Last time I watched some porn I don't remember seeing anyone holding a gun to these girl's heads. Stop being so narcissistic and accept the fact
that some people have different levels of social-acceptance than you

I hadn't yet checked through all of the links in the OP, but I think many people can have issues of having been exploited, especially children
growing up in and around the industry.
Many porn stars like other more popular?...actors etc. have issues about losing popularity, attractiveness in work and income. Porn stars most likely
at the bottom.......financially, I would think. Since porn stars are actors etc. I would think they would have some connection.
I came across a site dedicated to the porn stars who have died and the list usually will tell what they died from. I suppose that may have changed
some with current medications idk. But I suppose many forced into prositution go unnoticed except possibly for death statistics etc.
It gets boring and tiresome as well as relationships, but easier to get back in touch with (well). Losing your labido at middle age is scary at
first, but just like everything, moderation and acceptance is the key to longer and better health and survival. They have pills for that now and too
bad they don't have it for those with way too much who lose their....hair over it. I've heard they put something in the water in prisons? idk
I've been celibate for around 5 years. (whatever that means) Real relationships are way too stressful, dramatic and expensive. Even a companion, wife
etc. might feel like an underpaid, overworked and worn-out old porn star.

I was once told, when you get married , put a pillow case on the bottom of the bed, and every time you make love, add a stone to the case, do this for
a year, then the next year every time you make love, remove a stone, what is left in the case is an indication of boredom in your marriage or sex life
if you will.
Anyhow, I do get some of the OP points, however, not everyone is the same, in fact you would be hard pushed to find any two people with exactly the
same wants, needs, or interest, I'm certain there are aspects of the Porn industry which are nasty and immoral, that is to say what is revulsion to
you or me, is not for others, I have lost friends because of some video or other they had on their phone, I just didn't or wouldn't accept someone
being shot in the head as being funny or entertaining, yet it is classed as Pornography because of the content and nakedness or acts involved, sure it
was all fake but still not acceptable to me, because they hung around with my family and kids, and really I don't want that kind of personality
around me at anytime.
So it comes down to the individual, to often we have heard the excuse, I only downloaded child porn for research, or I disagree with porn, I've
watched a lot of it to see what it was about and I think its disgusting ETC, if that was true you wouldn't have gotten past the first 5 mins of any
tape, never mind watching several tapes or video's.
Like everything else, in moderation it has its place, but while there is demand for the really sick crap, then there will always be a supplier, the
way I see it is, the more perverted, the harder to find, the harder people look, and there are a lot of really sick depraved people out there.
I cant comment on the actors, because I don't know any, but I do firmly believe it has a place, even if it is just to keep those who didnt have
access to this material from going and hurting someone, through porn they have an outlet without the harm to others, like prostitution, if it didnt
exist, would people go out and rape to satisfy their urges?
A lot of it needs to be banned, and the rest of it is needed, where to draw the line? because someone looks like they are in pain does not mean they
are not having fun.

One of the best threads I've read recently. S/F and you've got my props for this. As human beings we follow our instincts and sex is one of them but
for all of us who sometimes like to watch porn, this thread should be a strong reminder that what is enjoyable for us as watchers, is so painful and
humiliating for the performers. If there is no buying force then this industry will cease to exist. In this crazy times we live at all of us wait for
the change to come from skies. We pray to God, ask for help, ask for mercy without realizing that in each of us there is a force that can make the
change. And all together can stop this madness called pornography. Now and on every time I'll see a porn scene I'll have in mind the words I have
read in those links posted by cybertroy. And I know it wouldn't be the same and actually it shouldn't. It so far from being human building your
pleasures over other humans sufferance and pain.

there is consent between two adults and they get paid handsomely for what they do.

Porn is demeaning to everyone involved but we have people on this site saying you would be simply a religious right-wing hate mongering... for pushing
your thoughts on them.

Every single thing on the silver or small screen is contrived on one level or another.
Excluding cases of out-and-out exploitment--that is, the person is forced at gunpoint, not just that they took the role because they were poor--the
actors in a porno know that.
I don't think that "It's not real, loving, sex" is a good argument. It's porn. It's not about love, it's about filming a sex act.

