In either case, both organizations are only interested in solving military problems and disputes BETWEEN NATIONS.
Neither organization is the least bit interested in what happens within internally troubled countries such as Zimbabwe, Northern Ireland, or
America.
Now if California were being invaded by (say) China, troops would be immediately rushed in to assist the US military.
But just because little Arnie screwed up his piggy bank, is of no concern at all to the United Nations, or the government of any other nation on the
planet for that matter.
When Dubai went bust a couple of weeks back, were UN troops rushed in ?
Did the US send military over there to keep the peace ?

Nobody gave a rat's ass that Dubai is now a financial basket case, except maybe the elite that have money stashed over there hidden from the IRS..
Americans seem to think millions of heavily armed UN troops are suddenly going to descend on America if law and order breaks down.
It just is not going to happen like that.
The California state budget is of absolutely no interest whatsoever to foreign governments anywhere.
You may very well see martial law declared, but there will be no heavily armed foreign armies..being shipped into California.
The Canadians have some sort of joint military training exercise planned for after Christmas, but that was planned quite a long time ago.
