Oh, good lord!

You are so gullible and naive it's funny.
Hersh is a loser and am I supposed to take his word for it......I don't think so. Show me these video's he talks about and then you might have a case otherwise it's all rumor.

Why do you believe this stuff with no proof. Do you always believe what people tell you with no proof? Are you that gullible and naive?

So you chose the "attack the messenger" routine...

In this case the Messenger was the globally claimed and award-winning journalist Seymour Hersch., a Pulitzer prize winner:

"Hersch's work first gained worldwide recognition in 1969 for exposing the My Lai Massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War, for which he received the 1970 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting. His 2004 reports on the US military's mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison gained much attention.

Hersh received the 2004 George Polk Award for Magazine Reporting[1] given annually by Long Island University to honor contributions to journalistic integrity and investigative reporting. This was his fifth George Polk Award, the first one being a Special Award given to him in 1969."
-From Wikipedia

This page lists the awards that Seymour Hersh has received over the years and the stories that won those awards.:

en.wikipedia.org...

(If you have enough points, you could delete some of the awards from his wiki page to help justify your claims of journalistic ineptitude. Start with the Pulitzer he won :lol

*I find quite disturbing the lengths that torture supporters such as yourself will go to in order rationalize and justify their support for these depravities.

Nevertheless, by doing this openly; the torture supporter reveals himself and his true nature.

Such a revelation is useful and important to know - it allows the members the choice not to associate with those who support the use of torture, and tactics more commonly associated with third-world dictatorships and totalitarian societies than this Constitutional Republic.

Pant-legs, Peaches and cream? What are you on about?!

If you read my last few posts you would have noticed this quote:

"One of them took my penis in his hand and began to make cuts. He did it once, and they stood still for maybe a minute watching. I was in agony, crying, trying desperately to suppress myself, but I was screaming... They must have done this 20 to 30 times in maybe two hours. There was blood all over."

And this quote:

"The boys were sodomized with the cameras rolling. The worst about all of them is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking that your government has. They are in total terror it's going to come out. "

*Now what were you saying about peaches and cream?

You should change your name to Mr. Sensitive.
I did not attack you. Good grief! You do realize that saying you are gullible and naive is NOT an attack. It's stating the obvious and it's factual.

Secondly, again you ignore questions and points others make.
I know who Hersh is and I don't need you to copy and paste his bio.

Again, just because he says it does not mean it's true hence my initial comment. He has no proof and you cannot provide me with any proof. Hersh has been wrong a lot more than he has been correct with his rants and retarded statements. Go ahead and take his word for it because it fits within your small world but you will be sorely disappointed.

It does not matter if tortue sometimes works - we should not do it.

I can think of some really horrible things that could also get people to talk, but that doesn't mean their ok.

The end does not justify the means.

Yeah, you are correct but waterboarding is NOT torture.

I scanned this tread hoping someone would have pointed out that

THE LA ATTACKS WERE DEBUNKED

Yes that is right, there was no serious threat to LA and therefore saying torture prevented such an attack was nothing but MORE lies from the Bush Administration via the CIA.

The debunking of this story is, as the article states, a matter of chronology:

In a White House press briefing, Bush's counterterrorism chief, Frances Fragos Townsend, told reporters that the cell leader was arrested in February 2002, and "at that point, the other members of the cell" (later arrested) "believed that the West Coast plot has been canceled, was not going forward" [italics mine]. A subsequent fact sheet released by the Bush White House states, "In 2002, we broke up [italics mine] a plot by KSM to hijack an airplane and fly it into the tallest building on the West Coast." These two statements make clear that however far the plot to attack the Library Tower ever got—an unnamed senior FBI official would later tell the Los Angeles Times that Bush's characterization of it as a "disrupted plot" was "ludicrous"—that plot was foiled in 2002. But Sheikh Mohammed wasn't captured until March 2003.

How could Sheikh Mohammed's water-boarded confession have prevented the Library Tower attack if the Bush administration "broke up" that attack during the previous year? It couldn't, of course. Conceivably the Bush administration, or at least parts of the Bush administration, didn't realize until Sheikh Mohammed confessed under torture that it had already broken up a plot to blow up the Library Tower about which it knew nothing. Stranger things have happened. But the plot was already a dead letter. If foiling the Library Tower plot was the reason to water-board Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, then that water-boarding was more than cruel and unjust. It was a waste of water.

One intelligence official said nothing has changed to precipitate the release of more information on the case. The official attributed the move to the administration's desire to justify its efforts in the face of criticism of the domestic surveillance program, which has no connection to the incident.

Bruce Hoffman, a terrorism specialist who heads the Washington office of Rand Corp., said Bush's account adds some interesting detail to the Library Tower episode. But he said it still leaves key questions about the case unanswered.

"It doesn't really give us any more indication of whether this was a plot that was derailed or preempted, or a plot that was more in the realm of an idle daydream," Hoffman said.

Washington Post

Funny they used this plot to try to justify spying on americans too...

Yes it did help prevent the attacks in LA and in other cases.

To settle this all Obama has to do is release the memos that Cheney was talking about. Liberals always want freedom of information. Obama can release the memos and end any speculation tomorrow.

He will not release the memos because the White House wants to control the story and they can't win the argument.

If CIA asks one of the masterminds of 9/11 if another attack is coming and he just says,"soon you will see" then the operatives are faced with an either or situation. Either they get the information or american people could die.

Obama wants us to follow the Army Field Manuel which doesn't want you to give the terrorist any discomfort.

How are they supposed to protect the American people? Ask can they please get the information?

Liberals live in fantasy land and not the real world. In the real world you don't have the luxury to be self righteous when lives are at stake.

This is what liberals don't understand. When you appease these guys they will attack.

Look at Pakistan. The government there tried to appease the Taliban by making agreements with them and now they are on the move.

Obama and the liberals think they can reason with people who think it's their mission from God to destroy us.

So, Obama should release the memos but I bet he will not do it because he couldn't win the argument. Any person who is using common sense knows theory means nothing when you are faced with reality and peoples lives are in danger.
