I would like to clarify what I am hearing Dark Ghost say. White heterosexual men were happier before women started becoming equal, before blacks started becoming equal, and before homosexuals started becoming equal. White heterosexual men had control of everything darnit and now they are left to be equal right along with everyone else, and they just can't handle true equality. They have forgotten how to control the one thing that matters, themselves. Ok Dick, get out of the victim mentality, you are not in control anymore, equality is on the rise, and you can kick and scream all you want, but you still won't get your elitist mentality way.

If a gay man were to brutally assault a strait man the gay man would only be charged with assault, EVEN if the only reason for the assault was because the man was strait.

If a strait man brutally assaults a gay man, and lets say because he owed him money or something and not because he was gay, all it would take is for the gay man to say it was a gay bashing and all of a sudden it becomes a hate crime and an assault charge. Even if the gay man was evenly matched in size and strength to the strait man.

These issues in society have become a double edged sword. It is the same regarding race. It is ok for a racial minority to pick on a white guy but not vice versa.

What was the old saying, something about a dream and being judged on the content of your character? Why is it that so many groups in society now want to be judged on how they look and act and not by their character? I can tell you I know many gay people who are quite content with the amount of equality they have today. As many of you have said on here what cant you do what they can do? I ask the same thing. Besides marriage what cant gays do? You cant even make jokes about them anymore. What rights dont they have? And yet you hear infinite whining and complaiing about rights. You think non gays dont have to worry about being brutally beaten and murdered for the way they look? Get real.

That may not actually be true. This would be considered a Hate Crime.

Hi, I'm one of those "nasty homo-gays", and have been as long as I can remember - but I have yet to receive my instructions on how to turn others gay and ruin the sanctity of "normal" marriage.

Seeing people making out and all kind of stuff IS DISGUSTING! And I don't want to see gay people making out either though, but thats my point. Gay people have their little parade thing one single time a year, and thats it (atleast where I live)! I just ignore it and don't go to San Francisco that day. And I don't think there is much gay people here in Oakland where I live, so we don't have one here (as far as I know).

The reason I stand up for gay people so much is because I understand where they are coming from, I to have been hated and told that I am wrong just because of what I am attracted to (I am pretty much only attracted to black women, except Scarlett Johanssen, mm so sexy *drools*. Thats seriously the only white girl I have ever been attracted to though).

But obviously gay people get much, much more hate aimed towards them than I ever will. And I also have equal rights cause I'm straight, they don't. And thats all they want.

Gay people are just different, and there is nothing wrong with being different, being diverse and different is what makes the humans BEAUTIFUL!

Guess what... when I see things I don't want to see.. I IGNORE IT! I probably don't like see 2 dudes kissing as much as you do, but I just ignore it! Its simple as that. You have eyeballs, stop being a lazy and move them or close them if you see something you don't like its not that hard.

Thats what I do, I simply just don't go to the gay pride parade thing. I ignore it, its for gay people, let them have it, who cares.

And why do bring up white straight people? Is love only allowed as long as its between 2 white people of opposite sex? I'm married to a black girl and we have a mixed daughter, and another one on the way, and guess what, our children are BEAUTIFUL and my wife is the most GORGEOUS girl on the entire planet!. My wife had a baby, and it took having sex with her a couple times while she was ovulating to get her pregnant, and thats it. occasionally there are examples where political correctness goes too far. i think in the uk they are going to be making it a serious offense to have any gay jokes in tv series or something. that is laughably stupid and unfair on every other group, straights, men, women etc. who can all have jokes said about them normally. whilst i think little britain is rubbish, the 'only gay in the village' jokes are not remotely offensive to anyone and with good reason- and are even written and performed by a gay actor. but in every day life the boot is firmly still on the straight mans foot and planted firmly up the gay man's rear, if you'll excuse the pun.

people get out-raged that kids might be told at school that it's ok to be gay and that you should try to accept who you are. the media are always making a terrible fuss of such things and things like marriage are not the same for gay people. if anyone here thinks gays are oppressing straights, just take a moment to consider one of the most popular words used either to mean weird or bad- gay.

how many people who whine about gays getting treated better would happily use this word as an insult? that's gay! he's so gay! go away you gay!

Gay people are already as gay as it gets. Once you are gay, you cannot get any gayer. Now here is where it gets weird. ONLY STRAIGHT PEOPLE CAN BECOME GAYER. That is correct. Only straight people can become gayer. Generally the gayer the straight person is, the more opposed to homosexuality they are.

IE- most people don't have problem with gays. They just don't want to think/hear about it constantly, just like a gay person probably doesn't want to hear about me being straight. So long as people just consider themselves a person like everyone else, everyone should get along just fine.

people are what they are - that's what this is really all about

civil rights - all of us being treated equally - no segregation, no special rights or preferential treatment for individuals or groups that believe they are superior - or "normal"

all people should be allowed to be whoever and whatever they are - or what they CHOOSE to be for that matter

we can't ask people to hide away their cultural identity just because it annoys us - you might as well say you're free to be Latino/Black/Chinese/Lithuanian - whatever - just don't be obvious about it - don't BOTHER us with your identity or group behavior
