THE Queen is furious with President George W. Bush after his state visit caused thousands of pounds of damage to her gardens at Buckingham Palace.
Royal officials are now in touch with the Queen's insurers and Prime Minister Tony Blair to find out who will pick up the massive repair bill. Palace
staff said they had never seen the Queen so angry as when she saw how her perfectly-mantained lawns had been churned up after being turned into
helipads with three giant H landing markings for the Bush visit.

No, its just just...LOOK AT HIM! Everywhere he goes, he is an embarrassment to the United States. He is hated worldwide by our enemies AND OUR
ALLIES.
Any leader that needs military forces to protect him from the 'terrarists" just to visit our CLOSEST ally doesn't need to be president.

1. the queen invited his enterage to land there.
2. if you're gonna land a #ing chinook and 2 black hawks in your back yard, expect some vegitative casualties.
3. England can suck my balls.

So, 15,000 policemen, 700 personal security guards and 2 blackhawks is what he needs to feel safe while with his closest allies. I'd hate to be him,
that must be kinda sucky.
I liked this line in the report "But 30,000 visitors did not do as much damage as the Americans did in three days". That cracks me up.
"repairing damage to the lawns and the structure of the Palace will probably have to be picked up by the Government"
Crap! Have you got any idea how much royal grass costs? Each blade is hand grown in special farms in kent. They are transported in individual light
and temperature controlled boxes, then lovingly, painstakingly interwoven into the lawn. £££££
I'd like to see the grand total of the bill for this trip the British taxpayer will no doubt be forced to cover.
This amused me "The Americans made alterations to accommodate specialised equipment. The mass of gadgetry meant the Royals couldn't get a decent TV
picture during the visit."
Bwaah ha ha ha. I bet they got Camilla to tape Eastenders for them!

words fail me
this man has no etiquette, thi lack of etiquette for this particular oaf/rube/lout shall prove to be his doom.
i for one cant think of anyone acting out such a duperous role as he has....
surely, it would have been obvious that choppers in the garden was a no-no.
is the queen right to be frustrated? yes, will he shrug this off with one of his weird comments...bet on it.
will the queen kick tony's a$$ for this?
he's got it coming..
let's see him worm his way out of this one...
i guess we'd better get those shelters back in shape, looks like the world will be witnessing this lout's wrath headed the wrong way soon...

He is an oaf in every way, IMO. And yes, I feel he is more of an embarrassment than any president I've seen in my lifetime.

Actually to add a little spin to this story - when Clinton visited a few years ago he had the same chopper team with him. When he attended a gala
evening in Hyde park - with singers like Pavaroti - many complaints were made about his arrival and departure causing damage and throwing debris and
rubbish over the audience who had payed serious cash to see the concert. Not to mention the noise and disruption to central London traffic.
Its not so much the individual at fault but the processes that have to go on around them.
FWIW Marine One is not a chinook.

I have a question... was President Bush invited to England ? Or did he request this visit ?
You all can say what you want about him, but I don't think that he can be blamed for the grass getting damaged. that's ridiculous ! He didn't
plan the logistics of the trip or ask for permission as to where to land the helicopters... he isn't to blame !
Gett of him, geez... if we're going to bash someone, lets talk about the child molesting "wacko jacko".