Sexual boredom, people doing bizarre things for pleasure. It boils down to this, you are probably having/had troubles with your relationships and
troubles with yourself if you have to be overly rough, abusive, or take abuse to get your jollies off. Of course the Psychiatrist says, "Oh, we're
all different in our desires." Instant justification for downright crazy stuff. Some people do freakin' things like cut and mutilate themselves to
"get off." That's how insane sex has become to some people.
Let me clarify things with my history in porn watching. I don't recall anything really all that good coming from watching porn. The times I have
watched it, many times, I have not been a good person to be around. I have taken paths I shouldn't have taken. Desires became more bizarre. The
more I watched, the more I got into weirder stuff.
Porn was something I sometimes turned to get my fix, so I could feel some "happiness." It gave me a "fix," you might say, usually followed by
regret. Porn did nothing to help me. It just helped dig the hole deeper.
I know what I have seen in those films, facial expressions don't lie. Some of those girls did not want to be in those films.
Porn desensitizes you, the more you watch it, the more you can become desensitized. Before you know it, the most insane things seem "normal."
I can no longer go back to porn, I would be supporting outright insanity, doing so.
I am building more and more love and respect for my fellow man (and ladies), and they love me back. Porn isn't love. Porn many times shows a hatred
toward women. It's unacceptable as entertainment.
I'm as horny as the next guy, believe me, but porn doesn't belong in my sex life anymore.

It sounds like your looking for something in porn that isnt there.
A lot of people dont like their jobs. Im sure in the porn world there are many who dont either.
For all the porn degrading women there is just as much degrading men. Like any other business they produce what people want, no matter how kinky/weird
you think it is. The actors know what they are signing up for. They get paid money for doing a relative easy job. Sure there are drug addicts in the
industry but im positive there are people on drugs or drunks where you work. Whats the difference?
Just because it involves sex you have a bias against it.
I really dont see the big deal.

Nope. You're being far too righteous. Porn isn't bad so long as :
1) No one is being hurt (more than they ask for!)
2) No one is doing anything aganist their will or doing anything to someone against their will.
So long as those ideals are being maintained, what's the problem? Porn is great! It's healthy, fun, and great to watch.
As for the people in the industry, of course there are those who ARE abused or forced into it by nefarious means. Sure there are people in it who
abuse others -- but that's no different than other social situations like families with alcholics, abusers, etc. I'm not justifying that behaviour
-- merely saying it exists everywhere are is not isolated to porn, nor does porn make it happen elsewhere.
Also, there's LOADS of people in porn who DO love it and do profit from it and have no qualms with the work they do.
At the end of the day, it is just a job. It has nothing to do with "love" or whatever else you were bleating on about in your moan. Porn's good!

When you watch a porn, this is what you pretty much see, a pretty smiling girl covered in man goo. She smiles, but much of the time it's fake.
You think she enjoys this. You don't see the pain, well actually you might if you actually took the time to look at some of the girls faces, or in
their eyes, when they momentarily are "out of character." You can see pain, maybe even emotions like fear. I actually noticed this in some of the
films in the past.
Doing research, huh?
This is not a one line post.

Oh come on really? That poor, poor woman paid thousands of dollars too have sex? Billions of women do it every day for free! Hell, if I got paid a
grand every time I had sex, I'd be, hmm, probably a millionaire by now, no joke, and mostly with the same two people. Hell I've probably made a
million off of each one if I got paid like these "poor" porn stars do.

How badly am I supposed to feel for these porn actors and actresses? They made a choice to make these types of movies. No one forced them to do it. I
have known MANY porn actors and actresses in my lifetime and one thing I can tell you for fact....
They may not enjoy making the films, but they sure don't mind cashing their paychecks afterwards. Many MANY pornstars use their profession to work on
the adult circuit. They work in strip clubs as "featured entertainers" getting paid thousands of dollars to do 4-6 "feature shows" on stage. Then
taking pictures and selling merchandise to strip club patrons. Average income from this? Well depending on the "feature" the price can vary. I can
tell you for a fact that Jenna Haze makes $6000 from a club to work one weekend. Doing 6 shows in a 3 day span. This does not include what they make
in tips and merchandise sales.
And you want me to feel bad for them for the choices that they made?? Not likely.

You're forgetting, many people only watch porn for the articles.
Seriously though, even though I scarcely watch it since getting married years ago, I always have to laugh when I hear someone trying to paint porn
stars as victims. Most every starlet I've seen interviewed has admitted that they entered the industry willingly, and with dollar signs in their
eyes. Most of them even say that the old "all porn actresses were sexually abused as children" stuff is no longer the case. Sex has become less
taboo and more 'OK' as time has passed and with women like Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick going from porno to mainstream celebrity status it has
become a legitimate profession in the eyes of the average American.
It seems that you're trying to take a niche of the industry, called 'gonzo' porn, and apply it across the entire porn business. Gonzo can be
pretty sick and twisted and the argument can be made that it is degrading and even dangerous, possibly fueling predators who might watch it. At least
that argument has enough merit to be discussed, but to try and paint the entire industry with that brush is pretty narrow minded.
