I think the protesters should moon the police and dump their garbage into the streets.

Is that what you do when you attend protests?

Anyone who does what you suggest would be used to discredit the Protesters and the cause and reasons for which they are protesting.

Nice try!

Cheers!

"n American example was in the 70's under our worst president, Mr. Carter, the tax rates were so high that it did not make sense for folks to work in many cases."

The last president with integrity enough to stand up the defense contractors and the Federal Reserve was Kennedy (I do not care a bit about his extramarital activities). While some of them since have accomplished minor changes, non of them has had the courage to stand up to the banksters (Fed, controlled from London) and attempt to issue our own currency.

The whole purpose behind all this corruption is population control. Big governments want an upper class citizenship only! Inflation proves it! Only the upper class can survive any more inflation. The only way for big governments to stay rich is to get rid of the poor. You will see more and more diseases and increased "Supposed Terrorist Attacks" that will be staged to create fear. But, forget about corrupted government for a second.... What about the natural disasters that seem to be picking up in intensity? They would NEVER warn us until it's too late if the end was coming! 2012 is some serius stuff!! Even if you don't believe it, the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place, and there's no denying it! A perfect example of government lies is CANCER! I have personally cured over a dozen people in a month or less. The cure is beginning to spread worldwide and soon, a new, more dangerous disease will be developed and unleashed to kill more of us off. It's all about money!! For the cure for cancer, go to www.thecrowhouse.com, and look for "A Cure For Cancer". Or you can look up "Miracle Mineral Solution", it's that simple! The sicker we are, the more money they make! Stock up on guns and ammo before it's too late!! If you don't, it's off to the FEMA camps for you!

All this protest against the political corruption which in turn has led to the economic crisis id a step in the right direction but we must also remember that there are also other dangers lurking beneath what we don't know.

That is that on the 13th of April 2029 there will be a massive meteor strike in area of the north and the black seas.
The 350m meteor is called the APOPHIS and will wreak havoc either that year or in the year 2036.
We must all alert the government officials and the scientists who are well informed of the existence of this meteor and plan ahead for this coming catastrophy.
If there is either the military personnels or the secret service here monitoring this site please alert your authorities before it's too late.

I emphasise that this coming catastrophe is immense in proportion and if it strikes, it will create another continent.

Quickly we must act now before its too late

Oh how sweet is the sound of social revolution...like music to my ears. Governments should be trembling in they're boots everyday. Every time they make a policy change or decide any sort of lare scale decision, we should be waiting on they're doorsteps with clubs.

Let the world revolt, let the people's voices be heard. It would be nice to remove violence from the equation, but unfortunetly there is always some form of descent at these events.

While I admire patriotism, this is the attitude that will lead to martial law.

Can you not see that the PTB want rioting, it gives them more power.

It won't be long before it happens here...

As these CEO's continue to rake in millions and people continue to experience layoffs, the sheer amount of anger will escalate out of control. It's only a matter of time.

This week, we had over 100,000 layoffs. If this continues to happen every week, we'll see rioting in just a few months.

In addition, the dollar will collapse at some point with all of these bailouts.

We're headed to absolute, complete chaos.

the more riots, the more control that is needed.
The more control needed, the less freedome you will have.

It's the vicious cycle that feeds itself and in turn will take away all freedoms.
You don't need martial law to lose freedoms, but once you get it there is no trning back.

Imagine not being able to go out after dark, not being able to meet in groups of more than 2 at a time, no standing on a street corner waiting for a bus without being questioned.

As much as people think how wonderful these riots and strike actions are, they are only succeding putting the noose tighter around every ones neck.

WOW! Many of you give the "Government" too much credit. Do all you really believe that government is collectively smart enough to orchestrate an event that would lead to anarchy resulting in martial law???
And THEN... be smart enough to have an effective plan that would round up all of the dissenters???

No, what is happening is way beyond their control and you can rest assured, they are scared s##tless over the prospect of what may be coming. Their little game is rapiudly unfolding and they have lost total control of the situation. These are the unintended consequences of their actions. Greed has blinded them to the point where they could not see beyond their clandestine activities to capture and control wealth and anticipate its consequences.

If they do not find a way to undo this, they will all end up paying a very serious price and I suspect that they are beginning to see this.

I hope we're not next.

Martial law is the last thing we need right now.

We don't need anarchy or a police state...

