Thats why you get interns to do the monkey work for you. YOu got a college in your town right? Make the kids do it.

I hear you buddy, doing work at ungodly hours that a monkey could just as easily do is apparently part of my job description.

But then for some reason it seems like when I'm at work during regular human hours that I'm the only only who can do my job.

Hmmm...

There are several fighters looking for challenge matches right now.

I think Skyfloating and Heike are for sure, and there may be some more too. Browse back for a few pages and take a look, I think there are some standing open challenges if your interested.

sorry to hear that
and working at such an ugly hour with anger inside doesn.t make it easier as far as i know

can.t take the anger away but i am sending a big hug to you.

most times the monkeys who pretend to be boss don.t really get the full overview!

***

for ranting:
had to pick up my son from school
he freaked out coz some kids told him that they don.t want him at school
even though the teacher tried to sooth the situation nobody wasn.t able to talk to him

it is fun being mom of a future teenager

I very much like:

horses (heike) vs. bicycles (SF)

Experience (SF) vs. Knowledge (Heike)

Mountains (Heike) vs. Beaches (SF)

Country (SF) vs. City (Heike)

Pick the one that most resonates with you.

Kids learn through situations like that! It will either make him stronger or teach him to trust no one!

So either way its good... sort of!

Just my 2 cents here, but I'd like to see an Experience v Knowledge debate.

The possibilities there are great!

Im excited about that too. Ive always been biased toward "experience" and antagonistic towards knowledge (one of the reasons I signed up at ATS, in fact). So if Heike thinks she can defend education/knowledge it would make for an interesting debate.

How about this for a topic?

"In The Real World, Common Sense Is Far More Valuable Than Overall Knowledge"

Something to get your teeth into

I'll second that as a great topic.

I'd love to see that.

but i have to handle it!

guess it is more the situation that me and his dad get divorced
even if we are seperated for more than 2 years now
it will be the first christmas (due to a fight) that his dad won.t be with us at christmas eve.

i don.t want him to lose his trust in mankind.
he is a very friendly character and i hope he will remain this way!

Sky,

Well, you picked the side I wanted for all of them except horses vs. bicycles.
Perhaps we can save that one for a rematch. It would be a fun one I think, especially if done in a more light hearted manner like the skirmishes are.

( I can see it now - Sky's first line: Bicycles don't leave piles of poop in the road!! )

There seems to be some interest in the "Common Sense vs. Knowledge" debate. I would ordinarily take the Experience/common sense side myself, but .. I need to get some practice at debating the side I don't necessarily agree with, anyway, if I'm to be in the next set of tournaments. So ..

I will accept the Con side for either:
"In The Real World, Common Sense Is Far More Valuable Than Knowledge"
or
"In The Real World, Common Sense Is Far More Valuable Than an Education"

Id prefer not to do a debate in which you start out in the underdog position. I`d like you to choose a side you feel completely comfortable with.

I think the bicycle vs. horse debate could be very funny and light-hearted. We can save the experience vs. knowledge one for another time.

Sound good?
