Obama's Pastor Blames America for 9-11

I couldnt find anything about a traumatic incident in his pastor's past. He was in the US Marines, then the US Navy. A number of degrees and held numerous positions in various organizations. A very sucessful person. Yet I dont find anything to justify his behavior.

To me from what Ive read, his hate appears to be more scapegoating than anything. His message of hate and scapegoating has brought him much influence and enhanced his position.

It's quite possible. Perhaps he didn't used to preach like that, but he had a bad day, changed it up a bit, and found it more successful.

The people in the crowd seemed to like it.

I do not agree with what he says, and I don't think it's healthy. I just understand that there is still some residual anger left over.

I'm an Obama supporter but this bothers me. Guilt by association is a logical fallacy; still his pastor is likely an influential person in Obama's life and could well be speaking Obama's own views. I have heard a lot of inflammatory rhetoric from people on the far left and you have to be aware that it is usually exaggerated for effect. I hope this is the case here, or at least that Obama does not agree.

Obama has stated that he supports Israel, so I don't think he's anti-semitic. As for America being responsible for 9/11, there's possibly some truth in that, but not enough to side with the terrorists. It's ok with me if Obama has some controversial supporters. But I now want to hear his own position on these issues. I'm interested in what he has to say.

I have been on this issue for quite some time now and I have no idea why it took so long for people to wake up and realize what's going on here. The double standard with "PC" has driven this blatant problem to the back pages for too long. Lets be truthful, had this been a white church and Obama was white, he would never have even gotten this far. The church doctrine alone which myself and a couple of others have posted in the past is so racist it sickens me.

Come on. Who cares if this pastor is a little nutty... if you ask me, anyone who can stand in front of about 50 people yelling at them and reminding them they're all going to hell... has got to have at least a few screws loose.

Hundreds of people McCain has come in contact with have turned out to have criminal records at some point in their life.
Thousands of McCain supporters are currently in prison.

I really don't see the shock or outrage here - especially on ATS. The man is just stating publicly what many ATS'ers say anonymously on the web. In fact, I have read worse on ATS. This man has courage, he is not hiding behind a screen name and keyboard.

I can't say that I agree with many of his points but I don't disagree with all of them either. And certainly many of my friends, family and co-workers have said stupid things but that shouldn't implicate me, especially if I renounce it, as Obama has.

This is just old-school political trickery: "Hey! Look over there at that scary mean guy while I steal your purse, kiss your honey and kick your dog."

Barrack Hussein Obama hasn't denounced this preacher because he can't. After all, this preacher married him and his wife. Maybe he can just say he's one of those crazy uncle figures. In any case, I can't believe this inexperienced Senator has come this far in this election. For that matter, ALL the candidates this election are really on the side of "suck-dom".

This is Obama's smoking gun. This pastor is a bonafide America hater. Makes you wonder what Obama hasn't told us about his plans for Americans. Take it from his own paster, this guy is bad news for the U.S.

It's a little more than mere association. This man has supposedly had quite a strong impact on Obama's belief system and values and has been since the senator was a college student. He's one of his most trusted advisers. He's apparently a man Obama wants his children to listen to as well, since he's been taking them to his church for their entire lives. Obama has given thousands of dollars to this pastor and his church.... So if Obama actually does find Wright's message to be contrary to his own true beliefs, he's got a lot of explaining to do.

Anyway, no matter how much the media tries to hide this story, it's just another reason why Obama will never win this campaign. Luckily for McCain's supporters, though, he's already won enough delegates to basically secure the Democratic nomination unless they do something so self-destructive that their candidate will be dommed either way.

Many Liberals are making excuses for Obama since he is the Democrats poster boy. They can't see that he is a can of worms when you look closer, but they refuse to face the facts. He gives good speechs but they lack substance and his plans are socialist based tax hogs. I really do not want Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in cabinet positions, especially when they both should be in jail.

The pastors words are true and althought he could be blamed for living in the past none the less what he says is true. America showed great promise but its people have allowed the despots to take over and they now not only threathen America and its people but the people of the World.

The far right is cruisin' for a bruisin' as they say this coming November.

They hate McCain because he's not nutty enough for them - he has a little integrity problem. IE: he actually has some integrity, something they can't tolerate

Ron Paul, the truest conservative in the race, got kicked aside by the Empire-building crowd that unfortunately calls the shots in the Republican Party.

Despite all the attempts to smear him, Obama continues to take the lead.

All the major polls show him taking the nomination, and going on to solidly beat McCain in November.

And I think Obama's foreign policy is going to be quite a bit different from what we have seen over the past seven years... if not the past seventy.

It's people like the pastor that keeps the race issue alive. Him, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and others who just can't get past the past. This is 2008 and there's been so many black successful men and women and I honestly feel that anyone can and will be President some day. It just has to be the right person for the job and with Obama, he has no experience and no anything really, just looks and can talk the talk. As far as 9/11 goes I'm still up in arms about that. It's became like aliens now, I have no idea what is the truth anymore. I do feel that the politicians, presidents included are to blame not necessarily America ( people ). That video was hate speech and very disturbing, I wouldn't want to be at that church. I really wonder if Obama is living two different life's? One as the politician & smooth talker and one as the real Obama who does hate America. He should let the American people know what he believes in, and if he agrees with his pastor.

People were righteously indignant and outraged. How dare he, hes just like Bush. Hes corrupt, hes nuts!

Now, Obama's preacher says things that are of the same caliber if not worse, but against several Christian denominations (except for black members of those denominations), all non-black races, and the government. And some people applaud and say they agree.

This is what happens when people so blindly follow their political party. In this case, the Democratic National Committee seems to own several people here. Inconsistent much?

I did not hear more than what they showed over and over on tv.
I seemed they were trying to make people hear something the Rev. never said.
What he was saying is that we killed more people than all the terrorists killed, all at once, by dropping atomic bombs.
The media is twisting this to make it sound like some conspiricy crazyness.
