Just look around there's the patriot act and the Homegrown Terrorism bill. At every DUI checkpoint I have gone through I have been pulled out of my car and searched illegally. I don't even drink. There's a new thread about how they can take your laptops and ipods from you at airport security.

There are to many things going on right now for me not to see that their police state agenda is almost here.

And all of this to protect us from terrorists. Yeah right the real terrorist is our government.

1.) Airlines are privately owned businesses (which you probably knew that already)
These airlines support the indoctrination of the added security features in thier business and rely on the govt to carry them out.

Checking your laptop and IpOd is no different than being video taped and having your voice recorded when 'stepping into these premises' (i know you've seen those signs before)

1.) If you have nothing to hide, whats the big deal?

I have nothing to hide, but why the hell would I just say "okay big bad government go ahead and search my stuff I don't care. You can even come into my home and go through everything there too. Your protecting me from "terrorists" so I don't care if you invade my privacy."

As for protecting us from "terrorists" they are not. The terrorists are not nearly as great an enemy as the media would have you believe.

Come on one terrorist attack (911) Which we don't even know for sure if that was even done by terrorists.

It's pretty much the stark reality of whats going to happen. I didn't sign up to kill anyone. I'm just willing to face the facts. I have six years on my contract. We'll probably be in Iran before then and i'm a infantrymen. What do you think i'll be doing? Reality is a real slap in the face. Especially when i'll be the one witnessing the death and the brutality. And you'll be here typing how wrong it is and how "soldiers like me" are bad news.

Can a laptop be a weapon? yup, sure can. You can make a bomb out of anything. Im sure before 9/11 nobody ever thought you could hijack an airplane with a ******* box cutter either, but we were proved wrong. Im sure nobody ever thought that 747's could be turned into giant flying bombs with psychopaths piloting them. But we were proved wrong.

Be mad at Bush if you want to be mad at Bush - but if any liberal were in office on the date of 9/11, they would have done the same damn thing.

Also - the govt doesnt invade your home unless you're suspected of terrorist activity. How is that any different from police invading your home when youre' suspected of Drug activity?
