Ok, so I'm starting to understand basic concepts.

Excellent question! It sure seems like you understand to me.

-
We await the affects of the C class flare, which should be minimal, correct?Yes, historically these should have minimal effects.

We we say we await the affects, are we referring to the impact on the magnetosphere? Or the impact on the earth from the impact on the magnestosphere?

Both, and the effects of the energies themselves.

And if so, can planetary alignment, full moons, or eclipses have any impact on the potential affect of what follows from a solar flare?

If so, could conditions make an otherwise harmless C or B flare seem more...significant than usual?

I don't know. They are magnetic bodies with gravity so logic would suggest so, but I have posed this portion of your question to a solar physicist and I hope he can manage to find time to answer.

Maybe solarcycle24.com would be another good place to pose this question in the meantime, as I assume any solar scientist is probably quite occupied at the moment and the hobbyists are most likely abuzz on the net.

Thanks!

Also, everyone wanting to see this latest flare in detail, go to the SOHO search page here.

Select the image type (in this case, you want LASCO images with coronagraph), enter the amount of images you want in the "n" field, choose a resolution, choose your format (still images or animated movie)
and click search.

And an edit to include my bad attempt at an animated gif, which I realized half way through making that it is redundant lol!

Hi so, I've been watching this thread for a while, very interesting

This has just been brought up in another thread: www.abovetopsecret.com...

I checked it out for myself from here hisz.rsoe.hu...

And as the original poster in that thread asked, Is it normal for EVERY single volcano on that map to be erupting? Do you think it might have something to do with the flare ect?

and also, Thanks all especially Brokenheadphonez for supplying us with all these juicy bits of info
Make a very informative and exciting thread to read!

You're welcome I appreciate it I think it's ... why I'm here today.

I've never seen that many "airplane incidents", 1 or 2 sure on hazard map, but over 30!?

Maybe I'm going to head to the store..

Heh, I think I'll do the same!

It's insane! There's been quite a few recent earthquakes also!

Actually, I think the brew might be quite benificial in these current times, with all the additives in food and chemicals in water (like flouride, a byproduct of aluminum) It flushes you out. And is proven to be much better for you than soda pop.

Great thread guys S&F!

Thar she blows Class C 1.0 at 17:00

I've been monitoring the GOES X-ray flux site. Wow with the crop circles...Dbl Wow!

The crop circles say there will be 5 of them.
But thanks for the update.. I had stopped watching.

I am becoming intrigued.

I had always passed crop circles off as string and board BS....

This could be HUGE folks.

Hello

Nothing to see...

Solar X-ray Flux are stable and very calm...

And NOAA / Space Weather Prediction Center said :

-Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. There is also a chance for an isolated C-class flare from Region 1024.

-Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at quiet levels throughout the forecast period (06 - 08 July).

Let's see. Human consciousness is limited, even in these times.

Just think... To believe there is no higher consciousness is to be foolish. Hasn't there always been? Since you were a child? Even now?
