Yea it sure melted quick, been watching the Katla cam myself and seen some strange smoke coming from the area in question. I will have my eyes glued
on the screen now for a few hours, would love to see a live eruption of Katla, as long as everyone is safe.
I dont know if anyone else noticed that camera for "Katla" shows eyjafjallajokull south from Hafelli, so I dont believe that is Katla its looking
at. Although I could be wrong...
Looking at the Þórólfsfelli cam Here you can clearly see the flood water
starting to rise, pretty dam quick too. Also been looking at a large chunk of glacier than has a crack the whole way around it, will post screen
shots of anything of interest.
I noticed the water rising also. A lot of melt-off right now and you can see the whole side of the mountain shifting down.
In regards to the 'Katla' camera...Putmerman was kind enough to point out in another thread that he believes the Katla cam is actually turned right
now to look at the 'other' volcano. It makes it all very confusing so I just don't know anymore....so if nothing else, most likely we are right.
It is HOT on top of the errupting volcano.
Check out the tremor plot. It still continues to rise, so it's probably safe to say that
things are very far from over.
My thoughts exactly (although its back down to 1400 now... < speculation >guess they dont want to scare people with it continuing to go up <
/speculation >
