Michelle Obama Visits ‘Sesame Street’: ‘Best Thing I’ve Done So Far’

Really?

Um ok, as usual I am at a loss for anything that will add to the topic.

It is what it is.

Exactly. It is a mother of two proud to be on a show adored by millions of children close to the ages of her own.

Or am I supposed to be looking for some satanic hand gestures she might be trying to sneak in?

Very well said.

I would consider it an honor to be on Sesame Street, myself. Fine, I'm not a first lady, but there is nothing wrong with taking a little pride in being on a decades old TV show that aims to educate children no matter who you are.

Besides, Michelle isn't in charge, her husband is. What exactly do you want differently from her?

I kind of see the OP's first point (hopefully). You'd think having her two daughters would have been the best thing she's ever done. Oh well, to each their own right?

oh, goodness.

where do i begin?

apparently there are those among us with the power to read minds and assume what our first lady is thinking and feeling.

she must really be hated to such a degree as to be criticized for saying such nice words.
wonder what else is coming down the pike?

it is definitely going to be a long 4 years.

Well we can see who used Oscar the Grouch as a roll model on this thread.
(And who aspired to grow up and be just like Ernie...)

As for Michelle Obama, I can only imagine the *feel good* she must have got after airing on an episode of Sesame Street.

How cool is that!

Let me correct her statement .. it's the ONLY good thing she's done so far.

What did she tell the kiddies? Did she tell them about her abortion
views and how she thinks preborn children should be murdered in the
womb? Did she tell them about her Valentines Day 3 day trip to
Chicago on Air Force One that cost the taxpayers $300,000?
Did she tell the children about spending all those years at the anti-white
black-liberation-theology cult in Chicago?

Or did she just do something like read a billy-goat book to them?
(Bush 43 style?)

They will have a fit if she ever uses her amazing mind or her law degree or in any way gets involved in some cause that has any particular political import. Imagine what they will call her then? Think they will call her a lesbian, socialist and a commie like they did Hillary? I think they will try to make her look like a violent black separatist, secret anarchist, terrorist, commie and a lesbian. They still accuse all powerful women of being lesbians of course.

This is just wrong on so many levels. She's telling kids to have an active lifestyle? Why is it any of her business how Americans raise their kids? Does she not know the value of eye-hand coordination that video games produce?

What's she going to do next? promote reeding, rightin and that math thingie? We'll be in a world of hurt then.

Lastly, why does she think that she can even speak for half of the parents and children? She doesn't even have any sons. :shk:

No, in truth sir she did not, she took time out of her busy schedule as being First Lady of the United States to promote (in my opinion) a cultural icon. Who in America hasn't heard of Sesame Street. If every child was raised with the values of the show we'd probably live in a better world. That said, your blatant bias against Mrs. Obama shames me. Obviously her support of the military family is a horrible thing for to be embarking on. Obviously raising her family is a horrible thing for her do.

Her responsibility is to her family. Imagine what it will be like for her children to see mommy on Sesame Street. I can only hope for a child to get that chance.

Grow up

Sincerely,
a white male catholic.

I really didn't have a point, just thought it was interesting she was on Sesame street.
Although now that I think about it, I don't really believe she believes what she said, she was just kissing up to Elmo.

Are you kidding me? In this economy? She would be sucking up to The Count. "1, 1billion tax dollars. 2, 2 billion tax dollars....."

I can see that becoming a driving song.

At least she is learning proper protocol now.
Everybody knows you don't touch Elmo until he touches you first.

How come they only show the First Butt from the waist up?
What a coinkydinky that the video comes from web site but_as_for me

Top 10 list of the best things Michelle Obama has done as 1st lady.

1. Being on Sesame Street.
2. let me think......
3-10 ??????????

Michelle is 100% right in making this comment!

In fact if you put Barack Obama's accomplishments together with Michelle's, the being on Sesame Street tops everything the two of them combined have accomplished so far!

Awwww!!! That's awesome. So many influential people have been on Sesame Street in the past, I think she deserves it. In a way it's even more important than TIME's list because it showcases people who are youth-appropriate and who set good examples for children.

Backatchya. Michelle is a racist pig. She's anti-white and anti-America.

Raising her family in an anti-white, anti-america, black-liberation-theology cult definatley was a horrible thing to do.

Grow up

backatchya.

funny how you can't take the truth told about this woman.
And that's what I told. The truth.

Sincerely, a white female catholic.

(You, sir, are no Catholic. You ought to be ashamed of your support for abortionists. Get with the program or get out of the church.)

As I said .. it's probably the ONLY good and honest thing she's ever done.

She means the best thing she's done so far as the first lady.

But there is nothing wrong with this that I can see...some of you guys could criticize Obama about anything it seems.

First ladies don't have any official job role....so how are you going to criticize them? Did Mrs. Bush do all that much? Mrs. Obama also spoke in front of a group of young girls and talked about her upbringing, I suppose that was worthless as well. Inspiring kids, what are we thinking?
