or

She is going to non-stop rail against a corrupt government, with a conservative angle, and might incite the portion of the population which is conservative (which is rather large and heavily armed) to do something.

My guess is the latter. She is an amazing crowd magnet - she regulary outdrew Obama during the campaign (and that's what scares both libs and softcore Republicans)- and she will be an outstanding fundraiser and beacon for conservative values.

This could be a big boost in the Dem's losing the Congress in 2010. And Obama's Death Knell for 2012. It could also hope to put the brakes to a lot of Obama's destructive legislation that he is cramming down our throats.

This could be good, good, good.

Waves hi to Watchman...

I agree with you 100%!!!

Recently Ms.Palin visited my hometown in Upstate NY for a "Founder's Day" celebration and several people I know well paid to "meet and greet" her in a small personal gathering.

Every single one of them said "She is an "idiot"...I am quoting here not judging. Not one of 7 people had anything positive to say about her except that "she is very pretty."
They said her conversational skills are "lacking" and that she flat-out refused to chat about anything of importance...she talked about her kids, her clothes, and the weather just as any other family-oriented person might in a polite social setting.
She gave NO indictaion that she took the position she holds seriously in their opinion and all are white-collar professionals in the area who are aware of world issues.

I wish her well nut do NOT believe she is qualified in any way, shape,or form to advance (or be advanced) in a political career of intent and purpose.

I hope she can have a great life ahead and will no doubt make a financial "killing" doing the talk-show/lecture circuit where they will focus on "her"and nothing else of importance and she'll get to chat only about that as well.

Watching her press conference today (and I think I've seen it four times thanks to the MSM), there was something off about her. She almost seemed scared and incredibly nervous.
******SKIP******
I honestly hope it's just me and not something terrible happening to her or her family, or a scandal about to break.

Well, there are some sources saying a scandal IS about to break!

Did an Embezzlement Scandal Force Sarah Palin to Resign?

Sarah Palin may have quit her job today because she was trying to avert a major, yet-to-be-disclosed corruption scandal. The gist of the rumor is that an Alaska building company called Spenard Building Supplies (SBS) was awarded a contract by Palin to build a hockey arena in Wasilla, AK, and in return, SBS helped construct Palin’s home:

Many political observers in Alaska are fixated on rumors that federal investigators have been seizing paperwork from SBS in recent months, searching for evidence that Palin and her husband Todd steered lucrative contracts to the well-connected company in exchange for gifts like the construction of their home on pristine Lake Lucille in 2002.

And a little more from another source, ...

Did An Embezzlement Scandal Force Sarah Palin To Resign?

SBS has close ties to the Palins. The company has not only sponsored Todd Palin's snowmobile team, according to the Village Voice's Wayne Barrett, it hired Sarah Palin to do a statewide television commercial in 2004.

Though Todd Palin told Fox News he built his Lake Lucille home with the help of a few "buddies," according to Barrett’s report, public records revealed that SBS supplied the materials for the house. While serving as mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin blocked an initiative that would have required the public filing of building permits—thus momentarily preventing the revelation of such suspicious information.

Just months before Palin left city hall to campaign for governor, she awarded a contract to SBS to help build the $13 million Wasilla Sports Complex. The most expensive building project in Wasilla history, the complex cost the city an additional $1.3 million in legal fees and threw it into severe long-term debt. For SBS, however, the bloated and bungled project was a cash cow.

Sounds to me like a pretty good reason for her to resign!

Sarah Palin is a person who likes to be in the limelight, winning the Miss Wasilla beauty pageant and being runner up in the Miss Alaska pageant, becoming mayor of Wasilla, governor of Alaska, and making a run for the vice president of the US!

This is somebody who likes to be center stage, the center of attention, for people to see her and to hear what she has to say.

Do you REALLY think somebody like Sarah Palin would, VOLUNTARILY, for NO reason whatsoever, step out of the limelight!

I don't think so, unless something VERY BAD was on the horizon for her!

Bad girl, no biscuit!

No, no... I think Sanford is a much more exemplary example of conservative values in action.
