It's not like I'm gonna go shoot up a courthouse or anything like that.
I'm sticking with posters for the time being... I don't wanna end up in
a white room with a straight-jacket

Hey, Borg, you seem as the Utopian type, I like guys like that, we think of cooperating instead of using eachother for our own benefits.
Anyways, what kind of government do you propose for us all?
I know you say, we need change, what kind?
I myself have a scetch of a possible Utopia, eventually leading to space expansion and such... But I'd need some creative critisism and suggestions.
For now, just tell me what you think would be a good and just government for us all.

[edit on 31-1-2006 by Radekus]

I'd like to answer that.
If a 'good and just government' could possibly exist it would be composed of people who are constantly being monitored on all aspects of their life, much like this government choses to spy on some of us.
A "Big Brother" scenario (like the tv show) would be the most effective way to insure that the people chosen to make decisions that will effect millions of lives are doing so with obvious intentions.
The U.S. government was created by people who wanted to officially dominate the people of this world, so it is hard to consider that a 'proper' government could exist.
In a perfect world a government would only be needed as a 'guardian' figure, a body of power and authority that would only serve to protect us from outside dangers that we cannot see, or defend ourselves from. A government led by people who are not afraid of the rest of the world discovering what they do behind closed doors is the only source of authority that should ever exist, especially after this fiasco.
The ultimate solution to a perfect 'guardian' would be an organization of people from around the world who have only one thing to consider when they are making decisions for our future, US.

We also need a fundamental set of rules that will apply to everything with a conscious mind in this world, such as...
1. Love your Mother and Father sources of life.
2. Worship everything that your Mother and Father have blessed you with.
3. Keep your hands to yourself or die.
4. Your life today is worthless if you are not making your life in the future better.

I'll be glad to help you in any way if it will help you share your sketch of Utopia, eventho' you are not asking me.
I have tons of ideas too.. just not a 'sketch' to present others with.

cool, then we can get started no?
Oh, and, parents didn't love me back,
so I learned to be annoyed with them,
So I moved out. I'm 18.
I was thinking of not making a one leader
government, more like a republic, many leaders,
who pass votes. There must be 13 of these members,
all with crazy raddical ideas, so that the bitching and
whinning creates a solution fit for all. Then we could,
I dunno, ask the people if they support it or not?
Or you could have reporters follow the president
everywhere, piss him off, harass his familly,
just like reporters do to hollywood actors

Britany pregnant with not husband's child

naaaaaaah, tooo evil, the president would resign in a
matter of months.

“None Of The Above” needs to be placed on the ballot. It is a legitimate option. It allows people who normally wouldn’t vote to vote and honestly state their opinion.

Many people have that mindset: www.votenoneoftheabove.us...

Too bad we have the Electoral College. Even if more than 50% voted "None of the Above" (if it was implemented), the Electoral College doesn't follow any sort of rules that it once had. With the amount of money being raised by these presidential "candidates," isn't it rather easy to buy someone's vote?

Here's a good question: How much is someone's vote worth (that is, the votes that matter, aka: the Electoral College)?

You raise a good point! Here's another: If all the members of the Electoral College are all voters, and they are NOTbound by strict rules that say they MUST ALWAYS follow the will of the majority(which they aren't), doesn't that mean Some people get to vote Twice in the same election? How fair is that?

You were doing fine untill you started worrying about what other people would think. Describing a Utopia isnt that big of a deal, just overcome your insecurities about what the people living in hell are going to think about your ideas. More than likely, you will always be ridiculed.
As far as your age and experience with your parents I understand, my wife's 17 yr old nephew just landed here about a month ago from being on the run from his dad.
He doesn't like the tone of my voice or my advice either, but he likes my cooking enough to gain more than 15 lbs since he got here.

I like your ideas, and yes our leaders should definitely be completely 'exposed'. The discussion of our future should never be handled with a nod or a wink, or discussed like some dirty little secret behind doors.

You were doing fine,
just run with it.

WE the PEOPLE don't mean crap to those the rich! They think of all the hard times as just a way of keep the pop down as long as they don't get killed.

I'm not lazy, I'm just so broke that I can't do anything right now...
maybe that's their plan, get everyone so broke that they can't afford to
fight back...

Anyways, I'll try doing what I can here in Canada.

Big deal!

Were you not raised in a civilization where there was 'somebody' watching over you ?

If there is something you want to express or get off ov your chest the cut loose with it!
If you get in trouble blame it on me, tell 'them' it was all my fault and get on with it man.

I am SO on a list somewhere.
And you guys are too!
Remember, when they brake open
your door, tell them that it was your
neighboor, that way they'll get
confused and in the meantime,
you'll run away through the back door.
Seriously now, I hope I don't end up
in a concentration camp...

I have talked to a lot of other cops on this and guards and ARMY and so on.
We would not do that! They would have to bring in the UN and what a fight they would have on there hands.
I Do not believe it would come to this! Not in our life time....... I hope

if it does come to this, we can easily say goodbye to our freedoms...
ooops, too late...
We now have to think what they want us to think, I got hand first
experience in this. The education system. When you write what
YOU think, your opinions and such, you will pass with a 60, or fail, you usually fail. Now, I was doing bad, I was barely passing, so I wrote on my final what THEY wanted me to write. I knew I was selling my soul, but I did it, I got 90%... Yea... um... anyone see a patern?

In responce to the thread, there's a similar situation in the UK - probably for the same reasons we don't revolt either, besides if a revolution was to begin it would be silenced very quickly by the government anyway - looks like we're stuck.

You need to back up off that pipe man, or pass it.

If your scared of this or any government looking for 'you', then tell us....
what are they looking for ?

that way the rest of us will know if you come up missing ,,,
relax bro.

'the government' would be just as excited as the rest of the world if you spit out something POSITIVE, instead of trip'n out like the 'shadow people' are lurking around the corner from you..

see what thinking about 'something better' does to ya'?

Don't be skair'd
you were doing good !

I'm scared of the consequences of what I might do.
First they'll blame me for loitering and litering,
then they'll blame me for harassment,
then they'll put me in jail for no reason, other
that they want me neutralised as a threat.
Oh, and, it's high time that I get drunk,
time to relax and forget, mmmmm.
