However, I feel that alot of the blame should be reserved for the federal government who, time and again, have largely ignored this very valid issue.
Simply put: SHUT THE BORDER DOWN!!! Have a few key points of access, and shut the damn border down already. It could easily have been done long ago. Unfortunately the cheap labor and drug trafficking are just too prosperous to pass up, so this cycle of violence and hatred will likely continue because the boys at the top want to line their pockets. THAT is the truth.

No question the invasion by illegals continues because the congresscriminals are accepting bribes. But it would NOT be easy to shut down the border. What we need to do is stop all benefits, including schooling, for illegals, and end birthright citizenship, and throw the book at people and businesses that employ illegals. Most of them would then self-deport and not come back.

Repealing section 1 of the 14th Amendment would be a good start.
Making it hard for them to work would be effective. Have ICE pick the 5 largest construction sites in an area and raid them. Raid them again the next day. Go after the landscaping companies. Eventually they will be afraid to go to work, and move on.

You neglected to mention what should be done to the people the illegally hire these people..... American greed and laziness is why these people are able to get jobs here..... What do you propose to do about that.

Fine them. If they are caught again, suspend their businesses licenses.

They are the reason that people are here illegally and that is all that you can come up with.... They should be labelled as traitors and sent across with the wet backs..... It doesn't make sense to throw hard working, exploited people out of the country to just fine and revoke the licences of the crooked bastards that are profiting from their sweat.... I have to point out , that it is moraly retarded to believe that there is any justification for the death of innocent people at ANY time. The issue is not "was this right or wrong, whos really at fault blah blah blah". This INDIVIDUAL case is about an evil bunch of xenophobes with guns, shooting up a family home.This is about a child who will never grow up , never see the great sights that you or I will more than likely be allowed to see before we shake off our mortal coil .This is about a father and a husband being blown away in his own home, last thoughts in his head more than likely that he has failed those he loves most. This is about a woman who saw her family perish . Thats the bare bones of the issue , and those are the facts that count. Everything else, the legality of thier presence, wether they were or were not drug dealers, ALL that other crap , its all meaningless when faced with the weight of the crime not just against man, but against GOD ,that these disgusting nazi bastards perpertrated .
Another thing. You can tell that the motives behind what happened were not as stated in the mission statement. If they had been , then the militia group would have targeted someone hard... the slaying of a hard target is ALWAYS preferable to simply wiping out a soft one. If they had lain in wait for a proper cartel member and his retinue , and had a proper mini war with them , and won, well thats different . Im all for removing genuine threats. But theres no way that family posed the level of threat required to justify the actions carried out by these militia.
