Pujols had his 14th HR today, setting the April mark. He has 2 more days to further that record. It also gave him a total of 32 RBI, which is also an April record. His slugging percentage is a gross .961, and batting .350.

Well... I have a question now. Apparently, the source I used for the April RBI record was inaccurate, as after reading the story on Pujols' 14th HR, it said he tied the franchise record in RBI for April with 32, previously set by McGwire. So aparently, there has been more than 32 RBI's in April by a person, can anyone find this stat? I've looked but can't find it.

All i can find for April is... Barry Bonds - San Francisco - 32 - 1996...... Mark McGwire - St. Louis - 32- 1998 ... For the NL..

But here you go...

AL.. Juan Gonzalez - Texas - 35 - 1998

Seems he's having a heck of a season. It would be great to see him break (junk) Bonds' record.

Today he hit his 25th HR, a 3-run shot in the 7th inning, to give the Cxards a 3-1 lead over the Astros. His 25th is his 2nd HR in he last two days, and gives him a total of 64 rbi. He's on pace, still, for 80 HR's and 200 RBI's.

Coming into today he led the league in HR's, R's, OPS, RBI, and SLG. 25 of his 54 hits tis season are HR's, and 7 more being doubles. Meaning that 60% of his hits are for extra bases, and he has 1.2 RBI's every at-bat.

many thought he'd cool of the farther along in the season we move, but he shows no signs of stopping. I really do hope to see him continue this so we can see a 200 RBI, 80 HR season.
