You are quoting from the NLT - that explains all I need to know.

You should spend a few minutes on THIS site - and you can read just what all MAN has changed/altered/removed from the original Bible - and renamed it "The New Living Translation".

Satan is good at deceiving people - remember that, please.

Feel free to post the "correct translation" of any one of those passages for me. I am not going to follow some religious propagandist to a website they suggest. If you have a valid translation, feel free to show it. Funny how you did not actually deny any of what I said. It sucks when parts of your magic book contradict other parts don't it?

The website is an awesome site of side by side comparisons -to show just how mankind has changed/altered the original King James Bible.

Meaning - the modern day "versions" that are on the market today are not genuine, and have been "doctored" to say what the author wants them to say. I.e. The Gay/Lesbian "bible".

There is no where in the Authorized King James Bible that condones rape, incest or any other sin.

If you choose to not visit the site, that's your choice - but don't say no one would give you any answers - because I tried.

Again, you are posting quotes from the NLT - a bogus rewritten "version" of the original Bible.

There are so many changes and omissions, I would chalk the entire book up as "false" and trash it.

They are probably nicer than half the people at your church(atleast they dont judge people like christians). Second, People are born gay they just don’t chose. If they chose to be gay, there wouldn’t be people being afraid to come out off the closet. On a side not did anyone hear about James Randi being gay! Never expected that. It makes me wonder if that is the reason he had such ignorance towards Christians. Talk about irony

[edit on 23-3-2010 by Maddogkull]

Have you never stopped to think that pedophiles also claim there is nothing wrong with what they do?

A person can "say" all day long how homosexuality isn't a sin - but at the end of the day, it's still a sin.

If just "saying" something would make it true, I'd say I was a "millionaire".

Wow, when I saw the video I was quite taken back. It was powerful and I had an uneasy feeling watching it because I was wondering where the "normal" chubby kid with all the expensive skater clothes ma bought playing Halo was.

My first reaction was that the kids kind of scared me. I searched deep within myself and saw that I was fearful of their determination and unquestionable belief in Jesus Christ and that they are being taught what they deem as the truth and relaying it, with minimal fear, to perfect strangers.

Then I realized I had nothing to fear. I saw the beauty in it all.

As a matter of fact, it's almost mind blowing. The possibilites for a decent God fearing society are endless with this kind of early indoctrination.

These Christian children are indeed special and far different than the Muslim children shown in the videos here preaching death to other humans in this life, concerned only that they are going to Paradise, not caring if the Jew does. These young Christian children are preaching life to other humans regardless of who they are, so once that person dies they can go to the Light of Jesus Christ. To get to that light, there are RULES that have to be followed. Just as schools have rules or states have rules or households have rules. There are also rules to live by if one wants to go to the Light of Jesus Christ after they die. It will be too late if you don't accept Christ into your life after you die and you will go to a place called hell, that bears also a light upon enterance, but hell is not a good place, it is clear, full of suffering worse than one can experience on earth. It's hard for many to believe because it sounds so primitive, so basic, but the truth is always basic. People preach the bible because it expresses ORDER and a way to get to the light of Jesus Christ, in a world of chaos and sin. No harm, no foul. It's up to the person to believe it or not.

As a side note, I just wanted to create a list of what an average child does/encounters who is not fully indoctrinated into Christianity with God fearing Bible thumping parents:

Back talk parents...recieves no discipline for it. Rods are spared.
Plays violent video games.
Spends hours on the computer, who knows what websites they visit.
Spends even more hours watching filth on television.
Engage in gang activity.
Engage in sexual activity.
Reads history books in public schools which have been tampered with/revised and continue to be tampered with/revised.
Reads books on sexuality condoning homosexual behavior and condom usage/gels.
Undergoes abortions
Does drugs, drinks, smokes
Is fat, chubby, a softy, and eats junk food and soda a good part of the day.
Is part of some superficial clique based on clothes/money or depressed because not accepted into group.
On Ritalin or some other ADD ADHD type of drug.
Whines about what they want their parents to buy them. Frets about what their parents won't get them. Takes advantage of what their parents do get them.
Has no self discipline.
Unfocused, even on prescribed drugs.
Doesn't believe in a higher power/God, it's all about them and their materialistic world.

Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

The correct scripture reads:
Deuteronomy 17:12 (King James Version) 12And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
This is speaking of God's punishment/judgement.