Now, where are all of those deniers that said that this was never going to happen?

[edit on 31-1-2009 by Frankidealist35]

I hate to say it but I think americans are way to lazy/complacent to ever do anything like these protests. No need for a police state when they can just use football and tv.

My guess is it's gonna take some time for the protest to reach the US.

I been to Europe and let me tell you there is absolutely no oppurtunities over there. Everyone seems to own a tourist shop or family run restaurant. The world economy is shrinking and nobody has money to go to Europe, which seem like there lifeline. I predict the business owners over there to go out of business quick, as we are seeing very angry people.

The US is pretty bad now, but it's going to take some more for us to be as bad as Europe.

Then you've obviously only seen the tourist trap Europe, and not the average lives of people who work in every kind of business across every nation.

If any of our close European neighbors are suffering Spain will be hardest hit. They draw tourism from the rest of Europe. The UK is probably one of their biggest markets, we have a tendency to go there because it's cheap, a short trip, great weather. The clubbers flock there in their millions every year.
Tourism is probably what keeps the Spanish coastal regions in business, but the rest of Europe doesn't rely on tourism for income.

If the protesters appeared nude, perhaps they would get more international coverage. This story has been ignored by the US press.
And yes I did actually participate in a riot once. I threw stones, shouted obscenities and was actually chased by police. (I outran them)

when martial law is declared they wont be rounding us up, the majority of the sheeple will flock to the FEMA camps voluntarily under the guise that these facilities will provide warm shelter and food. But when you get there, you will never leave. They will gas you, put you in plastic coffins 3 bodies for each coffin then burn you in an industrial oven.

under this presumption, these events must occur either with an extremely large scale (a dozen or more nukes) or the more likely event, a multitude of natural disasters that they know are coming due to the planetary alignment that is soon to occur and the natural effects the earth will go through to relieve the stress of this pull. (worldwide earthquake / volcanic eruptions....yellowstone blows...) People in my opinion are not going to blame the government but look to them to save them BECAUSE these NATURAL disasters by definition couldn't be their fault! no its not their fault but they knew about them, and planned to kill you with it.

I have to agree on this one.

Iceland caved and changed power, Brown has "condemned" the protests outside refineries in the UK.

This is beyond the control of any of the governments in Europe.

The damage that a rowdy protest causes is far beyond what some here realize. It puts economic strain on local services, policing, medical, etc. Any tourism to that nation is damaged. The government is internationally embarrassed. It risks further unrest.

I don't for one minute buy the whole NWO stuff, it makes absolutely no sense, and there is little or no evidence for any of it.
To suggest that they want people to protest to enable a NWO takeover is the epitome of nonsense.

They know people are angry, and they know that as more and more people feel it, more and more will have cause and reason to take to the streets.

They keep saying that this isn't their fault. But most actually don't care if it was bankers, law makers or a previous government to blame. Governments have allowed the safety and security of each nation to falter. They have allowed, either through greed, stupidity or inaction, for this to happen to all of us.
Existing government in the UK are to blame for giving bankers billions of £ without any safeguards on how it must be used. You'd think that if you were giving banks so much money to stimulate the economy, you'd have a few legal conditions, such as it must be given out in loans, or it must be invested in the UK only... but it seems they neglected this vital point!

It's bad governing, simple as that.

And America, I really am surprised at you. Where were the angry voices when Bank of America took a bailout and then invested billions of it in China? That's your money!

This is the only reason I think America hasn't seen protests yet, is laziness. I truly believe all your priorities are completely wrong. As long as it doesn't affect you directly it doesn't matter.

Well, it will do eventually. When unemployment reaches a certain point, and when more and more people are feeling it pinch, it will start.

The paranoia seems to run deep in here. There may be riots in the U.S. in the future...in fact, they should be expected. But they are not caused by some long ramp up based on policies, jobs or even hunger. They require a precipitous event, usually an unjust killing or individual brutality in the name of the "law". See Oakland recently over the BART cop shooting.

Currently the U.S. has the highest unemployment since the early '80s however it is not even particularly close to that period of time. Employment numbers have looked far worse in our recent past.

