all of the time. Pacaya in Guatemala is a spectacular and dangerous volcano. It kills people because they live on its slopes. When it is relatively quiet tourists walk to the summit to watch its activities.


So far 12 volcanoes have erupted in 2010.

It is for all information related to 2012 including nibiru. Dont nitpick and please lighten up.

So what does Katla have to do with 2012? Volcanoes go off all of the time. Look at all of the new eruptions this year and this is a typical year. The earth is a dynamic place. You should go to a place like the Columbia Ice Fields in Canada and close your eyes and listen. You can't believe all of the ice falls you hear. I claim that what differs a mountain from a hill is that a mountain "talks" to you. You hear rocks and ice fall. Those are the sounds of active changes.

So if Katla erupts what makes that any different from all of the other places in the world where volcanoes erupt?

How is that any sort of evidence? With the amount of light in the sky it is quite normal for just bright planets and stars to show, and nothing else.

No co-ordinates, no direction, no times , no locations. So what evidence is this please?
