Translation: You don't want to humiliate me so badly that I leave fight club or ATS, so at least I should have a topic I agree with going for me.

Horses vs. Bicycles it is, and now I wish I hadn't already given you a debating point to use!

Good...Bicycles vs. Horses.

Should be an easy win for you...

Side-Note:

Debating in this Forum is having positive effects on my real-life business. You learn how to argue a point, negotiate a point, gather information and look at stuff from all angles.

It's a great mental exercise, there's no doubt about it.

Id prefer not to do a debate in which you start out in the underdog position.

You're a bad bad man.

Heike, dom't let him psych you out.

SchroDog:

After several years of working with animals one way or another (vet tech, rescuer, etc.) I've learned that the dog who comes straight at you barking and growling is usually not a real threat.

The one to be afraid of is the one that walks over quietly, head down and tail wagging gently ... then takes you down when you aren't expecting it.

Wait what, are you insulting Sky or Sdog?

Sheesh! I wasn't insulting anyone, I was making an analogy. But it's no good if I have to explain it.

Not that I think Sky was trying to psych anybody out, but I do think it is a good idea to get some practice arguing sides you disagree with.

It will happen in the tournament, and when it does, it will be something you are strongly against that you can't imagine standing up for (or vice versa)

I'm thinking that could be interesting too. Pick a partner, pick a topic, pick your sides, then swap sides and debate ... knowing that your opponent actually agrees with your argument but has to argue the other side as you argue "his" side.....

Of course its a good exercise to argue the opposite side. Its the basis of "expanding your mind" and walking in other peoples shoes. In fact, its fantastic.

my last 4 debates Ive been arguing stuff I dont believe in though, so I do need a break from it

I'm still stuck with guests.

I'll post as soon as I can, but I'm willing to forfeit should sdog run short of patience.

My deepest and profound apologies guys - but the realworld will insist on intruding.

Budski, please don't stress about the debate. Do your thing and post when you can.
Unless of course this is your way of conceding the fact that I'm whipping you like a rented mule.

Cheers mate.

Whipping me?

I thought it was the other way round.

One single argument only, becomes a bit tedious after a while!

Leaping indeed

At least the guests are partial to the odd beverage - otherwise I think I WOULD have strangled them
