Eh. Not a big goof.
My index finger is STILL shorter then my ring finger.
And I still cant tell if I fit the study.
What the study showed was that lesbian women also tended to have the more "masculine" arrangement - that is, they had shorter index fingers.
hmmmmmmm. Well, im certainly a chic who loves men.
All very interesting though.

Raising my shorter index finger to salute yours GreeneyedLeo
I find it all interesting including how hormones in the womb, even a tad elevated OR a tad under seem to influence such tiny things as finger length,
as well as bigger things such as brain size in the 2 different brain hemispheres etc.

So I guess you can deduce from these findings that if your constantly flipping the bird at people,You not only can't communicate effectively, your
reaffirming that you really suck at math as well.

In my particular instance my index finger is shorter than my ring finger. Let it be known that I'm a male for the record. One unusual thing about
my hands is that the fingers are relatively short in proportion to the rest of the hands. In other words what I have isn't so much hands as actually
mitts or paws if you will.
Edited to add:
If I understand things correctly having a index finger shorter than your ring finger means that your more aggressive? Hmm, actually I'm not all that
aggressive. I must be a fluke. I'll need to study this more.

I have similar finger ratio, except my ring finger is a bit more short compared to the middle finger, also my fingers appear longer, or yours might be
thicker, hard to say.

Very cool thread. This is the kind of stuff I like to read on ATS. Elections, not so much.
BTW - ring finger just barely shorter than the index. Love logic, hate math.

Um, no offense or anything, but what kind of freak would have a ring finger that is as long or longer than their middle finger?

A quick look at the lengths of children's index and ring fingers can be used to predict how well students will perform on SATs, new research
claims.
And all this time I thought the best indicator of how well a student might do on the SATs was Study Habits and past/present education.
There is also another study that claims the Rotation (Clockwise/Counter) of the hair on your scalp might be able to indicate personality traits
aswell.

LOL cardinalfanUSA I agree with you, that would be a freak indeed! I made a mistake in the opening post I meant to say a ring finger longer then
the index finger
So many fingers and calculations in the articles and so little brain cells here

Hiyah Deson...
I think that's only for females, who's ring and index finger are usually equal in length...but I think if the male's index finger is significantly
shorter then the ring finger, they have a higher level of testosterone Which, usually means they have a tendency to go bald as well,
testosterone level that is

it's based on the amount of difference between the middle and ring finger
the middle finger is longer on most people... the closer they are in males =agreesive . and prone to earlier deaths
the more in females=testosterone
theres also the symmetry factors to take into account...

Hi, All.
Very interesting thread. Well, I tested myself and my ring finger and index finger are so close that it's hard to tell even with a measuring tape
because I have long nails. But, if one is longer then it is the ring finger just by a tad. I'm female btw, in case anyone didn't know.
I would describe myself as a girly girl in some ways (i.e. loves shopping, fashion, yakking), but I do carry some masculine traits such as not mincing
words and having mostly male friends. Haha I call it being straightforward but others have described it as aggressive and disarming...oh well!
To LateApexer - You sound like a really cool chick! But I'll be honest and say that from your posts I thought you were a man - LOL. No disrespect
intended; in fact the same thing happens to me on here constantly.
To Vanitas - I'm interested in your "hands are the windows to the soul" theory. Care to read my soul via a picture of my hands? Or do you have to
see them in person?
