Don't worry, it will all be over in a couple weeks.

Then we can start talking about next season!

Vigorous :applause: :applause: and well stated, as per.

I too am at a loss to understand why people watching people chase balls around is of any interest. Let alone something to get emotional about. My issue is not so much with the obsoleteness of the players skills, but with the fans who are so ready to embrace a group-think us vs. them mentality. It freaks me out as I beleve it is a microcosm example of a much larger issue that permeates our culutres and is the cause of so much suffering and unnecessary violence (the us vs. them thing).

Having said all of that, if you have money on the game, that's different. I am a gambler and can understand having a vested interest in the outcome under those circumstances. (I play the ponies

Never... that was totally a joke. I'm not that crazy to make a prediction such as that.

We enjoy it because it's entertainment.

It's no different than people enjoying reading or watching movies or listening to music. It's what makes people happy, and that's all that should matter.

I don't question why my wife gets so into her television shows, or the novels she reads.

I don't really care - I just like being awkward and having arguments.

Now if there were more REAL football followers (soccer to the heathens) then you might see some sparks fly.

Sadly, at the moment there is only s-dog and he doesn't count because he "supports" chelsea.

As far as I know, all other football fans on here are fellow Liverpool Fans, with our long and proud history, The Kop and the legendary Bootroom where a group of disparate individuals formed the most formidable coaching and management team in the history of the beautifull game.

At least he's not making you wear gold/black garters while waving around matching pom-poms. That might be a bit much.

I agree, the NFL doesn't hold a candle to a good soccer game.

Cristiano Ronaldo is as good excuse as any to watch a match.
