That's socialism and rampant immigration at work for you.

Less jobs and socialized rules that prevent proper investigation lead to bad consequences. U.K.! Wake up! Look after yourself before its too late!

And vote in the death penalty.

Razor blade, blowtorch, salt, lemon juice rubbing alcohol, broken glass and gasoline. And that's just for the ones that looked away. The "Parents" need a fate far worse than torture far worse than death. something involving removal of flesh slowly for months on end. That might come CLOSE to what they deserve.

Hate begets hate...its is truly sickening, but wishing even more evil things against the perpetrators makes you no better.Let them have a fair trial in Britain and the courts will give them what they deserve, years in prison, hopefully until the end of their days.

Prison just means a cot and food and not having to worry aobu how to pay your bils. They don't treat prisoners like they should be treated anymore.

Im shaking with anger and sorrow, just at reading the snippet in the OP...

All I can think about is how this tiny child must have felt when the only people he loved were striking him. How terrible. It makes me weep in empathy... I just want to barge in and rescue him with the embrace that I am certain he was longing for. It sickens me that he knew no respite; that it is too late now.

He was so helpless!

Not human. These are not humans... They do not deserve basic rights. I cannot even begin to imagine... This should not even be possible...

My God that ruined my happy day. The parents should get life in prison or worse. How could anyone do this to a precious child? Not much makes me tear up anymore, but this did. Nothing makes the tough guy facade go out the window quicker than an atrocity committed against a child. I pray (some will scoff) this child is in a better place, and that the 'mother' and stepfather get what's coming to them. I could never do something like this to another human being, let alone my own flesh and blood. I am usually the type to say turn the other cheek, but in this case I say an eye and an ear for one.

I would imagine that they treat baby abusers in the UK the same way they do here in the US. They will have no peace (deservedly) and be abused themselves. With luck they will be kept alive for a LOOOOOOONG time!!

Whilst we don't have penalty of capital punishment, you can be assured that word will get out to the residents of whatever wing they end up on and the debt owed to li'l P paid in full

It is truly a sad story, and it seems to keep happening. This is a case that is going on here in New Zealand at the moment.

Young Witness Tells Court Of Violence Towards Nia Glassie

All three male accused stood watching and laughing as Nia was spun on the wire clothesline until she fell off and on another occasion put in the clothes dryer which was turned on high. "She goes round and round. Her head gets hot and she starts to bleed. We ran a bath for her to cool down."

I really am lost for words regarding these crimes.

from the news article:

Police twice asked for cross-agency meetings but, in the week before Baby P's death, Haringey's lawyers said there was not enough information to begin care proceedings.
I don't doubt that workers in the field are bogged down with heavy case loads and all, but the bureaucracy is at fault, and especially the lawyers, for allowing this abomination to happen.
Instead of erring on the side of caution - intervening when signs first appeared everyone is hampered by fears of lawsuits.
Its just sick!
I hated reading this article, but people need to know its happening.
I worked in social services for a long time, but found that it was just too fraught with examples of bureaucratic nonsense. The only people who survive in the field are those who can turn their emotions off and get hardened. The whole thing ends up ineffective.
Meanwhile children die.
I can't begin to express my sorrow, and anger.

Damn....

That is low...

I'm lost for words, my mind can't comprehend this..

At least the poor child is no longer suffering, and I HOPE that these sick, demented bastards will suffer daily torture at the hands of other offenders.

I suggest you do a quick news search of abused infants. There are more in the US than in the UK, though it's probably pretty even per capita.

There's no need to point fingers. You can't blame immigrants. Everyone has been an immigrant at some point in their family history and you can hardly slate anyone for wanting to have a better life. Try not to be selfish and uncharitable.

We don't have the death penalty here... Whether for right or wrong.

Killing these sick bastards wouldn't solve anything anyway... They need to be reminded on a daily basis just exactly what sub-human, scum bags they are.

I would be cautious about calling for 'social services' to be given increased powers each time a gruesome story like this surfaces. The chances are that any extra powers handed to social services to meddle will be misused anyway-and end up victimising innocent families.

I don't believe in God,Allah, Boedha or whatever but i just now prayed to all of them to give me strenghts and wisdom to understand this. I'm starting to lose more and more faith in humanity....

Maybe it would be better al together if it would end for all of us. This is US ,people, mankind!!!

No hope...........

There were many 'care professionals' who's hands this child passed through, yet none dared put career on the line and take direct action. Cross-agency meetings would have solved nothing, because those who entered the profession saw this child not as a child, but merely another case-file

Just to go off on a tangent from the OP for a moment here...

Unfortunately I can imagine both Brown and Cameron seeking to capitalise on this awful event for a wider political purpose

The cry of "If only there had been a unified NHS/DSS/RSPCA/DNA & criminal database this never would have happened" will go up, knee-jerk legislation made, and the next step toward the ID card database plan taken

As a parent I am utterly horrified at this, hell, as a human I am utterly horrified by this.
Was anyone else as disturbed as me about the dad? I mean, he HAD the baby the weekend before he died. Saw HIS SON'S injuries and gave the baby back to his mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The baby starts acting out and screaming for his daddy and all the man does and say goodbye one more time? I am mortified that you have to get a permit to drive a car but any idiot with primal urges can have a baby. I mean, as a father, how do you not lose you mind on the mother and the sick freak living in your baby's house after you see your child in that shape? Really? I am sick.
