US again vetoes Gaza cease-fire resolution at UN Security Council

Genocide Joe has once again directed his ambassadors to once again vetoe a UN Security Council vote on a Gaza cease-fire resolution.

Is this the correct position for the Biden Administration to take on the Israeli-Gaza war? Many people are being hurt in that conflict and a cease-fire is desperately needed.

Is this a position that the Biden campaign can afford to take at this time? Their coalition is dependent on groups that are not happy with the Israeli military campaign.

NEW YORK — The United States was the lone veto against a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza on Tuesday, marking the third time Washington has opposed such a measure.

The vote on the resolution drafted by Algeria was 13-1, with the U.K. abstaining, on the 15-member council. The veto puts the U.S. increasingly out of step on the world stage as it faces criticism for its support for Israel in the campaign against Hamas in Gaza, launched after the militant group’s deadly Oct. 7. assault that killed some 1,200 people.

I may not agree with their massive bombing campaign. But Israel should be free to deal with Hamas as they see fit.

Because Hamas is holding 140 hostages, some of whom are Americans, and they will not let them go. Because if there is a ceasefire, it is nothing more to Hamas then a chance to reload because they have promised they will NEVER STOP attacking Israel until it is destroyed. Because a ceasefire is a win for Hamas, they get the fighting to stop without having to release the hostages.

No. I did not.

Please realize that before October 7, there was a ceasefire in place. Hamas violated that by invading.
At that point, you have to defend your people. And unfortunately your enemy hides behind civilians. Many "innocent" will be killed because of that cowardness. This is the leadership voted in....10 years ago. They had the opportunity to vote in others who did not campaign on destroying Israel.

17 years ago actually and collective punishment of a civilian population is a war crime so holding a people accountable for the actions of a group is war crime and Israel is committing Genocide.
