Which is funny since they (including the Pope) are priests & are supposed to take vows of poverty, but they are probably amongst the richest people in the world.

This just shows your ignorance....not all clergy take vows of poverty (most don't), only those clergy/religious in certain monastic orders (Franciscans, Dominicans, Benedictines, Carthusians) which require it.

Yes, the Pope lives in a lavish apartment, but it is not his real or personal property any more than the White House and its goods are of any sitting US President.

Let's not be too taken by smoke and mirrors now, people. The Pope can give to a charity and seem like a big fricking good guy, yet we all know that when a giant war corporation does the same thing they are just trying to look good. THE VATICAN HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN WAR POLITICS AND AGENDA FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS NOW, AND ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN BAE SYSTEMS, GDRS, RAYTHEON, MARCONI, GE... and I needn't go on. It's out there for all to realize if books are only unforgotten.

his thread of mine now exists in four topics on the Vatican, but it is well-deserved.

Let me clarify some blatant, yet fairly un-connected global truths related to the Vatican and the GIANT religio-political war game, which they've thus far been winning due to the slowness of their moves, that has taken place now for a long time.

The vatican owns a huge telescope on Mt Graham in Arizona. Wonder what they're looking for. They know something we don't, maybe?

I would imagine they know quite a bit that we don't. Now, will that secret knowledge ever be confirmed? Well, the last 1700 years has shown no inclination that it ever will be. They are like politicians, conceal and obfuscate...

Is this true?

What's up with that.

What else do they own that is out of the ordinary

I'll bet you dimes to donuts that you would be reaaaaaaally disappointed.

The reality? Probably a lot of books on how to grow wheat in an arid environment...

You obviously have no idea what the acknowledged library of the Vatican contains, let alone the un-acknowledged. Statements like yours just reminds me of the tendency for people to vastly underestimate the wealth of institutions. The Vatican is an enormous center of influence in the world. I think you understate the historical evidence of this.

This isn't just to speak of the acknowledged Libraries etc. As I said, there are vast wells of knowledge that are kept from the public. Why wouldn't the vatican be such an institution of knowledge? They contain secrets just like the government does. Among these secrets are things far more interesting than agricultural records.

Apparently, according to a documentary i watched a couple of years ago, on the history of erotic art/pornography, the Vatican holds the Worlds largest private collection of pornography!

Not smutty Hustler or Penthouse obviosley, but woodcuttings and images hundreds of years old, real collector stuff worth millions.

I'll try and find some proof somewhere, but it was a genuine documentry.

Scrub that i am proved wrong by own hand as in this link,
Vatican Chief Librarian
Which does list some items that are stored there.

Very true, I heard a show about this on an AM talk radio show.

www.coasttocoastam.com

You can either type up that address or www.vaticanobservatory.org. It is run by a Jesuit Brother, Guy Consolmagno.

The Vatican is hiding passages of scripture that would prove that the catholic religion is wrong.

Not the whole of christianity however, just to make that clear.

Simple and that really is all they are hiding.

The passages they have would clear a lot of things up in christianity but it would destroy catholicism.

If you ever want to find out where to start, look into the italian freemasons (p2 lodge), they are corrupt.
Mafia, italian freemasons and the vatican.

Just watch the back of your head as this is an actual conspiracy that could get you in harms way.

Ignatius of Loyola and the Jesuits have infiltrated the Vatican and have taken control of it over several centuries. They along with the Knights of Malta have also seized control over all the major intelligence agencies of the world (CIA, FBI, MOSSAD, SIS, et al).

Some believe the Jesuits created the religion of Islam with the purpose of having it take control of Jerusalem and the temple mount, which it did, then to have them turn over Jerusalem to the Jesuits so they could rule from the throne of a rebuit temple, but the created Muslims refused to go along with the plan and decided to keep Jerusalem for themselves.

Also, the control center for the Hubble Telescope and the NASA Technology Transfer Station is located at the Jesuit University in West Virginia.

While I am not sure of specifics, I'm convinced through a lot of my own research in a variety of practices that what they hold would be so illusion-shattering that it would induce mass panic in people.

It is by no mere coincidence the massive amounts of similarities ALL ancient and religious historical accounts talk of. It is no coincidence that Christianity pre-Roman conversion and post-Roman conversion have such staunch differences going even as far as being able to claim that Christianity from the start was a much more esoteric practice coupled with strong similarities to Ancient Indian philosophies and beliefs.

