Quicksilver. By definition, terrorism's primary purpose is to instill terror. The more high profile the damage, the more terror instilled. High body-count is icing on the cake...but the primary intent is the cake...not the icing.

I do not believe we should ever rule out a high profile target just because not very many people would die.

But also, on this note, go back and read Nerdlings posts, there are at least 3 towns/cities that would be completely wiped out if the Hoover Dam went. Laughlin is one of them.

Consider this:

What if the "warning for brothers to leave Washington, New York and Los Angeles" is a call to action for three cells from those cities.

Don't know how large a cell is, but let's say there are five people in each one...that's 15 people if there is only one cell per city.

Setting aside the Hoover target, you could reek quite a bit of havoc on "sin city" if 15 suicide bombers hit 15 casinos!!! AND, virtually shut down Las Vegas's economy for a spell.

But vegas does have appearance of all the american ways, and evils we permit. Much of what goes on in vegas, is outlawed in many arabic states. And what better way to get our attention, than take away our 'evil' fun.

There won't be any terrorist attacks on November 11, or any time soon in the mainland US.

I say that with 100% confidence, and I don't personally know any terrorists, anywhere. Except for some elements of the Bush admin.

I have determined that the site quoted in the first post, that I have been monitoring for 9-10 months, is totally unreliable and I make that remark with all accompanying pomp and ceremony.

But don't take it from me. Live through 11 November and then you will see.

For the last few months I have heard rumors about the possiblity of attacks in november on either the 9th of november or the 11th. This seems to be somewhat real regarding the amount of calls I have recived on these threats. Time will tell but somthing tells me in light of the Opec Decision and russia and other countrys cutting off the United States oil starting january 2004 that we are going to have a incident shortly.

I find that really interesting. Can you define the "something" that tells you?

Is it inductive or deductive reasoning?
Is it the Bush admin's terror campaign working on you?
Is it psychic ability?

When nothing has happened on November 9 or November 11, why not return and let us know what it was about the"something" that failed you.

Not to pick holes, but instead to try to improve how intelligence is used.

Or maybe, as has been commented on in other threads, the "game" of anticipating tragedy and loss of human life is the fun that people at ATS seek.

Ok, Mexico is near Nevada so they could probably fly a cargo plane in from there, right out in the desert i doubt they secure the landing strips, if you keep low enough you could avoid radar and every population centre, being that close to the border also gives the air defence forces very little time to react, it takes 15 minutes to get a fighter ready, and more in most cases, 30 is the standard alert.

Load a cargo plane with home made explosives and you've got one mother#er of a bomb.

Good deduction, Nerdling. But I'm trying to get straight how much damage could really be done to Hoover with a cargo plane. I don't know, that's a big slab of concrete!

My gut leans toward multiple suicide bombers in casinos, but that's just my guess.
