Strange Happenings in Louisiana

Don't know if this story is true or not. But actually, I met this ''Tall Guy with Hat'' in my home country Czech republic. Don't know how are you familiar with Europe, it's Middle European country bordering with Germany and Austria.
It was in deep woods when we were out on tour with couple of friends about few kilometers from complex where kids are going with schools on week trips.
We were had some fun, making ''Battle quest'' (don't know how to translate in English, it's an adventure game druing the night and out of the city, when you are on a quest to get from point A to point B, sometimes making somee quests during your journey).
It was around 3 AM, helluva dark in forest, but we illuminated the forest road with candles, each one some 50 meters from each other in case we will lost the track. I have a big interest in paranormals, hanging with lot of ''proffesionals'' if you can call them like that, so we are not practicing any foolish things like with Ouija boards and calling forth the spirits, since the main job of these guys is cleaning places which were messed up by foolish activity of some individuals and teenagers. Something like ghost busters per say.
So to the point. I walked down the path alone and in the middle of the quest where nobody was residing (nearest village was 4 km's far) I stopped and got paralyzed. I had mobile phone, using it as light to not fall from cliff or to some hole. As I was satying at the same place for some seconds, I spotted a tall person, really tall about 3 meters before me. It was going towards me, it wasn't walking but hoovering with no feet visible. It had a long coat and triangle hat, like those from 17th century. Then it stopped two meters from my left and was looking on me. It was the most bizzare thing I ever saw. It didn't had visible lower half of the face, which was hidden behind black scarf. It's skin was grey like if it was decaying corpse with black eyes. I thought it was a vampire exactly. I wasn't able to move, only we were staring on each for I don't know how long, because I wasn't aware of time flow nor I felt any fear or anything else. Then it hoovered behind me on the road and after paralysis fell down, I turned back and it wasn't there anymore. Later after few meters on the road, I encountered one of the girls from our group. She was laying on the ground, sobbing and telling me that she wasn't able to move, that she was fine, but some time before I came, she fell uneasines all of a sudden and fell down on the road.
Two of my friends and other people who were in the forest confirmed, that there was strange person and that some of them heard weird squeeks and noizes or saw something moving fast from on side of the road to another in the woods. They thought at first that it was wild swine or some of us making fun of those who were on the quest with us. It was really strange. I didn't found any stories about this place at all, except that it was one of the sites of Dead walks at the end of the second world war, where the remaining German soldiers were escorting prisoners and Jews from dead camps where lot of them died in the process. But that doesn't explain old clothes of that figure I saw.

I always tought that lot of creatures is only in US, but I see, that we have a man with the hat probably in share

Very chilling events - I can relate to not being able to move when encountering a spirit (it happened to me and the spirit was not evil, it was my deceased Uncle returning to give me a messag).. When he left I was once again able to move. If anything else happens please let us know.[

That is SERIOUSLY creepy, man. I've been having dreams that something's been watching me lately, but nothing even close to that...

My suggestion is to look into the history of the building, I imagine you'd probably find something there...

Really strange.. I've sworn I've read this exact story on ATS before... I used to just come on here and read ghost stories/ watch videos cause it always had my interest.. Can't say I read everybody's replies.. but am 100% sure I have read this on this website, just a while back... in fact not too long ago I tried to find it again having no luck.

Strange as I was driving to the store the other day and stopped at a stop sign. I tall man with a black hat and long black coat walked up the drive way of this huge brick house and got up in the corner of the building. I looked the other way for a second to see if any cars were coming and when I turned back he was poof - gone. I ask my boyfriend if he saw him and he said yes - I said where did he go and he said I don't know he just disappeared. Not sure if this relates or not but there was something strange about the way this man walked and the way he was acting.

The tall-man is a phenomena that has been supposedly going on for years. Reports from across the globe in many different cultures, etc. But at the same time there is a lot of evidence pointing toward it being false. Creepypasta / Somethingawful have all had posts related to it. It's either somewhat true (Tall, thin, dark clothes, long-coat, etc. might have something to do with death) or is just some good pasta. BUT WHO WAS PHONE?

interesting story... and creepy but i would suggest you and your friends stay away from that if it really didn't look human at all...

That kind of sounds like a doppelganger, a ghost or counterpart to a living person, or an evil twin kind of thing.
the banging on the floor of the folks above you and their chair being turned over almost sounds like poltergiest activity - and I say almost here.

Have you done any research into the history of the building? Supposedly, Pleasant Hall at LSU is reported to be haunted. It was a former women's hall and there have been murders and suicides through the years.
But as far as your apartment building goes, I would definitely look into its history and a little about the immediate area surrounding you. Couldn't hurt.
In paranormal cases, there are alot of factors that can trigger activity. People, objects, places, etc.

It's a shuttle. We have them. It's like a really long golf cart and they make trips all around campus.

Ok look I'm from Louisiana, I've just became a medium, into the lower astrial realm. Dude look, there's a lot more to worry about than one "demon" or hat man or subtle body, standing outside. It's nighttime bro, and I don't know about other states, but shadow people they out in the day, but at night, man they #ing everywhere and plentiful in number, and size. I got like 6 I'm my house right now , three are allways across the street in my neighbors yard. Some got yellow eyes, some got red eyes. Im not a practicing witch, I am a newly found medium, who has a natural ability with the craft. Two weeks of "study" , I know more than all my wiccian friends, cuz they don't really do witchcraft, they do well nothing really, plant trees and call themselves "white" witches, no such thing as white witch. Because the craft is dark. If dudes in your dormitory were killing cats for witchcraft, then hopefully the hat man showed up to beat the supernatural #e out of them for not only hurting awesome creatures, but for prob killing off a familiar. One being with a hat, don't worry. I got stabbed by a 10. Ft tall sword wielding one, their swords are supernatural dude it won't kill you, if your aura is how I think it is, then when u do see shadow people you will know fear. I've been there felt it, now I walk thru the lower realm of fear, with my heart and soul at piece. Sometimes annoyed, but def not pissing my pants like I imagine you are. Of course my aura is well there is a color that is actually "darker" than black, but at the same time lighter than white. Most people misread this gray aura as someone who is sick, or lost,

O okay cuz my x fiancé was actually a gifted white bitch, all she did was keep my lower vibration friend away. She did it, her own I guess light. But she didn't change my aura because even though she was white and could cast and deflect all dark by thought, she was and is a horrible person, and a even worse mother. I however am dark, but I am noble, honest, loyal, and overall just a good guy. I just have a natural connection with necromancy or lower vibrations. Someone needs to walk through the valley of fear, un afraid . Watching the dark sheep so they don't hurt other flocks. That's me, but your white light couldn't banish a faint black ghost turd off a black floor

I am the same - I gravitate to the dark side but wouldn't ever harm anything or anybody who didn't try to harm me or mine.