And it is a pretty obvious fact that, once you dig into it, the basis of Academia and Scientific research are just as dogmatic as any world religion and that the corruption can in fact be tied to The Vatican's still predominant control of much of western societies held to beliefs. So to think that even most of these secret records have been disclosed upon or that anyone with a Ph.D can walk in, walk out, and discuss the truth of the matter to the public is utterly silly. It goes so far that even a majority of those that believe in Hinduism and Buddhism have been affected by this, discounting a variety of ancient texts to the point that the true nature of Ancient India, and the very time lines we are lead to believe, has been utterly obscured and distorted. And these distortions CAN be followed right to the Vatican.

Many conspiracies coincide and interrelate with one another, and The Vatican is certainly a dominant force in this web of illusion created by whoever TPTB may be. I'm sure all 3 "Abrahamic" traditions are not what they seem or what they are suppose to be. I believe that, at the very core of it, Judaism and Christianity have been corrupted by the same force, and that Islam, while not related to the corruption of the other two, has faced it's own corruption, and they openly conflict with those that control the other two.

We'll know soon enough, I'm sure. The web is involving and the world is changing in more ways then one. Change is certainly in the air, but I don't believe it will be traditional changes. Whether the change to come is positive or negative, deals with gods and the true nature of reality or extraterrestrials, or a One World Government, or a large mixture of all of these, we're going to find out soon enough. Assuming no mass genocides or cataclysmic catastrophes occur.

Many seem to hold an image of the Vatican more in line with a Monty Python sketch than reality. The Vatican sponsors many scientific endeavors.

Mohammed developed Islam after being rejected by the Jews and Christians in the Arabian Peninsula. Islam is unrelated to Judaism and Christianity and worships a deity usurped from the Kabba. Islam is not an Abrahamic faith and muslims do not worship God.

I would not presume to place limits on the infinite.

We should, however, at least be clear about what religions worship what deities and Islam does not worship the same deity as the Jews or the Christians. Muslims worship the Allah deity that was present in the Kabba prior to the invention of Islam.

Let me ask this, which is better for Church power, to have a person read the Bible for themselfs and make their own decisons about their faith or to be spoon fed pre-approved doctrine from a preist?

You are absolutely right about this. However, you make it seem as if only the Catholic church has done this.. The Protestants are just as guilty. Ask a Protestant whether he/she thinks you should take the pastors word on the gospel or if you should read it and decide for yourself what it means. See what they tell you.

I know and I am sorry for my little rant. To answer the person who questioned my last post:

No I am not a Catholic and yes it dose matter what language was used. It is true that Masses that are given in other languages today, but they where not for 1,040 odd years. So what that means for that period of time, the biggest Church secret was the content of the Bible itself. The Church would put on Bibical Plays to teach the lay people Bible Storys but did not jump into specific issues of Church Dogma. For example, Matthew 16:18 "And I say to you: That you are Peter; and upon this rock I will bulid my church, and the gates of hell prevail against it." This passage is used to legitimize the succesion of the Papacy from Peter. But can someone please point out where it says that the Bishop of Rome is the leader of the Catholic Church?

Hate to spoil the fun but those documents have been made available to Catholic and non-Catholic scholars in concerted effort since 1944.

From the Vatican site:

The New American Bible has accomplished this in response to the need of the church in America today. It is the achievement of some fifty biblical scholars, the greater number of whom, though not all, are Catholics. In particular, the editors-in-chief have devoted twenty-five years to this work. The collaboration of scholars who are not Catholic fulfills the directive of the Second Vatican Council, not only that "correct translations be made into different languages especially from the original texts of the sacred books," but that, "with the approval of the church authority, these translations be produced in cooperation with separated brothers" so that "all Christians may be able to use them."

Also, Latin was not just the language of the Church. Latin and French were the common languages in the middle ages due to the power and influence of the French and the Roman empire.

In the "what is the most powerful group" thread I made the comment that I think the Vatican is one of them.

We all know that they have a huge underground bunker with miles of shelving holding one of a kind books and documents.

Will any of these see the light of day again?

I personally think, based on years of research on various topic ranging from the occult to ancient estoric and magick, that the Vatican holds some of the darkest secrets ever known to mankind. I also happen to think that the Knights Templar held secrets that would have brought down the Holy Roman Church and all of it's descendants, and the Vatican may or may not have those particular documents. I think that the Vatican is "in the Loop," that is, within the inner circle of knowledge shared within the cream of the secret societies and top government officials. Their sins are many, and one day they will pay the Piper.
