Actually, in an earlier post of mine in this thread I suggested that a nice hand signed leather bound and boxed photo album of the Queens visit to the US would have made a better and more meaningful gift. The fact that Obama included two of his speeches on the Ipod I also find a little odd. She can delete them if she chooses I suppose.

Our MTV president still has much to learn about diplomacy, foreign policy and protocol. It doesn't take a blind man to see that.

A picture can speak 1000 words, but a video can give an entire speech.

The I-POD is a moot point. You're aruging it as some point of reference to teh credibility of Obama.

That might make sense at the Klan meetings.....but here when you're talking to people with an actual opinion, it really does not matter.

It's similar to the liberals who complained about Bush saying "nuklar"

If you have half a brain and know ANYTHING about iPods, you can partition so there is storage space with on the drive and anything can be on that additional partition (state secrets, codes, weapons diagrams, you name it!--maybe even conficker (LOL!)) But the file(s) can be encrypted with Apple's FileVault: docs.info.apple.com.../10.4/en/mh1877.html

They state: "FileVault uses the latest government-approved encryption standard, the Advanced Encryption Standard with 128-bit keys (AES-128)."

So what if there a few state secrets on there anyhow??--what's it gonna matter??

Okay your post is filled with ignorance. If you are so big on the Constitution you should know that this country was formed because people were tired of having to kiss up to the Queen and follow her stupid ass rules.

I wouldn't blame Obama one bit for having an ax to grind..we kicked their ass in the Revolutionary War and made our own country..who really cares about England anyway?

And honestly who the hell would want a damn picture of some old uptight pretentious bitty? Give me the iPod!

I personally am loving the klutzy way the Obamas come across.

1. With all their vaunted education and bogus up-by-the-bootstraps (actually courtesy of Affirmative Action) life stories, neither Obama has any hint of class at all. They are the products of their roots and learned no social skills while attending their respective institutions. Trailer trash with impressive but dubious credentials inhabiting the White House. That makes me SO proud to be an American.

2. They treat the Prime Minister of our closest ally shabbily, give him a set of DVDs as a gift (that he can't even view on standard UK equipment), give the Queen a gift of an IPOD, then get all touchy-feely with her. The Obamas are clueless and classless. What really gets me about that is that they have people on the staff who are PAID to deal with proper protocol. Where did their protocol people come from? A trailer park? I am SO proud of our First Family.

3. They send their own children to a private school, while making sure that the voucher program that allows lower-income children to attend the same high-quality school is cancelled, condemning those same lower-income students to be forced out into what is arguably the WORST public school system in the US. Why? To placate the teacher's labor union and feed them more taxpayer dollars? That gives me SUCH warm fuzzies.

Face it, we are dealing with a family that has fed on the Gravy Train all its life and finally hit the Big Time, and doesn't give a tinker's damn about the common man.

Barack can make pretty speeches from a teleprompter, Michelle can look pretty for the cameras, but they are classless trash, products of the Chicago Political Machine, who care nothing for us and are only in it for the power, money, and the Leftist Fascism they can inflict on this country and the people who they think they have grievances against. (After all, his Kenyan ancestors were abused by the British back in colonial times, weren't they? And white Americans mistreated blacks in the past, didn't they? Even though few, if any people alive today participated in those activities.) Does that maybe explain some of their behaviour? The politics of class warfare and racial hatred persist long beyond their useful lives, don't they?

The supposed President of ALL Americans appears to be anything but.

The Obama's are a step in the right direction. The trailer trash that just left the white house...now THAT was embarrassing! Why isn't anyone talking about the crap gift the Queen gave the Obama's - now THAT requires no thought!

Getting revenge for past events seems to be a big thing for Presidents...which is how we got to Iraq!

It said in the papers that its common knowledge that the Queen is a fan of I-pods.. so it does kinda make sense you'd get her something along those lines, I'd understand the comments if it had nothing on there but I think puttin pictures of her visits is pretty thoughtful!

Apparently the Queen loves her gift. An IPod is the best gift anyones ever bought her. She just can't stop dancing. Go Obama!!!!!!





Apple are apparently trying to sign her up to do the next IPod commercial. Can you imagine the royalties. No pun intended.

Gift: Something acquired without compensation.

I am confused as to why on earth the gifts Obama chooses to give people is news worthy or even discussion worthy for that matter. It does not affect anyone aside from the giver and the receiver. One should have gratitude for a gift received. The photos included added sentimental value to it.
