It just seems so far away. Has anyone on this board hammered out how to time travel yet? If so, U2U me the necessary conditions that need to be met. I want to get a look at the topic and return.

Happy 8-6 birthday antar! I hope it is a great day for you and yours!

By a panel of anonymous judges who don't know who the others are.

They are also non-perticipants.

This is a writing issue, and good news, just got an email from my agent, they're going ahead with my book and they have gotten me an "editor" to help me with the errors I've made.

-wheeeeeee!- I get to quit my job, I get to quit my job, I get to quit my job!

Sorry, good news and I just wanted to share.

Good news indeed. May the editor be kind and your future prosperous.

I used to believe in the writers law, "Write drunk, Edit sober."

Then I met an editor who told me to get drunk, stay drunk, and let her do the editing.

I should have married her.

Now all I have to do is sober up.

Dammit......

I have been writing for 20+ years. It has only been recently that my work has been good enough to publish. Little things here and there. I have been dealing with this agent for a few months now. First one ever that would take me on as a client. This email tonight just sold it to me.

Thanks for your reply.

I've been writing for many years as well my friend. I've been published all over the net and many times in the real world.

Nothing cohesive enough to put into a novel though.

I'm just waiting for that magical moment when a publisher reads one of my stories and asks, "Is there any more?"

Then, I think, I shall change the world.

Changing the world is a wee bit ambitious for me. I'm going to start by telling my wife to quit her job and then, if all goes well, quit mine.

By the way, the book is about the first winner of the Utah state lottery. Not that they have one, but I thought it'd be fun to play with.

I will, with permission, want to post exerpts of it here if that is ok.

Mike

24 hours to go my friends. It's not too late to get that winning story in.

Not to mention a new contest will begin tomorrow.

Thank you Lady. The secret is not to take the first 500 rejection slips personally.

Disclaimer: I'm a theist but not of the Abrahamic faiths. I have minor biblical scholar and scriptural skills. Also I am not a scientific/legal or medical expert in any field. Beware of my Contagious Memes! & watch out that you don't get cut on my Occams razor. All of this is my personal conjecture and should not be considered the absolute or most definitive state of things as they really are. Use this information at your own risk! I accept no liability if your ideology comes crashing down around you with accompanying consequences!

Explanation: I was highly hesitant in giving it a go for multiple reasons the least of which was that I completely failed all my high school english classes!
But I couldn't resist giving it a go and I hope that it is a viable and valid entry. Thanks to ATS for giving me an opportunity.

Personal Disclosure: It was a rush job and I'm the worlds worst editor! Sorry! See this lame work of mine here: (IWWC) The Culling of a few Odd Dingos.

Nothing wrong with it, OL. Good entry.

It's not good grammar or correct spelling we're looking for... it's creativity.

(btw... loved the Johnny Cash line)

Now the current contest should have ended. Am I correct? I cannot wait to see what the next contest will be on.

Edit to fix broken quote brackets.
