If one of the participants was my son(I don't have children) I would haul his butt to the police station and turn him in myself. If I had a daughter, and she were the victim, the monsters who participated and stood by and watched would be hunted down and found with objects inserted in a certain orifice, and a bullet in the head. We have brought this on ourselves, though. We no longer teach children morality and the consequences for violating the moral rules of society.

Richmond is a S**THOLE. This kind of thing happens ALL the time. Just go to any of our local news sites here. Richmond is on there daily. Shootings, gangs, rape, robbery, prostitution, you name it. Headlines such as, 'Four in costudy for rape of Richmond lesbian'. As of October 5th there have been 41 shooting related homicides. The residents are too scared to report or are being threatened by gangs if they do. Sadly, this has been a big problem for years.

This is terrible but i dont understand the casual sentiment implying this sort of thing is something new?

Males have abused women horribly since the dawn of time, its sad but true, and its not about family values or underage sex being on the telly. Its about respect and the way much of macho male culture regards women and always has done.

Gangs are an affront on a community.

Criminal groups tend to happen.

When their leaders don't keep them down to a dull roar, they are asserting their "ownership" of an area in contravention of the community, and the varied elected levels of goverenment.

By using force to assert themselves as the leadership of an area, they make themselves an invader and a defacto goverenment system.

That means that if and when militias or the military hunt them down and treat them as an invading force when they get to this point, the point at which local police and governance cannot protect any longer, those militias are protecting their freedoms. They should not be charged. So long as after they "cede" back to the real government that they are trying to reestablish.

If the gang and mobsters don't like that, then they ought to reign their little punks in.

This is all normal in a world where dehumanization, desensitization, and madison ave MTV be like the idiots on TV menatlity prevailes. You want to be cool like the thugs on TV singing about their materialistic greatness. You want to dance like a puppet like Beyonce and be a sexy mammajamma don't you? You want to be tough like the thuggies you see in the movies don't you? It's all by design but thats too far into esoteric thinking for most folks. Keep watching TV, they will tell you who your idols are. They will tell you who to be like.. just like the movies. Your values are no more and it's funny to watch people fail and get hurt, it's funny to laugh at your fellow human when they are in trouble. Most sane people would not willingly choose to live in many parts of Richmond. You live there because you don't have a choice.

These are the values of children raised in slums.

If you witness a rape in progress and don't report it, you are almost as evil as the person(s) committing the rape.

I'm still not seeing the connection... are you saying that Beyonce encourages people to rape?

Even when thugs are portrayed, I don't recall ever seeing a thug be a rapist.... drug dealer sure... weapons dealer maybe... but rapist?

Actually it's not just like the movies... it's just like humans... we learn our values from that which we watch and see around us... it's not sad, it's just the way we are wired. What IS sad is that Mom&Dad don't fill the void but instead let other external information fill that void.

This whole story makes me misty eyed for real. I have a soft spot for children and that's what this poor girl is. I am slow to anger, and quick to forgive, but these animals are lucky I wasn't walking by when they decided to engage in such a vicious act... The headline may have read a little differently.

And the society makes the kids sicker and sicker, as each day goes by. Not by force, but by allowance. By showing the possibilities of fun they can have on television, movies, video games, it all ends up in their sub conscious telling them what to do.

wont be long until someone lets slip that the attack was captured on mobile phones....

This is due completely to a lack of family values, morality, and respect being taught to children by lazy parents.

Not only should these teens be punished but their parents (after some investigation) should possibly be punished as well for being worthless sacks of crap. I can see a few parents being good and still end up raising a monster, it happens, but there is no way that all of these parents were doing their job and raised kids like this.


If my son ever did something like this I would personally punish him and then turn him into the police for further punishment. It makes me sick to think that our children have lost all thought of morals. Many kids lack respect not only for adults but people in general today.

I understand there are still plenty of good kids out there but surely they are becoming a minority. I wonder how many of these boys parents will come to defend their actions. It is time we stop defending and start demanding they be punished. I am sure some (involved) will say the girl deserved it or brought it on herself. How many will say that she initiated it or even wanted this? Truly sickening, the world we live in today.
