The story keeps changing.

Read the thread first before you comment?

This has been posted and is under discussion.

I see Delfgaauw has meanwhile mentioned
the 'project' on his hobby site.

So, the details and facts on his site are
1 image and 1 date.

Case of the Flying Dutchman.

...

As of three days now,
my main internet acces has been disconnected.

I don't know if it relates to my ongoing
investigations, or whether the provider
has changed some policies recently.

However, I prefer to solve issues by means of
communication.

I have meanwhile personally passed on the information
regarding the Butterfly, to some actual professional
dedicated and inspired Dutch artists.

The first response, after hearing Delfgaauw's claim,
is a shrug of disbelief and a loud laugh.

(I may post more on this.)

Every person I've talked to so far, hadn't heard of
the Butterfly yet, as the story for most part,
is being suppressed in The Netherlands.

Kind of a futile PR strategy by
a professional business man, mr Delfgaauw?

Kind of a futile 'surprise' for
a purported but non-existing 'event'?

...

I'm sure many here, like me, continue to wonder
why Crop Circle Connector (CCC) insists to promote
Delfgaauw's unsubstantiated claims?

They (CCC) can easily figure out the facts like I have?

So,

What is really going on there?

Have they been hijacked?

...

If anyone of CCC reads here:

I have recently tried to register in the CCC forum.

I've received a confirmation, my request was submitted
for approval, I've waited several weeks now,
without ever hearing from CCC again.

If you (CCC), would want to maintain your
assumed 'neutral stance':

By all means, it would be fair to at least add
a link in your 'rumors' section to the discussion here?

If not, allow me to present my point of view and research
on your site, regarding mr Delfgaauw's Claims?

My request for membership however, is added
to the pile of non-issues.

Sorry, I don't want to be misunderstood here.

Because I know, most of you are doing a great job,
and many have been doing just that, for many years.

...

I repeat here what I wrote earlier:

Even though someone has been vaguely pointed out
as the alleged 'designer' of this butterfly,
not any actual solid facts have been
provided yet.

No one in the Netherlands has provided
any actual substantial details and facts.

((( Nothing. )))

...

I've added a few posts in this thread with, only
some of, the hard questions.

Even though one of Delfgaauws companions actually
entered this thread (Tragos), no questions
have been answered regarding THEIR claims.

Only one soft answer has been provided by Tragos:

"Go check CCC, to read Delfgaauw's cover-story"

...

Finally,

Anything else we need to consider this case
a true Mystery?

the article itself nor the comments below do not contain any info about when this was made or the time it took..

- it was a photo made by Joop, an aerial photographer.
- it can be found near the city of Goes, Holland
- the stadium near the crop circle belongs to Feijenoord, de Kuip in Rotterdam and was placed there in REAL size in relation to the crop circle. so you can get an impression of the size.

this is all i can give you on this....

Why dont you just give the "Koninklijke Maatschap de Wilhelminapolder" a call, that way you know for sure. Whatever people say doesn't seem to change your mind so give the guys who gave permission to do that job a call. Dont be shy, most Dutch people speak English also. One more thing, the way you handle this "stuff" is really the other way around, why not go for fake first and then clear the list of proof/fake and see what you endup with? You seem to believe in things not off this world, which is good. But why get dissapointed all the time if you approach it the wrong way?

...

Sorry my friend, you are wrong here.

The burden of proof is always on the claimant.

The fact you to choose to respond
as you do, only tells us that you are
not looking at the facts.

I am not looking for 'proof ' to the authenticity of the Butterfly.

Some here need to provide the proof
to the claim that the Butterfly
has been made by Earth Humans.

This proof, after 8 days and 10 pages,
does not exist.

p.s:

I'm only debating facts and details.

Anyone can follow the leads I provided,
and confirm that I'm asking fair questions
which so far have not been answered
by the claimer; Mr. Remco Delfgaauw & Co.

ITS A MANNERFLY!

OMG RUUUUN!

You know what, who can tell the real with the fake anymore... all i can say is that their actually might be an underground group of crop circle makers.... these things seem to be coming out daily, like if there is some kind of competition between groups...

just my 2 cents...

Please, stop posting that image with the green and blue border around the "butterfly", the original is offencive enough to my poor eyes, even without that 70s looking border.

Thanks.

I agree with this

It would be nice if he'd stop taking over threads also. He could also use a normal posting style instead of taking a paragraph or two of information and making it take up a whole page.

You guys are hilarious.

For what reason exactly do you visit a
discussion forum?

To post off-topic drivel?

Observer1, the original poster,
left his thread/post up to anyone willing
to discuss the matter at hand, as you can read
several pages back.

on-topic:

What we have here
is the evident fact that
Mr Delfgauw & Co, don't seem
to be willing to provide substantial
facts and details to their claim?

You ought to forward your complaints to him.

I'm not the one claiming to be
the creator and designer of this butterfly.

Cygnyfic,

They have indeed added a message on the 10th of August
that a 'cropcircle' had "appeared" on the 7th?

They only show some images from
the discoverer; Joop van Houdt,
which we all have seen already?

They do not make any other claims.

They do not give any additional information.

www.kmwp.nl...

...

Bottom-line is:

Everyone points to the same source;
aerial photographer Joop van Houdt?

Not anyone has provided any actual facts and details.

Face it.

You can call the owners of the corn field and ask them if they gave permission to the people to make the crop circle. You dont believe me, nor others who provided info. So, just give them a call and find out the truth. Although i have a feeling even then you wont accept it.

