That would be an excellent strategy if her intention is to run for Soccer-Mom-in-Chief. Her problem is that most us have no problem seeing her as a Soccer Mom but very few of us can envision her as a national, nevermind international POLITICAL figure.

She is going to make bank. I can see her as a conservative talk show host.
She can charge for speeches and I'm sure a best seller is in the works. But her national political career is over. She threw in the towel today.

I agree with you, she is and was the one thing Statist cannot forgive; a real Christian who is conservative happily married wife, who made it herself without a governmental handout or by whining. She is a lady that drives them nuts, so they pervert what she says to make her look stupid (like the ‘Africa is a country’ lie), attack her children, family life and everything else.

But let me suggest an alternative motive for her resignation: Her husband was big in the succession movement and was beginning to get involved with the Patriot movement as was first reported by the Press; what if he convinced her the two party system was corrupt and unfixable, as he once stated he believed, and convinced her the gig was up? What if she now realizes what a growing segment of society is learning and has left government to prepare? Can you say Free States President Sara Palin?

What? The super mom and wife babe who can shoot moose, cook it for dinner, run a state and then make the best speeches while wearing pumps and running the good old boys off and out of government? At least she'd keep her promises and never bore you while she was speaking!

Why is it so many fear an articulate, well educated, self made woman and good mother who can handle her own fights without hiding behind her man? Damn sexy if you ask me.

This is bad news for Obama, Pelosi, and Reed, etc. She will dog them for ever, every day, all day long, saying, "I told ya so !" Think of the endless talk shows, speaking circuits, books galore. This is going to be great !

She may very well be an articulate person and she is educated. Unfortunately, she showed herself to both inarticulate and uneducated on international politics.

Something about her speech makes me think she is having a nervous breakdown or has had one recently. I think there is a big scandal about to come to light. If she's having a nervous breakdown then I truly feel sorry for her but think in the past she has been very hateful and her religious views and her church's Pastor Muthee wanting to stone that woman in Kenya to death (for being a witch who was causing traffic accidents) frightening. Totally insane!

It would be stunning I she threw back in with AIP and pushed for Alaska's independence as a sovereign country. That would shake the USA upside down. I wouldn't put it past her but doubt it would succeed.

Sarah Palin might be a hero to backwards America, but she was a punchline to the rest of us. I reeeeeallly hope she runs for president in 2012. Not because, I want either party to win as a result, but because I think she's hilarious.

What a freakin' sideshow act she was. I feel bad for McCain for having her on his ticket. I might not necessarily agree with him on a lot of issues, but I have a lot of respect for him.

er it's not a palin vs. obama contest. must you really go there? most of us can separate individuals out especially when attempting to discuss an individual.
