I have something it is all worked out except for one small detail. Some stronger language to make it clear that it must be followed to the letter before starting any other new thing.

If the government thought this was great idea, why not add an amendment to give them the power to do what this bill allows or even go one better a true UHC? The answer is that it would not have made it through the amendment process. Far easier to make another unconstitutional law and make the people either jump on the bandwagon or become too apathetic to say NO! and really mean it by backing that up by force if necessary (which is very constitutional an wholly American despite what lies they teach in school today)

Here is the true acid-tyranny test of any legislation.

Unless those who enacted the legislation are willing to they themselves utilize it/obey by it, you know it is a crooked deal that is flawed in some way. Tyranny is present

In choosing to keep their own insurance, the Congress has said very clearly that their are classes of royalty and commoners. The Congress has shown very clearly which class they believe themselves to be.

Do you have or will you have, if this legislation is enacted, the same healthcare as your Congressional "Representative" that you also pay for? If no, tyranny is present. Your rulers are "better" than you.

The People are supposed to be the power, they are supposed to be the government. The Bill of Rights lays it out pretty clearly.

Wasn't there a violent struggle to rid the country of non-representative control by Royalty a couple of hundred years ago? Folks were upset about taxation without representation, or something like that, and finally took up arms and fought back when the tax-master tried to take their guns?

I'd like to thank you all for enlightening me. The majority of you are right. If someone can't afford health care then they should die. If they can't find a job above minimum wage then they should die. Health care should be only for those that can afford it, it should be only for those that rise to the top, the insurance companies are our saving grace, surely they won't put profit above the general good. Who cares if the peons can't afford it, there are more where they came from.

So your saying that it's the governments responsiblity to police the big bad companies that don't give their employees good HC coverage.....I have a great idea....look for a job that does give you good HC benefits. I personally get coverage from my employer and have to pay for my wifes, which costs $130.00 a week.
Now, if I find another company which offers me the same pay and coverage for my wife, I take the job. That is the free market in action. I don't want or need the government wiping my A$$. I know, now you ask...what about the poor? I already pay over $500.00 a month to medicad & medicare. How much more blood does your followers want or require?

Well this morning I wrote my rep a simple note.

"I supported you for years. But, now you have lost my vote in 2010. We have corresponded about this issue several times. You still decided to vote against my wishes and those of the majority of your constituents.

I will work hard to ensure you are removed from office."

We need to let our Senators know the fate that awaits them if they follow the example the house set.

Sorry if this is a step or two behind but after reading some of the posts here about a Nation Strike, ect. It got me thinking. obama the destroyer or as I'm starting to call him the idiot in-chief just my be smart after all. Think about it. What did he do soon as he took office? He went on a mad spending spree making the dollar worthless, shot unemployment to record heights so you have thousands plus out of work without insurance and now we get national healthcare. It's been planed soon as he took office.
Will we be able to save our country? I hope so. If this passes the Senate will the hopefully new people in the 2010 election beable to stop this? Will our votes even matter?

And this bill doesn't change that. In fact it would have been easier and way faster to amend the Medicare and Medicaid minimum requirements to cover more people. And simply gave more funding to the states for Medicaid.

This was not about providing health care to more Americans. This was not about making insurance more affordable. There is not a single word about a maximum premium rate for policies.

Look at what happened to auto insurance rate when everyone had to have auto insurance. If people think they pay too much now, just wait for it. And about that 2.5% tax for people, you will wish it was only 2.5% in time.

And while we are looking at history, the direct tax on income (IRS) tables were only for those that made more than $5000/year. In other words, only the rich paid income tax in those days. If you adjust for inflation. No one that makes less than $150,000/year should pay, yet April 15 comes every year for the majority of Americans. And every CPA and accountant would have it no other way.

There are more H&R Block's than McDonald's in America. Just remember that.

I ask you....since when is it the responsiblity of other people to care for you. I say you, because it sounds like your being personally affected in some way to this. I went on for years without health care, never hurt me. I could never have afforded it 25 years ago, let alone today. But, as the need of health care became an issue for me, I acted. I did not turn to the government to wipe my backside, I went out and found a job that gave me the benefits I needed.
So many people out there think that they deserve a free ride through life. Well sorry to burst your bubble....nothing is free in a free society. Freedom costs more then enslavement, period. If you truely want your government to be able to help you coast through life, start by telling them to get of countries they occupy and stop all the warmongering. That alone should give them enough to pay for your needs.

Now that is rich. I use the VA, and don't pay anything out of pocket beyond 8 bucks a month per prescription. Here's the thing you probably won't get. The VA is socialized health care, it works very well for me, and unlike others here and at those stupid tea parties, I'm not going to be a jackass about it and protest against socialized health care. If you look, you'll see those jackasses. The military person complaining about socialized health care, the senior on his/her motorized scooter that was paid for by Medicare/Medicaid protesting against socialized health care, the veteran that uses the VA protesting against socialized health care, the person paying 500 dollars a month to an insurance company protesting against socialized health care because his taxes will go up... never mind that he won't have a 500 dollar a month payment to insurance so it would probably be a net wash, those protesting that they don't want a government bureaucrat deciding what care they get when, as it is, there's an accountant with a spread sheet deciding what care they get, the people that think forcing the peons to pay insurance agencies instead of getting prices under control and having a single payer system is a good thing.

But, it is America, business as usual, land of the jackasses.

and note the government plan will cost just as much in 10 years... 1 trillion dollars in 10 years? yeah friggin right try triple that

No one is refused care in this country. Anyone, even illegal aliens, can go to any hospital emergency room and receive the "best standard of care" or the feds will come in and fine them into submission. It is called EMTALA. Hospitals tremble in fear at the mere shadow of a thought of an EMTALA investigation. The feds will do a colonoscopy on the CEO if they think it will produce another fine.

Yes healthcare is too expensive in this country. Putting fed.gov in charge of it with a whip isn't going to help.

The problem is being FORCED to or be subject to fines and imprisonment. They are dictating what we can and cannot do.

This socialist crap has no business being in this country. Furthermore, every represontative that voted for it should be removed from office immediately and permantently, and forebidden to hold any other government office of any type.

It is a sad day in the USA when there is no more insentive to build a business due ot the socialistic bent that the government is taking.

I never said that I supported forcing people to buy into insurance or face fines and imprisonment. I oppose it, vehemently. It's just a give away to the insurance industry at the point of a gun.

There are other way of handling it, and if we can spend billions in Iraq and Afghanistan, if we can give trillions to the banks, we can spend to keep our work force, and the people healthy.