Looking at our most populous states:
California today: 9.3 1983: 11.0
New York today: 7.0 1976: 10.5
Texas today: 6.0 1986: 9.3
Illinois today: 7.6 1983: 12.9
Ohio today: 7.8 1983: 13.8

Remember all those riots over lack of work then? Me neither. In 1981, Ronald Reagan's first year in office, the U.S. average unemployment rate stood at 7.6%. During Reagan's presidency, it reached a high of 9.7%, and had declined to a level of 5.5% when Reagan left office. As of January's numbers, unemployment is at 7.2%. This is a 15 year high but we are not even close to the '82-'83 numbers. We aren't even close to the numbers in the '70's and it was high in both the early and late 1950's.

My wife was part of a federally funded work program in the mid-'70's (CETA) that really helped us and provided her skills that she continues to use well to our profit today. Stating that the government cannot create jobs is wrong; they can, they have and they will. But they are stop gap measures, not long term solutions.

The U.S. has the most charismatic leader since Reagan.
www.4marks.com...
Sound familiar? Obama's popularity based on poll numbers (belief that he will be a good to great President) is even higher than Reagan's when he came into office (65%-51%). We gave Reagan a chance and Obama will get that same chance.

To me it seems that there are too many doomsayers, too many that are too quick to give up on the America of our past, too ready to decry our history of success in difficult times, too ready to condemn in the face of adversity, too quick to judge based on a history that they do not know or have forgotten, and too many defeatists enabling the paranoid. There is a good-excellent chance that the U.S. will get through this as we have always done.

Americans have overcome far worse without resorting to violence, riots or overthrowing our government. And we will again through our faith in in a higher power, our leaders, and especially ourselves. More than anything, we never, never, never give up. And we will not do so now.

Really? How about Ron Paul as president, or a top advisor, along with Peter Schiff as the Treasury Secretary. How about several "real" Libertarians. How about they all sit back down, with the Constitution, and put the government back to where it should be, in line with the progress we have made over the past 200+ years. How about we have a new "framers" meeting, and remove parts such as this group of people is counted less, that way no one can ever say our founding document is antiquated. It is a living document, but it's core, the overwhelming amount of what is written must always be the basis of our government. Let's re-write the second amendment so that it is perfectly clear, even to a mad liberal, that the right to bears arm is the people's right, with NO infringement, period, and one of the basis for that right is to protect the people from a tyrannical government.
Or, let's leave the document alone, and add additional text to clarify some of the areas that obviously need updating. That's probably the better way to go come to think of it. Strip out all the Un-Constitutional amendments, and start from there. We can do it, it can be done, I'm tired of people saying if we got rid of all of them, what would we have.....I know we can figure this out but a good chunk of the country would get their hand-outs and entitlements cut out, and would actually have to be a productive part of society. The bottom line, good, honest, hard working people would prosper, and let the leeches and bottom feeders move *SNIP* or join some other socialist country.
Peace and Amen.

While the U.S.A. prepares for it's yearly orgy of needless Q1 consumerism (the Super Bowl), the rest of the world is in arms over our mutually declining economic prospects.

Should our European brethren get too far out of line and the troops roll out, we may not hear about it until Monday... unless it's in the half-time show.

How angry is the world?

England
France
Latvia
Iceland
Lithuania
Switzerland
Belarus
Bulgaria
Russia
Greece

All in the past two weeks. Anyone taking bets on the first declaration of martial law?

In the U.S. very little media coverage is given by the controlled media and press about the protests and in some cases riots in Europe. This media censorship I believe is done as to not stir up the populace of the U.S.

Reality will hit home to the masses in the U.S. after the partying atmosphere of the Super Bowl wears off that our country is truely in real trouble when it comes to the economy.

The disruption of the food supply for any prolonged length of time in the U.S. would be the beginning of civil unrest. Most Americans only know the food supply is from the grocery store and from hand to mouth.

If the truckers of this country get together both union or nonunion and strike or for what ever the reason stop deliveries it would shut our economy down until the military could step in to make deliveries, but that would be utter chaos and unrest would still continue. We The People would be babies without a bottle because most individuals do not grow their own food in the U.S. If the babies do not have their bottles you know the rest of the story.

The reason Americans don't take to the streets is simply that it is still in the honeymoon phase with the NEW SUPER President. All that is wrong in America is Bush's fault, but SuperBama is going to solve it he just hasn't had time yet, silly!

But he does have "A Plan" (tm Rahm Emanuel - see book on Amazon", and he said "YES we CAN", so ofcourse we can. And Americans are arrogant and believe they are not as liable to fall apart as other countries despite history.