Kill Witches
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)
Exodus 22:17 (King James Version) 17If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
When man rewrites God's Word, he tends to mess up even the order of it? The KJ Bible's Exodus doesn't mention witches.

Kill Homosexuals
"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

King James Bible: The correct scriptures read:
13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Again, this is speaking of God's judgement/punishment.

Kill Fortunetellers
A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

King James Bible: The correct scriptures read:
Leviticus 20:27 (King James Version) 27A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
If God commands it, it isn't considered murder - just like if He says "put to death", sometimes it is speaking of HIS judgement and punishment - not what earthly mankind is required to do.

And the rest of your list is pretty much the same instance - "put to death" doesn't necessarily mean for another human to bring punishment upon the person - it could be God or His angels.

Also, due to it not letting me type any more characters, I had to delete some from the bottom of your list - but most of them fall in the same instance as the "put to death" that I've just explained.

.
.
.

Death for Hitting Dad
Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

Death for Cursing Parents
1) If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)

2) All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

It is fitting though that these are children saying this and that they are preaching a very poorly thought out "theory" (if indeed an imaginary friend can be construed as a theory and not just rubbish).

Most of what you have posted/quoted is examples of God's judgement on mankind for different sins - and my answer still stands ......

..... those are God's judgement and punishment - not "murder".

*Your* opinion might say they're "stupid" - mine doesn't.

Homosexuality is discussed in Leviticus - OT
as well as in Romans - NT.

Where did you run off to, this was just starting to get really fun.

Abortion: Hosea 9:11-16 Hosea prays for God’s intervention. “Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. Give them, 0 Lord: what wilt thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. . .Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.”

Clearly Hosea desires that the people of Ephraim can no longer have children. God of course obeys by making all their unborn children miscarry. Is not terminating a pregnancy unnaturally “abortion”?

Eh, no, that isn't talking about "abortion".

Do you just surf through the pages of the Bible to try to find the parts you don't like?

I have never been so disgusted and shocked when i came across these kids, they've actually been taught that they can heal people.

This is totally repugnant and creepy as kiddy porn.

Your title is Baby Bible Bashers Christian Child abuse.

I am sorry I cannot view the video. But I will call you on this thread anyway.
Can you show where the children bash the bible?
Can you prove CHILD ABUSE?
Have you reported it?
Prove or demonstrate how you exactly know it is more repugnant than kiddy porn.
Should we be reporting you because it seems you know all about it.
I think ATS would be proper to investigate that type individual and have them removed from the boards.

BTW I see kids in suits not diapers-these are not even babies.

The punishment for homosexuality is death - as is all other sins. Death. That is by God when the person is judged - if that person has not received Jesus Christ as their Savior, as well as repented - which means turns from their sin(s).

I already explained/translated more than "one" in my other post - but to, again, sum them up - your "list" is mostly things that God Himself will dole out the punishment aka "death" on Judgement Day.

I went over this already. Your webpage is nonsense.

# Deuteronomy - "sodomite" changed to "temple prostitute" # 1 Kings 14:24 - "sodomites" replaced with "shrine prostitutes" # 1 Kings 15:12 - "sodomites" replaced with "shrine prostitutes" # 1 Kings 22:46 - "sodomites" replaced with "shrine prostitutes" # 2 Kings 23:7 - "sodomites" replaced with "shrine prostitutes"

Do you really want to teach me something or just promote ignorant faith in nothing?

Excellent analysis - and well written. Frankly, I find the homosexual
doctrine being introduced into our pre and grammar schools to be
a true offense - not children doing their version of "preaching" God's
Word.

The Bible says it best: Isaiah 11

6The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Thanks a bunch. I actually genuinely appreciate it.

I just wanted to grab the first one before I went for a smoke here.

I do not see the difference. "even that man shall die." Well since all men die, that obviously is speaking more specifically. Care to explain it if it means something so different?

The NLT is so very mixed up - no wonder you are thinking bad things about God.

What the Scriptures actually refer to is NOT God saying He is going to "miscarry" any baby - this is Hosea stating that he "wants" God to do all of these things to them - because of their sins.

See how reading a twisted version of the real Bible can mess up the meaning?

This is what the King James Bible (The Original Bible) actually says:

Source
And no where in this chapter does it say that God obliged.

Hosea 9

1Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
2The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
3They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
4They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
5What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD? 6For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
7The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
8The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
9They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
10I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
11As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
12Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
13Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
14Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
15All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
16Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
17My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
