The numbers are not there to back up your claim. The names are not knwon or popular on the internet and that includes the hits created by yesterdays news not to mention all the duplicates.

If these things were truly up without being noticed for weeks, I bet it will come out that someone associated with the ad campaign called in these reports to get attention but they got more than they bargained for. We still don't know the full story.

Serious charges are going to have to fly, since even if they have to pay a few million dollars, that's still cheap for the publicity it's generated. And you know they say there's no such thing as bad publicity. Unless companies are taken out of business and or executives jailed, such guerilla marketing tactics will continue and cause even more mayhem.

Utterly and completely ridiculous! Two men were arrested on charges that they did it intentionally to make it seem like it was a bomb.

What's utterly and completely ridiculous is that TBS hired a couple of losers to place suspicious packages around a city.

That may well be true but what I did in addition was send a picture of the led alleged boards with the characters to my neighbor who is a principal of a midedle school and asked him to ask two clases if they could identify the character. He surveyed two classes 47 students by written ballot and only one knew the character. (I am not positive if he did this personaly but if he did not the teachers of the classes did it for him)

It is only speculation, but while everyone is reading about this, the White House is facing some pretty serious charges from the scientific community. There are alleged government cover ups of critical scientific information, mean while everyone is panicking over the boogyman again.

Ummm... have you ever watched the show? It comes on late at night and is not what you would call... middle school material... it's on a block called "Adult Swim", in Chicago, it comes on 11pm.

That's one hell of an accomplishment in 2 hours. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but it's a little hard to swallow. However, benefit of the doubt, what did he ask? Did only one kid know the name of the charecter? Could other identify where they were from?

Man nice to know you can bring a major city to a halt without the use of bombs, guns or chemical weapons. All you need is a Lite-Brite and some pathetic paranoia.

I never said the White House planted anything. Also what I had to say was only speculation, I even stated that.

Really? I'm almost 2500 miles from Boston and I can't get away from this story. It was the headlining on CNN.com and other MSM news sites.

I'm not surprised at all that such a device would look to security officials like it could be a bomb.

It has wires and blinks. Mainstream America is dumb as nails. I can see how people could confuse it as suspicious. But, the bomb specialists who had to blow up the first couple should have know that it wasn't a bomb at first glance. I'm sure glad they are protecting us.

Ya know, I'm not so sure it's 'mainstream' america... I mean, these things have been up for weeks. Seattle residents saw them, NY residents saw them, even people in Boston saw them over a week ago. All it really took was one phone call, and an overly excited media core.

Make no mistake, I think it was a poor choice, but I also think that it's been blown WAY outta proportion at this point.

So these advertisers are facing five years in prison because of the stupidity of our fine people at Homeland Security?

And the "Boom" box looks like a bomb. even if the outside of it was sealed up and it was properly disguised, it could still have the explosives inside of it. On these things there is no inside. There's not eve a battery cover.

ATHF is targeted at men ages 20 - 28.

I've watched the show for years, so have all of my friends.

I bet most of you couldn't name all of the south park characters either.

Boston was owned by lite brights, fact. No other city freaked out.
