Neither are legitimate until we pay what we owe. Once we have a surplus again, then we can start talking about health care reform.

There won't ever be a surplus if we continue to keep our heads in the sand. This current healthcare system contributed to 60% of this nations bankruptcies last year alone:
www.reuters.com...
The number of uninsured is going up. We have people missing the doctors because of costs, because of silly pre-existing conditions that they are not covered, and it wounds up costing the nation when they end up at the ER.
We had an opportunity during the 90's when the economy was on the up again and guess who stopped any further effort to fix the system then? Gingrich lead by his mob on the rightwing and calls of 'socialimisms'. We have waited long enough so either come up with solutions or stop the excuses.

Both parties share the blame for our massive deficit.
Bush and his cronies for spending untold trillions in Iraq/Afghanistan, and Obama for keeping us there,
as well as not being able to spend money fast enough on his various programs.
I for one hope we have a candidate step up who will get the country's financed in order again.

Yes, as demanded explicitly by Hillary.
Apathy.
What are you all so afraid of?
We are supposed to fear Obama, Jones, Emmanuel, and Cass Sunstein. We are expected to be so overcome by fear that we cannot function to resist. We are supposed to fear punishment.
Gwydionblack, you're not the first to post this. "The Globalist" beat you to it in 2001. You're merely assigning a time frame to what "The Globalist" already predicts.
Example
[quote="The Globalist"]
Consider the President of the United States. Even though he regularly breaks every known check on his power, no one can stop him. He goes ahead and does whatever we want him to do anyway. The Congress has no power to stop him.
He does what we want since he knows if he does not, because of his rather dark character, we can have him removed in a moment's time. Is not that a rather brilliant strategy on our part? You cannot take us to court because you can't see us and the courts are our servants as well.

The Tea Party marchers on Washington represent the average Americans. You can choose to believe the mass media that they are all "racist republicans" or you can believe the truth that they are average Americans fighting for a better tomorrow. Regardless the truth stands- we are on the edge of revolution. I guarantee it. Do not consider this a prophecy, do not consider it an inkling, consider this cold, hard, fact.
There will be revolution in this country within the next two years. The passing of Health Care today will be the first catalyst in that situation. The voices of the people have been ignored and spat upon - it is soon time we throw their weapons back to them.

those who are opposing health care reform are simple minded folk with no clue as to how badly they are already enslaved to the insurance companies.
this legislature is designed to break the control of insurance companies. the sad part is their bill had to be so badly watered down in order to pacify the corrupt members of congress which have been bought off by the insurance companies.