We can go on and on, but you are not willing to do any work yourself, other then blindly believe what is shown or written. Very wrong my friend, never blindly trust something, not even what i said
. As i said earlier, your believe system works the other way around.

Just leave it be. Sol12 doesn't do any real research at all.

He/she does nothing but post a bunch of stuff in a cryptic manner, implies that it's all fact with nothing concrete to prove that and then goes on to complain about how nobody has posted any kind of evidence of their claims yet.

There's a few reason he/she does this:

1.) He/she uses this posting style:

blah blah blah
words words words
letters letters letters

...

..

.

more of the blah
return of the blah blahs

annoying dots ...

annoying dots ..

annoying dot .

Notice how what should have only taken up a couple lines/small paragraph now takes up more space and features numerous dots? That's done to grab your attention. You think "what's with the dots?" and wonder what they're talking about so you read it.

2.) He/she uses this cryptic style of posting. You think you get what Sol12 is saying, but you're not quite sure. So you make a post and ask him/her to explain it. Only he/she doesn't explain anything because apparently he/she already did that and doesn't need to do it again. Just tells you to go research what he/she is saying. Also does this to try coming off as more intellectual than others.

3.) Every once in while adds a big, colorful image to a post of theirs. It's just another way to grab your attention and make sure whatever he/she posts is seen by everyone. Notice I said "seen by everyone" and not "read by everyone"?. They know constantly adding an image like that (especially the same one just re-colored) will get on the nerves of some people and get them to say something. Then Sol12 will say it's an attack. When it's just people getting tired of seeing the same pic over and over.

4.) Takes over threads. The OP saying something like: "Feel free to post what you wish" doesn't translate to "Make 10 annoyingly long posts per page"

I'm not the only one who has brought this stuff up and more than a few people have made it clear how annoying all the "... .. ." stuff is because of how much space it takes up. Go look at other threads Sol12 has posted in and look at how much space just one post takes up when it could have easily taken up one or two small paragraphs. Look at how many mouse scrolls it can take just to get through one of his/her's posts.

This is when Sol12 comes back to make a large comment that starts off replying to this post, but will turn into a post about how beautiful the butterfly-man is (colorful picture added) and a complaint on how nobody has yet to provide any evidence of their claims yet, even though Sol12 hasn't either.

Don't worry Sol12, I'll gladly be ignoring you from now on. As many others are doing I'm sure.

So I thought lets post this thing... The photographer did reference scaling of a soccer field to give the estimate size of this thing!

They say its not hoax like last year.. But who knows what the experts over here will say about that.

What do you think?

What do i think?
I think there is no convincing evidence to suggest that crop circlrs are anything but man made. Why members continue to post articles about crop circles in "Aliens & U.F.O's" is beyond me and I find it quite tiresome.

Considering the motto of this site is "Deny Ignorance" I find it surprising that the mods have not adressed this issue.

that is what I think,

If you find my comments on your insistence in posting that image off-topic does that mean that you think that the added blue-green border is on-topic?

Does it add anything to the knowledge we have about this crop-circle?

Does it help the discussion in any way?

If it does not then it's as off-topic as my comment.

PS: if your aesthetic feelings are so string toward that image I suggest you use it as your avatar, that way you can use it on all of your posts and it will not be considered off-topic and space-wasting.

Cygnific, nightmare_david, ArMap:

...

You insist having a go at "me"?

Topic of this thread:

The "da Vinci cropcircle",

Netherlands, 7th of August 2009.

According to claimant Remco Delfgaauw,
he created this giant:

(Three times bigger than any cropcircle ever found anywhere.)

- in "one night"

- After 1 and a half day of preparations.

- With a group of 50/52/55/60 people?

- By using GPS.

- Bla bla bla..

However,

He does not even provide each of these few 'details'
on his hobby-site? (only updated 13th of August.)

www.xld-sign.com...

A few 'details' are mentioned on the Dutch UFO disinfo site;
niburu.nl, which are copied by all the other 'sources'.

www.niburu.nl...

Crop Circle Connector (CCC) is only linking to these 'sources'?

www.cropcircleconnector.com...

There is only one actual source.

The upload from the photographer/discoverer:

defotograaf.smugmug.com...

...

There is only 1 actual fact here:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/7792ce171d82.jpg[/atsimg]

...

That's all folks.

Don't forget to switch of the lights, before you leave.

No, I don't insist in "having a go at you" or anybody else, and I never did it in these five years I have been on ATS.

If you were offended by my remarks about your repetitive posting of that image (that I really find offencive), that was not my intention, but it shows that sometimes people get offended by things that we do not consider offencive ourselves.

And if you remember, some posts back (in an answer to the first post in which you added a "colourised" version of the crop circle) I agreed with you, there is something not right with the explanations and we should keep this under investigation.

But that does not mean that we should stay here on this thread just asking other people to do something and repeat our previous posts, we should do it ourselves, and considering that some of the ATS members that posted on this thread are, apparently, in the same country where this happened and they speak the language, they are the ones in the best position to further investigate. I don't speak Dutch (and I only understand some few words of German), so I cannot help much in this case.

So, everybody, please, back on topic, preferably without any unnecessary things on the posts.

PS: we also should remember that images make the pages load slower for those that have slow Internet connections, and some people pay per byte downloaded, so any image is costing them more money than several lines of text.
