Uh, I've posted my entry, hope it fits into T&C.

I meant it to be what it is however. Sorry if it disturbs. . .

This is fiction my friend. Do what you want. If anyone is disturbed than you have accomplished your goal. You are free to disturb anyone when writing fiction. I have read your story, and yes I am disturbed. Well done!

Man this month needs to end. This contest seems like it has been going for like a year now. Maybe my mind is just moving too fast. one month is TOO LONG!!! lol

I just want the next contest to come along so I can write something different

Why not write something now?

I'd post others I've written but T&C would probably knock me off.

So I'm stewing on other things. Once the book I've written has gotten through being chewed up by my editor, I'm planning to post exerpts, if allowed.

If you looked at the OP for the contest, you'll notice that you can replace an entry with another before the deadline ends. There's still lots of time... that is if the world as we know it doesn't end before then.

But I don't wanna write about indigos no more. They make me angry. I want another contest cause its much more fun to write for a contest than to just write for the dump of it

You can count on another contest almost immediately after this one.

If the moderators of this forum don't start one within a few days of the winners being announced here, I'll start one myself.

Any ideas?

It would be fun to do a contest on:
Life at the time the government and technology turn on the people

First contact with a potentially hostile alien race

Living in a Distopian society
Just some thoughts.

It would also be cool to let the winner choose the next contest, sort of an added bonus for winning.

I like this idea. Bet we get tons of entries on that one.

Two lines

I second that idea. There's plenty of material right here on ATS if you need reference.

It's not my turn to run the next contest, but I'm sure those who are will be reading this thread.

The subject(s) of the next writing contest are already picked out and ready to go. The day this contest ends, a new one begins.

Awesome! Can we have a sneak peek? I would love to begin concentrating on the contest. I have to agree with Mr. Toodles in saying that the whole Indigo thing is far too monotonous.

I do have a story I'm working on, which could be put on the back burner if I caught a glimpse of the subject of the next contest. I know I will have to wait though. No problem at all. I can wait. Oh, I can do that. I've spoken with little Timmy and he taught me how to wait. That I can do.

Just kidding and letting my stupidity reign. Is there any way you can offer a small glimpse?

Now that really wouldn't be fair to those who come in at the last moment, would it?

Yeah, I knew better but it was worth a shot anyway. I will wait patiently and be pleasantly surprised like everyone else. It'll keep me thinking.

On this present contest ending:

Contest ends August 5th when the full moon sets in the west (we'll give a 6 hr break to Europeans because it sets earlier there).

The results should be available the following Sunday.

No reason the new contest can't start on August 6.

Oh poo. I wanted to know the subject matter. Maybe this time I won't rush to have mine posted the day the contest starts. Maybe even have a chance at winning this next one? YAY!
