Experience in College. And I am 100 percent Serious, still sticks out in my mind to this day.

For one school year ( Sophmore year, approximately November- July) I worked at a Stop and Shop in Narragansett Rhode Island.

I lived close by and would walk to work, or home on certain days. Exiting on pretty big plot of grass that sat next to the parking lot.

I would walk through the middle of the of the plot.

2 years later

My Senior year of College, still living in Narragansett (not working at Stop and Shop, but shopped there for food constantly while at URI), I remember driving one day past Stop and Shop, down the road that led to my former house. I looked at the Plot, and saw a small graveyard (a dozen to two dozen graves). I was shocked.

Here's the thing.

About 2-3 of my housemates, didn't remember seeing the Graves ever. One other person just noticed the graves (before our conversation) and again, didn't remember them being there before.

The rest remembered the graves.

So who knows. I walked through that field/ plot numerous times. Never walked on a tomb stone. Then bam, graves. This was circa 2003/2004 (when the graves appeared). And please note, they were aged, not new.

Perhaps they were transplanted graves from a cemetary that, for one reason or another, had to be vacated.

You find ist odd that someone understands the limitations of anyone's ability to encompass the universe. And says so.

In defiance of simplistic vanity.

You know, people have been SURE of their grasp of the Universe and their place in it. So far, that tactic has led to most of the worst attroctities ever performed on our planet.

But I"m SURE that the person who wrote a book that appealled to your need to think you are the center of the Universe didn't just write a book they knew from several thousands of years of human endevour, would appeal to people's vanity for the sake of making a buck.

I'd trust someone who understands they have limitations over someone who claims super powers any day of the week.

I'd trust someone looking for the answers LONG before I trust someone who claims to have all the answers.

Seriously though, what is the purpose of the universe? Why was it made? Why is the universe the way it is?

So far, many people have been sure they've answered those questions and in doing so nothing good has come of it.

Perhaps holding yourself aside from needing to define the Universe and just letting it be what it is while you allow yourself to witnessing it unfold is will give you your answers.

The more we learn about the universe and life in general, the more questions we have and the more it seems like we could not truly figure out everything.

Not even close. I feel sorry that you think key of the universe can even be understood by your brain. The universe is a lot bigger than simply a human thinking positive. It's beyond your imagination, the key to everything can't be written in a book.

I like how you claim to know that 'the secret' isn't the 'key to the universe' yet you also don't have any idea.

I have no idea because WE CAN'T have any idea!

If a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound? You'd prob think there is a yes or no answer and there ISN'T! That's the whole point of the question! The key to the universe is just one of those questions! They can't be answered! THAT'S THE POINT! That's why we ask those questions!

This is like kindergarten level knowledge I have to explain to you here.

Uh no, you don't have to explain anything to me. I'm saying that you're telling that person that they're wrong when you don't know you're right. Like you said, you have no idea.

Also, I'm not arguing as I don't really care.

Wow freaking awesome story...now that's a big change, that's the kind of thing I wish I could experience...with me it's just small things.

Also I have to say to the Poster about the Patrick Swayze thing...another awesome story, being that it involved TEN people...wow!!!!!! In my timeline this is the first time he's died. But, it is the summer of death too. Micheal Jackson, Farah Fawcett, Sen. Kennedy, Patrick Swayze, the golden girls chick that died twice as far as I know in my memory, I feel like I am missing some more, but hasn't it been one weird summer????

This is very interesting. Could you maybe post a satellite picture of that lot?
I was intrigued enough to have a look and I saw a smaller plot (near the main road) fenced off inside the bigger grass lot that you mentioned (I think it's the same you mentioned), and it has small "dots" of some sort inside (tombstones?). But I don't know how to post such pictures here.

Anyway I was thinking, could it be that the graves were excavated during your absence? I mean, maybe it's a historic (archeological) site of some sort.

I must say though, I don't think everyone is taking this thread seriously. And speaking for myself, I prefer people who openly say so instead of mocking others.

But maybe it's just a false impression. If so, I am sorry.

Possibly, but again during that time frame I was at URI every year, down in Narragansett, during that time frame. I worked at the Stop and Shop for a year, then across the way for a year at a few of the restaurants....

I also spent a lot of the summers down there during that time as well (my ex's parents have a beach house). I never recall seeing a digging operation going on.

Also, it was odd, that half of my senior year housemates had a similar experience with the graves, and half swore they were always there. One in fact had the same occurrence happen, in that he noticed the graves days before I brought it up at the house, and was just as shocked.

Again to recap, during the 2001 year, they were not there. I walked through the field. But they popped up, during the 2004 year.

Must note, I'm an odd fan of graves/ grave yards. In that if I ever stumble upon graves, tombstones I make a note to check out the names and years. If I was walking through that field, I would have noticed them, and looked at the years (circa 2001), never did...

I was actually shocked when I first saw them in 2004...

So, let me get this straight (sorry if I sound slow
): this sighting didn't happen the FIRST time you drove or walked by the plot after your return (in 2004)? It just appeared overnight?

Because what I thought was that you had not seen that plot in two years and that you noticed the graveyard the *first* time you drove/walked past that plot after having been away from the town for two years. (Which is why I thought that maybe they had excavated a site during your absence.)

If so, yes, that is extremely wierd.

Yeh, I do that too.

I support a board for this subject.

That way things that are potentially traceable media screw ups or intentional misinformation vs. personal accounts or multiple people remembering an event that no longer exists in the public record can be tracked.

You have to be aware that there are a certain number of people who will be ....jerks?.... about a subject like this. Jerking people's chains.

Then there are the people who legitimately have an interest in the subject.

Some memory issues will be due to people mixing up different people presented in the news - particulary people who are tied together in some way in people's memories.

Some things will be public relations or press release screw ups that could probably be traced.

Other things will be real common points of public memory that can no longer be traced in the public venue, even though there are multiple people who rememeber it.

Then there will be people who have real or made up personal stories.

Sifting out the people who jerk your chain, and the people who just have bad memories is the challenge with realistically looking at the commonality of these experiences in the populace.

you know what's really crazy is that somedays seem to go by really slowly and some days seem to go by really quickly...As well as weeks. When I feel that, other people feel it too. So it's not just my having a really boring week, or having a really busy week where it flies by....there's something more to it because other ordinary people feel it too. I wonder what it could be? And some days, I get one or two deja vus. What could this be?

Yes I do feel this way, so much so I had been considering posting a thread myself, but I couldn't figure out what was going on enough to know what to ask. However after reading the OP, its enough for me. We had some fckd up wierd weather today, like most ferocious thunder storm in over half a year but asides from the cookier that cooky weather of late, some wierd #s been going on with the time. I thought 'i must be being silly' coz they just put that new tv show on here 'fastforward' about the mass lapses in time, and thats exactly what it feels like. anyone else have any idea where the last month went??? like a blink and it had passed...but the other really wierd thing is that the cooky number stuff i usually see on clocks has been going mental lately, like 2:22, 3:33, 02:02, 12, 12 and also 432 & 777 in other places, but the wierd new numbers are like, 2:12, 3:23 then 4:34 in sequence on the same day, & lots of other numbers like 9:19 where the two outer numbers are the same...but somethings definately been odd of late thats for sure...
