I'm laughing so hard I'm tearing up - did you read rabbit's post?

By my calcualtion 4,083 men died. 4,000 on the Nimitz. 76 in the Fighters. 7 in the spec ops dropship. Plus I was stuck in a dark cold sardine can running out of air. I think anyone would be angry.

lol I would be pissed if I were you too, like you said, being locked in a sardine can with your ears ringing and your flesh seared can't be a good time. I figured being in the command center, my character wouldn't have witnessed anything really first hand, so may not have a grasp yet on how huge an impact seeker's actions have had.

I like the way this is shaping up, the interaction between characters has been great so far.

I'm writing my way there!

I'm under the assumption Antar discovered the ransom note/received the information... mostly just because you issued the command for emergency meeting. Therefore I'm also assuming you hailed the rest of us with this update

Sounds good, I think Antar may have misinterpreted my Defensive Ops Officer position as taking command, something I will leave to others unless they desire me to lead.

I will act as Defensive Control as well as Offensive Weapons Tech unless someone wants to have that position. I figured we needed someone to prepare ships defenses as well as command assaults. It's quiet enough I think I can take on both at this point.

Interrex Captain loam is aware of his new duties and, no doubt, seriously considering his response at this moment.

I think we need to have the yydryl members get together in this thread just to make sure that everyone is on the same page, as of right now it seems skyfloating is assuming command, antar thinks scurvy is assuming command, but loam is apparently the interrim commander, either that or I'm extremely confused, lol

Will Nenothtu follow the captains orders and consider Colonel Studious rogue? Or will Neno join with the Colonel against Seeker? And why is the Captain protecting the enhancer?

Find out next time on...

Side Note: It's good to hear from the crew of the Yydryl again.

Mysterious disappearing people seem to be a theme here. First Fooks then Cadbury.

This IS the place to keep up on the twists and turns and it sure beats mass U2U's. Looking in and scanning the last couple of pages generally keeps me 'up-to-date'.

You can always count on me to answer U2U's, though.

I'm with you... I'm operating under my guess that Loam will be new captain when he introduces himself to us, Sky is taking over until loam is present, and Antar was simply acknowledging a rank of more authority than hers on a Rigellian starship.

Guys, nice writing, first and foremost. I'm loving this.

Second, sorry in advance if I threw a wrench in someone's plot arc. I thought I would shake things up a little. I suppose I underestimated how much shaking would be done.

Keep this up, and we've got a TV show.

The Dammit Jim, where is the doctor." Is a reference to McCoy's "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a....."

When the assistant says "Doctor Who", The w is capitalized because it is a reference to the British Television show by the same name.

Col Studious says:

"Dammit Jim, where's the doctor?"

and:

"Doctor Who?"

I'm wondering "who's on first base?"

ROFLMAO! Oh, it hurts, it HURTS! ROFLMAO

I am beginning to think that the loss and subsequent cover up of the Saratoga and Operation: Cold Harvest are related.

Maybe that is how the Centaurians got their sample of the nano-compound.

Just an idea.

I still want it to be some sort of chemical or biological agent. Perhaps the nanobots hide on the ship instead of inside the people, undetected. They then can release the agent that causes mind control while remaining hidden themselves. Spreading a plague of sorts that seems natural, biological but really is being spread by these little hidden robots.

Note:

I do KNOW that loam is the new man in charge. For drama measure I put myself in charge so that loam would have the dramatic opportunity to put my out of charge
